Took grandson to Crafty Burger for grandpa grandson burger night out. Boy what a disappointment, where's the beef? Ordered a medium cooked single burger, the burger was over cooked (leather), the meat was a little larger than a fifty cent piece, the bun wasn't toasted(I asked it to be toasted) and it fell apart. My grandson ordered the double burger.... where's the beef? Same problem, two patties the size of a fifty cent piece. The onion rings were awful, the beans were ok. The fired pickles were very good. Service was nice enough, but the floor was filthy. It's not a good first impression to walk in the door and see food all over the floor. This place definitely has the three b's down: Burgers, beer cheese mac, and bread pudding. I ordered the Good Egg Burger (grilled onions, cheddar, bacon, and a fried egg....comes with mayo but I subbed in red pepper mayo). This is definitely one of the best burgers that I have had in recent years, and certainly rivals Burger Republic (see review). If you get any side, make sure you get some bread pudding. It is mind-blowingly good. They did the right thing by not ruining it with raisins. In addition to the great food they also have a great selection of bourbon and beers (on tap and bottled). We were so excited to try this place. The atmosphere is great, they have a great selection of adult drinks and the staff is amazing. The flavor combinations on the menu were very impressive for the burgers. So the reason we gave them 4 stars is because they ask how to cook your burger and we asked for medium rare. Both my burger and my husbands came out well done. The runny eggs that topped the burger was fried flat, not runny at all. I think if the owners take more time to train the staff, this place will be exceptional and a place we would visit very often. They have a great concept and if the cooks can get the cooking up to par, it will be amazing!!! read more

I will DEFINITELY not be coming back. I pulled in at 9:51PM (which I get it... seeing a customer 10 minutes before closing would suck) I used to work in retail and hated that, but it's part of the job. However, your establishment is open for another 9 minutes; and doesn't close at 9:51. Any who, I got out of my car, and a blond bar tender who was smoking said "you do realize we close in 9 minutes, right?" Excuse me? If only she knew I was there to drop something off to my wife... What a disappointment. I have been dying to try this place. All of the pictures and reviews were really good. I went with the bacon egg and cheese burger with sweet potato fries and a side salad. The sweet potato fries and the side salad were actually really good. But the burger? Oh man - it had no taste at all. All I could taste was the egg. On the positive side I think it didn't have much salt which was probably good for my health, but the burger lacked flavor completely. Food was good, beer was cold, didn't have to wait too long for any of that.. these are the good things. Our server was a cool guy but not super attentive. We ended up having to ask the hostess for our check because we couldn't find him and as much as we love sitting and staring at each other we also wanted to get up and go nap our food comas off at home. There were only like 3 or 4 other tables in there so it's not like the guy was busy.. but oh well. Luckily the food runner/fellow server brought out our food when it was nice and hot and the server did come by to check on us. This is a very good place to get a quick burger or chicken sandwich. walked here from out hotel and had a great experience. This place has one of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. I wish I could say the same about the cheese fries though. They were extremely sweet due to the apple bacon but I also had the house salad which was cucumbers olives and some other things and it was pretty good. For dessert we all got the fried Oreos which were amazing! This is a pretty good restaurant and within walking distance it would make a great evening walk to and from. read more

I chose this place because my boyfriend is greedy and every food option comes with two sides. He ordered the Crafty BBQ burg'r and I ordered the Cinco Cheese Burg'r with jalapeños. We both ordered fries and mac n cheese as our sides. The food came out fast and it was great! They forgot my jalapeños, but it was so good that I didn't notice until after I had finished my burger. I've been going to Crafty Burger since they open I am simply addicted to the bacon egg pimento cheese burger love it we went in June 11 and they gave us hamburgers that had been soaked in water or something the buns were nothing but soggy mess. The whole experience very disappointed. had to call back three times to get a hold of the right management person which is the runaround. My bill was $38+ we got a refund complete refund of all of it. We like to visit this location in Antiquity when we are going to events at Old Town Cornelius. I usually get the Buffalo Chicken Salad, as I'm looking for healthy alternatives. It's a pretty tasty healthy option. My other family members do enjoy the burgers as well. The service we have has never been bad, but it certainly is better sometimes than others. I like Crafty Burger and this new location in Antiquity is great! Their burgers are very reasonably priced and you get a choice of TWO sides. Not many places offer that. They have a great chickpea seasonal salad that I always get and then I rotate between the Mac n cheese and fries. The veggie burger is one of the better ones I've had, but need burgers are great too. I love the BBQ and bacon jam one. I only wish the buns were a little more artisanal. Since the burgers are so loaded, the buns become pretty moist and mushy quickly. They have a nice patio here as well as indoor seating. I happened to call ahead and place an order to go, and it was ready in 15 minutes. Will definitely be spending a lot more time here! read more

Service - 1/5 - Server screwed up the drinks (including water) twice and didn't keep filled; couldn't comprehend a simple request about condiments (mayo only on top), but brought as a side; when we were asking for items not to be on the burger, the server had to keep checking the menu to see if the items were on the burgers (learn the menu?) - asked for no onions and then it was missing cheese (might have been a kitchen error); only said I was taking half the burger home three (3) times before I had to ask for a box to go. Food - 3/5 - Burgers were very pink for medium, and bun soggy and falling apart on the bottom (freshly washed lettuce leaves won't help that); burgers, mac&cheese, salad, onion rings (thin/soft), and bread pudding all tasty (so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt), but the GI issues 24+ hours later indicate (either negligence or intentional?) poor hygiene or food handling. Ambience - Somehow very loud for so few people (and the noise wasn't from the TVs). Price - Good, especially since the burgers come with two sides.
