It was a nice event, lots of options for containers and the instructor had a good energy. I was happy with my succulent arrangement (sad there wasn't a gnome, but I liked the duck, ladybug and chameleon I added). I like Yaymaker because of the convenience, all the supplies are there for you, no setting up or cleaning, and you come home with a cute piece of art after a few hours. Very minimal commitment. :)

Arriving 20 minutes prior to our scheduled session, we placed food and drink orders at the bar (my wife and I opted to order two Old Fashioneds). We then proceeded to enter the classroom where we met our instructor (unfortunately I did not obtain her name). After giving us a few tips, we started the project. Our instructor did a great job of pausing after each step to ensure that everyone was on the same page and even walked around the class to offer suggestions (I felt like I was in university again). I'm so thankful that I only had one drink, the bartender working that evening made some potent cocktails (not a complaint). If you can imagine, remaining focused on painting when buzzed is a challenge in itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Pinot's Palette and the romantic paint selection was appropriate for a couple's night out. Also, the music selection was on point! We will definitely make a return visit for their candle making class!

Candle making was relaxing and the instructor was very helpful. Also, I had the Anaheim chicken taquitos from their menu and they were great. I thought they had a pretty good selection of drinks and food items to choose from. I had a mocktail and it was pretty good! I really enjoyed the whole experience and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a low key new experience to enjoy with friends!

My first time in 2017, I didn't even drink my wine as to I was too concentrated on my painting! And that one was a masterpiece too. And tonight, was my time to SHINE AGAIN! I needed some "MEENA TIME" and while searching for Sacramento events, up came "Painting and Vino". Now, there is NO WINE at the event despite the name and they make that clear before booking. So please read before buying your ticket! BUT you're more than welcome to bring your own Vino and snacks!! Tonight Painting n Vino was held at, "Crystal Vibez" in Sacramento and hosted by the Sweet Wonderful Kathy!! She was the most nicest, kindest art instructor and she has so much patience! She showed us to paint a sunset overlooking an island. And she went step by step with what brushes, strokes, color blending and all to do! And a few hours later my masterpiece was born! And I made some new friends while painting away! You must sign up for a class, it's so much fun! And you meet all kinds of fun people and the best part is seeing everyone's masterpieces at the end! When you first walk in there's lots of local vendors in the Sacramento area promoting their goods and services. After that you walk through the corridor and see lots of local artist work and exhibits. There are days they're doing live demonstrations as well as live music and they had a cool raffle.There also was lots of food given away like a charcuterie cup, cheesecake and a lot of mixologist non-alcoholic of course. Overall it was a fun event and it's really cool to see what the inside looks like a great opportunity for our youth

I love this cultural center! I have only been there once for it's drumming class. Victor was…read moreextremely patient, polite, friendly and easy going. I was not very good at drumming both the beat and holding the sticks properly and he kept redirecting me and giving me help like chanting on beat. More importantly I brought my family and my brother is autistic. My brother saw a big drum set and just jumping and started playing. We felt bad and triesd o tell him to stop but Victor said it was fine and to let him continue playing. A great experience and I am so glad I had it and was glad to contribute to this community center financially. It's not overly technical and it was a small class (at least the day I went). It was relaxed, fun, and at my own pace. The center also offers many other classes like Samba for $15 at same time and locations as drumming. Classes are led by instructor Saara Burga, a master dancer hailing from Manaus, Brazil with a lifetime of experience in various Brazilian dance styles and Victor Hugo a drumming either extensive experience in Brazilian drumming across South America. The center also offers portugese language classes that require pre-registration, Brazalian and Latin American fesivals and events, capoeira workshops and other workshops. You can also volunteer with them and I will provide that information below. I am so glad to see that this place is still running as I had read that previously it was on the verge of being replaced by a different community center which would be sad since this is the only Brazilian one. I am grateful they are bringing Brazilian culture to our city keeping it's roots alive. I hope it stays a while! What Volunteering Looks Like 1. Event Support Volunteers help at cultural events and performances by: Setting up instruments and equipment Helping with sound or staging Greeting guests Assisting performers Helping with clean-up Distributing programs or schedules These events include samba shows, dance performances, music ensembles, and community cultural celebrations. 2.
