Cool Fish is a funky restaurant with tons of choices, like the loaded spring rolls with spicy crab or the gorgeous Pink Lady roll which is a huge hit. I loved how jam packed with veggies, egg and pork belly the ramen is and the sizzling Korean Short Ribs were a show stopper and oh so flavorful. The Gochujang wings were super crispy and perfectly sauced. I'm a big fan of poke and the Hawaiian Poke Bowl didn't disappoint. Everything was fresh and bright. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing cocktails offered! Mona's Painkiller was tropical, sweet and just gorgeous. Another Juan was a fun take on the traditional smoked old fashioned. Both were delicious and rivaled trendy city cocktail bar drinks. Something you don't see everywhere are the Hemp Botanicals they offer which are zero calories.

Love the Vibes. Small Place with Big Personality. Bartenders are AWESOME! Very friendly and tentative! 10 out of 10. Food is 7 out of 10. Pink Lady Roll added jalapeño and cream cheese the tuna was a little to mushy for my liking in my sushi rolls. But GREAT presentation!!!! May need more shrimp less tuna. The Korean Short Ribs 5 out of 10 as I like my authentic ones on the bone but flavor was good and texture was good too. To many Onions! Came out on a cool sizzling tray! Presentation GREAT! Prices 10 out of 10. $$

This fun spot is tucked away in a shopping center in Cornelius. It's packed on a Saturday afternoon and this was our second visit - the first time we came was the end of 2022 and it was packed then too. Th food is good and the music is great. Both times they've had a dj on deck which is really nice. I tried the Korean short ribs both times and both times I wanted the appetizer all to myself. They are delicious. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly charred - they come out sizzling hot on a cast iron dish with onions and peppers OMG. I had sushi as my entree both times and that was good too, but those short ribs! They take the cake. Prices are reasonable and menu is extensive.

I absolutely love it here. Every time I head back the menu is refreshed so you get to try new things. The outdoor seating is my favorite around this time of year. I've never had a bad experience and the food is always on point. I'd definitely recommend everyone to try them out.

Kept hearing about this place and it sounded really cool (no pun intended). LOL! The vibe here is great...great atmosphere, music (I think there's a DJ in the weekend), drinks, etc. Their tagline denotes they're not just another sushi joint - and that's right! They have numerous options to choose from for food - sushi, tacos, fries, etc. something for everyone! Also, the drink options they craft are good - using top shelf, GOOD liquors for most of the drinks they make (vodkas, bourbons/whiskeys, tequilas, etc)! That right there told me a LOT about this place being legit! The servers are great and friendly! They give you recommendations for food a drink options and are really helpful! Cool Fish is located off E. Catawba and Main St/115/Old Statesville - in the same shopping center as the Harris Teeter. So there is plenty of parking available in the lot, when you go. Also, depending on what time of day you go, you can make it a one-stop-shop and grab everything you need at the time with retail, shopping, etc. Definitely give them a try if you're in the area or passing through! Can't wait to go back again to try more dishes and drinks!

Everything we tried was great. I had pork belly bao & two kinds of nigiri. (My friend had spring rolls & fish tacos.) $6 prosecco on draft! Next time we plan to order the Korean short ribs. The table next to us had them: they came out on a sizzling platter, & looked/smelled DIVINE! Also plan to try the potstickers next time: duck & cream cheese, say WHAT?!?!?

Not what I was expecting! I walked in and it was pretty loud. There wasn't a host stand but someone was needed to seat me. I opted for a seat outside which made the volume level much better. I really enjoyed my drink and appetizer of the Not So Typical Potstickers (probably should have ordered a 2nd one). I got the Green Devil Roll which had the perfect amount of spice.

Cool Fish, "Not Your Typical Sushi Joint".... Ok, I'll give them that. What makes it not typical for this Yelper is the selection of apps, which they call "Shareables". There are some unique items that show up on a menu here. I couldn't resist the Asian Chicken Waffle Sliders. Probably the highlight of the meal. Tender crispy chicken, nestled between two fresh made adorable waffles. The sauces had a lot going on, a citrus, honey, glaze of sorts. And each slider was stabbed with a toothpick holding on a fresh jalapeño and orange slice. Very well done dish, especially for the price. You would be hard pressed to not find something for anyone on the apps menu. We asked for a kani salad, which our sever says "we don't have that". But after our apps went in, I noticed they do have a crab salad as a side, no biggie. I also opted to skip a sashimi order. Glancing at the tuna in the case on the way in, I didn't see that deep red hue of fresh tuna. And I saw a sushi chef bringing a few packages of what looked like restaurant service vacuum sealed tuna into the sink. But hey, unless the tuna is coming from the lake (and we're all glad it isn't), how fresh could it be? The sushi rolls were all very good. Standard fare specialty rolls, inventive enough with their own touch on things. The rolls were enormous. I would say a hungry four-top could split three rolls and some apps. The pace of the meal was good. They brought the food out as it was ready. Awkward as when food came out, some of our party had food, and some didn't. My manners tell me to wait, but the "bring out food whenever" model signaled to dig in. I might have appreciated all the rolls coming out together on a single platter, or that being offered. Beyond that, everything was really very good, no complaints and I would certainly return. We were here for lunch on a Tuesday at 12:30, the restaurant had a somewhat busy lunch crowd. It's on the end of Catawba, near the new Harris Teeter. They have a full menu till 2am which I'm sure is popular among those fish who come out late night.

