Lol .. this place is in fact a hit and miss. Some days the food is really good. But lately the past few times I've ordered from them it's been pretty horrible. The corn taste like plastic. As of its old or something. The potatoes appear to be rotten and sometimes well the majority of the time the shrimps aren't deveined so essentially I'm eating "shit". The crabs didn't really have meat in them this time which is upsetting. They can't necessarily control how the crab legs are or they can't identify which legs are the "meatiest" but I'm just a disappointed customer at this point & ive been a customer for quite some time now. read more

I came here Saturday afternoon and will NEVER return!! My server was great (I can't remember if her name was Jess or Jenna but she was a tall blonde and was amazing) but the food was horrible and the managers/owners were so rude to their staff and to customers. I've worked in the food service industry for 6 years and understand there's frustrations, but it's never okay to belittle your staff in front of customers (or at all for that matter). Maybe take an emotional intelligence class and learn how to treat people before trying to run and business, and learn how to cook cause the food sucked. read more

Just Yikes! Food was sub par and took absolutely forever to come out and when it did nothing seemed fresh and hot. Our apps seemed like frozen items heated up and 2 of them were missing. I got the same drink 3 times and each time tasted completely different and seemed like it was just juice. To top it off the manager seemed completely unfazed about the whole situation when we talked to them. Nothing was offered to us and we felt like the manager did not care at all. We also heard the manager talking bad about all of their employees, calling them names like stupid, incompetent, and retarded (like come on dude we don't use that word anymore). I would be livid if my children (yes some of the servers seemed young) were talked about in that manner by a grown employer. I work very hard for my money, so every now and then I like to treat myself to something out of the normal to eat. So I ordered over $100 worth of seafood for me and my family. I ordered online, I went to pick it up, I didn't look at it until I got home and this is exactly what it looked like. I paid $30.99 for this! Look at this!! They didn't even give me a boiled egg so I called and I spoke with a lady on the phone and I asked don't you put boiled eggs in a seafood boil, mind you I bought four seafood boil bags. She said no they don't come with an egg you have to pay, I said I paid $31 for one bag. I brought four bags you don't think putting one egg in the bag is suffice? She got real nasty and hung up. Hands down THE best seafood place in the bucks county area. I have eaten here before and during COVID and the food is still soooo amazing. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I went there yesterday (Tuesday)evening at 6:45pm. The place was not packed at all (please look at video)Wait was 30 mins till we got seated. We didn't see our waiter for 20 minutes. We Didn't get our food for 50 minutes. In this time of waiting for our food NOT once did our waiter acknowledge us to let know what is the delay. What gets me really upset is that people that were seated after us got their food before me and my husband did. We have been coming to Crafty Crab since they opened. Tonight we experienced two customer service issues that were not handled well. The first issue was seating. We were seated at a small booth and we had 3 people. We asked to be moved to a larger booth. The Manager and the host we reluctant to move us even though there were several empty booths and made us wait 10 minutes to be reseated. The next issue was when our seafood boils were delivered, I asked for more butter and garlic sauce since I had 1/2 of what the other two at our table had. I spoke to the Manager, who spent 10 minutes explaining why I couldn't have more sauce, rather than just giving me more sauce. I believe it is her job to make her customers happy, rather than argue with them. That was two strikes. Our server, Hailey, was wonderful. We won't be back to this location. Since Joe's Crab Shack in Lawrenceville closed we have needed another seafood restaurant. Well Allelulia we sure have a great one now with Crafty Crab. We had the headless shrimp and snow crab legs. I had medium seasoning with the boom sauce and it was great....no need for cocktail sauce etc as its all full of flavor. I think a pound of the shrimp was filling enough. Next time we will try a pound of their scallops. The service was fast and courteous. The place is surprisingly large based on the entrance. Okay I went twice my second time coming I got the special where they dumb everything for 39.99 the sauce was cold also one huge concern for me was how the clams were all closed literally not one was open and the cray fish was also weird tasting I should have taken this as a sign to stop eating because I ended up sick for Two days also my soda twice for Sierra Mist taste like root beer I wanted to love this place so I don't have to go to soul fed Philly or the shake seafood given that they're further and this one is closer but after paying 53$ for just fries and dead clams with room temperature seafood i can't not to mention the crab was black on the leg However my server was the sweetest person ever she really made me not complain in person because I refused to get her in trouble the first time I went it was another server and she mixed up my husband order she gave him mild when he asked for hot and I asked for mild and ended up with hot also she mixed up the drinks again I don't like getting the servers in trouble . The fried baskets are very disappointing. I had the fried oysters and onion rings. The rings and oysters has the same breading and tasted like you could get them at Costco or Sams Club. I hate doing this but I feel like a warning is needed. When there was 10 people there at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night, we should have listened to our gut and turned around. We ordered drinks and raw oysters. The oysters were inedible. We tried one each and were afraid to take another bite. They were rubbery and were not fresh. We politely asked for our bill and not made an issue and the bartender didn't even mention that they weren't touched. Unfortunately I think it's because he knew they were inedible. I ordered the half pound shrimp and crab leg boil. It came with a small corn on the cob and two potatoes. I also ordered a garden salad. The boil was excellent, shrimp were cooked just right. The salad was a huge dissatisfaction for $6.99. There was nothing but iceberg lettuce, a few small tomatoes, cheese and cranberry. The waitress was good but she forgot to give me a knife or a way to get into the crab legs and I had to ask. That should come automatically when you order crab. read more

