Looks like a revised version of a wanna be restaurant but with Applebee's appearance maybe because it used to be an Applebee's?! The staff is amazing although with owners who don't know how to control the staff I give it less then a year till they are closed. I gave it 2 stars basically because although the food was good and the staff tries they have no structure. The owners allows the staff to run all over them and they do nothing? WOW!! Manager Miriam was very rude. We asked to be moved to a different table shortly after being seated and before our drinks came out. Guy who sat us said it was fine then his manager told him they were too busy to move us. I had my grandson and daughters with me and the table behind us was being loud, using profanity and speaking of sexually explicit things. If a patron asked to be moved because of the experience, move them. Instead she lied as if we hadn't shown the young man another table to move us to. Needless to say we will not be returning. WORST CRAB EVER! If I could give this place zero stars I would. Ordered a pound of Dungeness crab and half a pound of shrimp. Now I've had lots of crab in my day, as has my wife, and this was by far the absolute worst either of us has ever had. I've had over cooked crab before and I could still eat it all and slightly enjoy it. This was so over cooked that it left that burnt taste in your mouth that lingers for hours after the meal. We told our waitress that the food was inedible and we just wanted to leave. She came back with a full check. Uh no. So I go get the manager, this dude goes and actually checks how much we ate, like 1 half of 1 crab. He cut the price in half, still. WTH. I paid but will never be going back. So first I only went here because Mr. Seafood was closed. And I should have just waited. My original order was a 1/2 of crab legs and 1/2 crawfish along with 1 pound of blue crab. Visiting From New York .. I was introduced to this quaint restaurant by my kin folk. They have a nice selection of a well seasoned boil which consisted of snow crab legs gulf shrimp corn on the Cobb and sausage. I must say the presentation was delightful as well as the seasoning. I have not physically gone to the restaurant however I made an order through Uber eats. I will say it was an enjoyable meal. My only complaint would be that I ordered the king crab legs and it indicated I would receive 2-3 claws, however, I received none in my order. Overall the food was delicious and had good flavor. So this was my first time coming I went on a Monday night around 8:45 it wasn't too packed but it still had a good crowd. I ended up getting the muscles and clams with the bloom flavor and I have to say it was extremely satisfying. I love seafood but I fell in love all over again I definitely would recommend this place to go if you're close by Columbia mall or either just wanting to drive anywhere. They give Cajun a bad name and definitely would turn off anyone who is willing to try seafood if it were to be their first time. Atmosphere is ghetto AF with hardly any customers. Fake smiles and fake fresh seafood. Trust the reviews and let DHEC look into this place. I can't see anybody liking this food only to try to help their friend who works there or these people have no idea how Cajun food should look and taste. Crab cakes were also a joke. I visited on 4/23/22 my Waitress was Deaundrea she took our order brought our drinks and dropped our food off and didn't come back to the table to ask if we needed anything walked past our table more than once with out even looking or acknowledging the table but went to every table around us then I had to ask a buster to get my ticket because she wasn't paying absolutely any attention to us being finished she doesn't need to be a server if she can't take more that two tables and be attentive to her guests and that's coming from a server.. I patronized this resteraunt on January 1,2019 with family and friends from out of town. There weren't many people in the resteraunt but the service was slow and unsatisfactory. It took a while to receive refills on drinks and 3 of the orders were wrong. The manager attempted to rectify the bad service by offering a 10% discount. When the corrected orders came out, he snatched one of them out of the servers hand so she wouldn't place it on the table (because I no longer wanted my food). We all asked for our checks and left (without eating). This is a summarized version of what I experienced. I am a big supporter of local businesses and we still ensured the server received a tip. Don't spend your money at Crafty Crab-O'Neil ct Columbia sc. (this happened to me jasmine and my family) I was in the restaurant with my family and children and our food was over cooked. We sent them back with our waiter and when they returned they did not have all of the crab legs and food we paid for; we spoke to the manager. The manager Zheng Li, came over ; he said we did not send that much backh he took inventory and can show us. We said we did send it all back and we did not receive what we paid extra for; me and my sister said it's fine but my cousin said she want her cluster that she paid 13.00$ for or she wasn't paying they can have all of it back because that is not right. He said ok and walked off like he was going to fix it . When he returned he had the police. The officer was very annoyed with the manager and said they are there 1-3 time a week for them doing that. I had my children with me who were at this point recording and crying. The look in my 9 year old and 6 year old daughter face PISSED ME OFF. With the BLM movement and everything going on in the world my children we scared. I am disgusted and this is outrageous. He had all of us put on No Trespassing although he instructed that he only called for one person; the officer said he do that so many times a week and we don't have to sign it. However it is going in our record and my children want to know why. This is a formality but if he do this 1-3 times a week and the police told us to file a civil suit; i am not being quiet and we have video of the incident. I got "The Boom" snow crab legs and headless shrimp. It was pretty inexpensive compared to the other places like it in Columbia (and I've been to all). You can't beat the price at about $21+tax, and the people there are really nice as far as customer service goes. No liquor license yet but I guess it's coming soon, and the interior is well done and very clean. The one negative is that there is no online menu, but the taste of the sauce is absolutely wonderful, and I'm glad I tried it. The boom (sauce) is made up of mixing all three or four flavors together, and so far out of all the crab places, this is the better of them. read more