    Are Reservations required?

Not required, and I'm not sure they take them. Usually a table or bar spot open, but best to call ahead and be sure. With the COVID restrictions they've had to take out a few tables.

Are they still doing the half off for ladies on Wednesday?

But, I was treated with kindness and respect from the moment I sat at the bar. I was made to feel like any of the regulars who trickled into the bar. I had a great conversation with the bar manager and bar staff -- as well as some of the best cocktails I've had in a while. In addition to having pours of hundreds of whiskeys, Bin 110 has an exceptional craft cocktail menu: I recommend the espresso martini which they can make as a classic, with bourbon, or their specialty salted caramel version. The salted caramel is great too. And the bananas foster old-fashioned was nice. I thought it'd be too sweet but it was perfect. You can enjoy live music, food, and more at Bin 110. It's a nice spot to grab drinks before an outing, a laid back date night, or to just shoot the sh*t after work, at great prices, too. I'll be back!

The space itself is inviting with really comfortable chairs around a pretty bar area. We haven't been there on the nights they have music but understand Friday night is more classic rock and louder vs Thurs/Sat. We each had two gin cocktails. The Clover Club and Bee's Knee's. Both were tasty to sip and pretty to look at. Appreciate very much the bartenders recommendation on the Club as she described it perfectly. The overall cocktail/spirits menu is fairly extensive and there were quite a few that sounded very good. We got a couple apps, the Nashville Hot Chicken flatbread and Grilled Cheese that came with tomato bisque as a dip. Both were decent but we agreed we'd come here more for the cocktails, wine, ambiance and service than for the food The owner came by and introduced himself after he saw I had posted a Yelp pic :) of the Clover Club. Really nice fellow and I would chalk him (Andy) up as one more reason to come. All in all, we're glad we visited and we look forward to having Bin 110 on our rotation.

Finally Seaboy was chosen for a girls night and I went open minded. - The grill oysters, 5/5: just amazing, with my favorite being the creole flavored. I could eat 10 as a snack. I've been dreaming about the oysters. - Fried fish Cheek, 5/5: tender, flaky, great crunchy breading and not heavy. - Tuna Crudo, 4/5: as someone who is usually not a fan of raw fish, the flavor on this one makes me bypass the raw texture. Great hint of spice and nice freshness with the oranges. - Lamb Ragu, 4/5: homemade pasta and tender lamb. - Croquettes, 5/5: just tasty - Scallop Toast, 2/5: hard to taste any scallops and felt very oily. - Octopus, 2/5: our plate had 3 nice sized pieces, was cooked nicely but not much flavor. - Banana Bread dessert, 5/5: great texture and just delicious - Key Lime dessert, 5/5: deconstructed and just fresh and different. The service is top notch, attentive and friendly. I've been here 2 times in a month and it is packed every day of the week. There was a slight mix up with our oyster order which we didn't care about because we were in a deep yap session but they ended up comping our least favorite item ordered because they said we were chill overall which surprised us because all we said was it wasn't our favorite. Here was our experience: Ambiance: Very cute old building in Cornelius. Charming set up. Good for a date night or a smaller dinner. 8.5/10 Service: Our server was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, perfectly attentive. 9/10 Drinks: I had a Jack 12 year for $24 (great price) and an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof for $18 (not bad). My wife had a cocktail which was great and lovely. Bartender was super friendly. 10/10 Appetizers: We ordered 4 oysters which were perfect, fresh and well accompanied by homemade crackers and sauces (10/10). Also, ordered the brussels sprouts which were solid but less spectacular than their description (8.5/10). Entree: This is the one area that was a disappointment. My wife and I shared the tuna with crispy potato salad. I was super adamant that we want the tuna seared/ as raw as possible. Neither my wife or I enjoy cooked tuna. We even joked with the server to just "threaten the tuna with flame" as opposed to cook it. When it came out, it was at least 50% cooked with a little bit of pink in the middle. My wife was super disappointed and this kinda ruined her experience. Maybe we should have sent it back but we ate it. 3/10 If the tuna was cooked correctly, I probably give it a 5 star because we really enjoyed it. But cooking the tuna wrong in a michelin star restaurant after how adamant we were is kind of a huge miss. Maybe we will give it another shot.