There were also mixed seafood platters and fried options that i am looking forward to trying my next trip here. I made reservations for a party of 12 for September 19 @ 2:30 on 9/18 for my fathers 77th birthday. I had guests traveling as far as sicklerville, cheltenham, cherry hill and willingboro. The man at the podium told me we had a party room reserved. When get there they had us set up at two tables with a max of 10. That meant two people would sit alone at one of the tables. Anthony and the other staff were quickly to accommodate us and had us gather up our belongings and move to the party room we were scheduled to have. Then an employee named Daphney ran over and explained that we could not have a party room because they were both booked for 4:00 and 5:00. At this time, it is now 3:15 and we would have to be out of the room before the next party and there will be a minimum of $600 bill to use the room. Long story short, Daphney kicked my party of 12 out the room with balloons, cake and all. Neither one of the rooms were set up for a party. Chairs were stacked up and tables were bare. No parties arrived in neither one of the rooms by the time we left the restaurant at 6:10 pm. Our waiter Anthony said he asked Daphney for a explanation but she mumbled and walked away. Daphney avoided our table the remainder of the stay with no explanation or apology. My first visit there in January for my mother's birthday was over $500, the bill this visit was over $400. Did Daphney not think I could afford the room or was she just having crabby day? Either way, we deserved an apology. We will not be returning. Daphney needs to find a new line of work, her attitude is the worse. read more

I got a pickup/takeout order of the fried catfish. It was waiting at front counter and I was worried it would have cooled down or been soggy. It wasn't. It hot, fresh and crispy. The catfish was flavorful and flaky. It was a healthy serving. It was like 4-6 pieces of fish. I don't remember exactly how many. I just know I couldn't finish it all. I took leftovers home and my sis quickly finished it off. It came with a sauce, it looked like a mayonnaise base with Old Bay seasoning, which paired well with the catfish. There were several options for sides with the platter. I ordered sweet potato fries with mine. They weren't as crispy, but they were also hot and tasty. Decent seafood spot with ok portion sizes. Wish they would get their liquor license already but I can't complain too much about that since it is BYOB. We always get the large order of everything with no crawfish, extra shrimp (since their crawfish aren't our favorite...however it kind of felt like they skimped on the extra shrimp.) The seasoning are great; we like it a little spicy. It's nice that they have a sink in the common area so one doesn't have to travel far to clean up. We had to ask for scissors on several occasions and a few pairs came to us broken and unusable. Service is quick and plenty of parking. The wait can be long but they have a convenient system to text you when the table is ready. It's a good place to come with a large group if you want the experience. Definitely better places to get seafood but if you don't want to make the drive, check it out. read more
