Service by hostess was terrible! We walked in and the hostess said she would be right with us. Her tone was loud and annoyed. She stood there for five minutes texting on her phone. Someone else walked in and asked how long the wait was -- she said 90 minutes. If she had informed us of that when we arrived we would not have waited. There was no reason to know there was a wait because two tables open the entire time we were standing there. May not sound like a big deal but it was rude and unfortunate. read more

Crafted has a wide variety of food on the menu. The tacos are creative and there are a lot of options to customize. The duck fat braised collards are a must! The service was great! I went for lunch bc and they were busy. I will definitely try Crafted again. read more

First time here during a very slow afternoon. Person that sat us was pleasant. Water delivered and tacos ordered. Pretty quick and expected with no others sitting except for bar Tacos were nothing particular outstanding by any means and we've eaten at some of the best tacos shops in the country as well as Mexico so yes the bar is set high and after reading other Yelp reviews we decided to give it a shot. The staff was having a meeting and didn't recognize we were finished with our meal and more or less ignored us until we had to signal someone. Price was high for 2 fairly simple and easy to make tacos. The flour tortillas chips were different than typical corn tortilla chips and pretty tasty. They also serve burgers but unsure if we would give them are try considering other pure play burger joints are abundant in the area. I liked the burgers better then the tacos. My wife asked about the level of spiciness and was assured it was not at all spicy... and it was spicy for her. She was told that everything is made fresh and sometimes peppers are more spicy then at others which makes sense. They changed her order without any problem. greeted by a masked person.. not sure why-- was he/she sick... dont know.... which is o.k--- then waited a few minutes for a table... we wanted a salad... whole restaurant was out of salad... hmmm... grocery stores have salad....ordered big truck... asked waitress to bring chips before the meal... my buddy orderd flour chips... i ordered corn chips= they brought the same corn chips...... brought the " big truck: out...should be named little truck...one can get the meal I had in a taco truck on the side of the road....nice little place with hard chairs and having to keep our fleeces on to stay warm... staff was nice.... but could have done taco bell for the same portions and warmer feel....food was just o.k..... and my group said the same thing.... read more

First I knew we were in trouble when they were on a wait with open tables. Having gone there before the food was always pretty good. Today was not the case. My tacos were almost inedible. My wife ordered the burger and the cooks must have spilt salt on it. The manager took it back to the kitchen and told us the cooks did not give her very good feedback. Not sure what the heck that meant. A simple I'm sorry would have sufficed. I would not recommend nor am I going back. read more

Last night, downtown Mebane was hosting 3 different events that drew the biggest crowd of people I've ever seen. There aren't a ton of food options downtown so you can imagine how busy the local restaurants can get when the whole town is enjoying a night out. We picked Crafted to eat at and not only was the food amazing, but the staff and service were outstanding. The staff handled the stress of the crowds like pros. The food was delicious and even after a long (but expected) wait time, it came out quick and fresh. The smash burger was so good, the drinks were yum and the fries were the best I've ever had. The hostess was so patient with everyone bombarding her at the door, she greeted everyone with a smile as she juggled cleaning tables and calling people from the wait list. The servers had to hustle but remained attentive, friendly, and patient with everyone coming in to use their bathroom. This place got hit hard, but thrived under the pressure. Way to go Crafted team! December 21, 2023. My granddaughter and I were out shopping and decided it was time to grab lunch. She wanted me to try out Crafted because she had visited this establishment with a family friend a few months ago. Upon entering, there was a 5-10 minute wait time which was not bad for the time of day (1:00pm). We were seated around 1:06pm. We finally had a wait staff (the same person working the bar) walk in our direction with four glasses of water. She stopped to acknowledge the couple that was seated after we were and then proceeded to place two glasses of water on our table. She did not speak, just stated; I'll be back. Ten minutes passed, the hosted was still seating guest, another waitress walked by and finally, the individual working the bar came back and took the couples order that was seated after us. She did not acknowledge us any more! The time is now 1:30 ish. I shared with my granddaughter that we needed to leave. She begged me to stay because she really wanted the burrito from there. Finally, the waitress who placed orders at the kiosk next to us stated, what can I get for you. Very, very unpleasant attitude. I placed the order even through I was bothered that after 30 minutes, no one had came back to take our order. Needless to say; the order was taken. Another 15 minutes passed and when the food came out it was wrong! She bought two tacos for my grand daughter instead of the burrito. I had to call her back over to get it corrected and she was not happy. I ask the waitress for ice because ours had melted in the tea from waiting so long. Then I need ranch dressing which I ordered when I placed the order. She bought the glass of ice and sat it hard on the table and placed the dressing without saying a word. Yes, I took a deep breath and shook my head but, wanted my grand to be happy. Her comment about the order was , " you mean to tell me you want a burrito with just chicken" and I stated , yes, that's what she ordered. Finally, I told my granddaughter let's checkout! No, we had not received the correct order. I walk over to the bar area to check out and I ask to see the manager. Needless to say, the manager was the lady who bought us the water but never returned to our take our order yet, took care of the party next to us. I shared the food was cold plus it was the wrong order for my grand, and that we had waited one hour and fifteen minutes to get food. She stated that it was because schools were out. I shared, how I watch her and others take orders all around us yet, we were not served in a timey manner. She asked was the bill okay, I said no...my granddaughter did not eat but one of the cold fries!! The "manager" just looked away, started wiping off the bar area and waited for me to pay! Then the waitress walks out with the burrito in her hand and asked if we wanted to take it. The worse service ever, the food was horrible to say the least. I will NEVER visited or suggest this restaurant to anyone. I would give our experience a zero for everything except the hostess that seated us. read more
