Bummer, this place is the closest one to us. Our last visit was pretty disappointing. Since it was Memorial Day, a day to honor fallen soldiers, we were surprised there was no commemoration for our service members. We hoped for a table set in remembrance, but instead, there was just a display for graduates. It's disappointing because our family has military men who have served, and I even have a son serving our country now. While we're super proud of all our graduating students, we believe their privileges are a direct result of our soldiers' sacrifices. About our meal, my beef tips and mashed potatoes were served really cold and looked undercooked. I missed where the baked potato costed more if fully loaded, yet it was not bad. The manager that is supposed to stop at tables never came by after we were there for 49 minutes. Recently I have visited this Texas Roadhouse twice for different reasons. I notice that now peanuts are in sealed bags at the entrance. I think the idea is to take them home to eat rather than at your table because I didn't see any hulls on the floor. This is a busy restaurant and it's not uncommon to wait 10 minutes for a table. I tried the roadkill chopped steak for $12.49 and chose a salad for one side dish and a loaded baked potato for the other but with an extra cost of $1.29. The salad was very good with chopped eggs in it. The tater was good and worth the cost. The meat was cooked medium and a little dry with some gooey cheese, mushrooms and onions on top. Table service was good. I gave this meal a 3.5. The next visit was for the 12 oz. ribeye for $23. I went with the same salad but opted for a cup of chili. Both salad and chili were very good tasting with the chili having some cheese on top. The steak wasn't as tender as I would have liked. I gave this meal a 3. I give an overall score of 3 and would consider returning. The side dishes were very good but the meats could have been better. I would probably order the chopped steak again. I want to personally thank Tyler for fixing my bad experience. I waited 20+ minutes for my "Med-Rare" Porterhouse and it was very RAW. I asked for it to be corrected a 2nd time and the "COOK" told ny server if they cook it any more it would be overdone??? Are you serious. That steak was not even juicy it was cold and dead. Grey color on the outside. Barely any grill marks , as if it was on the grill for 3 minutes each side and slapped on the plate. I dont know if i want to take the chance and return here ever again. Again , Tyler took care of me and he heard me out with my concerns stated above. He told me he would tell the cooks to do better and i mentioned they need to learn how to COOK a steak properly. For christ sake. My server told me this happens OFTEN!!!! Towards the end of the night. So there seems to be a pattern of laziness and half a** going on in the kitchen and it is affecting me and every other guest that has endured the same situation. I hope this location turns the tables around and makes some changes and/or holds some sort of meeting with the kitchen about proper and SAFE food preparation. Good luck finding a decent table to fit 9 people: you basically had to squeeze in next to each other. Salad and side dishes were okay, nothing different compared to other franchise. Service is really bad. Our waitress Liz - instead of directing guests where the menu located, when asked, she pointed toward the back silent. When we asked the second time, she spoke back and asked if this is our first time. She was rude, impatience, and unable to convey what's special in the menu. She just wanted to take order and get over with. The host who took us to the table was nice but the waitress was horrible. Customer service was pretty bad, we are not so sure we should try this location again. We dined on last Wednesday, sat at the right corner of the restaurant, between 9 ish to 10 ish. I tried calling several times before going to the restaurant... in the morning and evening. No one would pick up. It sends you on a loop of a recording that literally drives you crazy. Then when I finally got there. I noticed that they didn't give me the butter I requested for my to-go order. Again, I called and no one answered. Hubs BD and Father's Day Gift Cards..I am his date. He loves this place and is easy to please. His steak tenderizer is good for him, so salty, but he is so happy with over cooked steak. We were worried because of the size of our group that getting in would be hard - we waited for about 45 minutes for a table which was alright. We were willing to wait. We were excited to eat. After we were seated, the servers were nice. The food took a while to come out but it's understandable that they wanted all our food to be ready at once but some of our plates were cold. I got the 8oz NY strip cooked medium rare - the most delicious part of the meal! The steak was very tender and juicy, loved it. The macaroni and cheese which was 99 cents extra tasted like soupy kraft - it was terrible. I had thought after all the years, roadhouse was finally making their own mac and cheese and unfortunately, I was wrong. That was the worst thing I ate there. I ordered a combo appetizer to go and the portion looked like a joke, the food wasn't even enough to fill the to-go box. It was like half of the box which was not worth $14. The server did mess up some of our orders and again, I want to give him some grace and props because we were such a large group. He was very nice, some of our things were missing or forgotten so I can't give the place more than 3 stars. Would I come back to this location? Maybe on a less busy night or time. read more

Our car was broken into in the restaurant's parking lot, and staff and managements behavior indicated this is a known and ongoing problem. Despite this awareness, the parking area remains unsecured. Service was friendly and we saw the manager (I think) walking around and interacting with tables to make sure everyone was having a good time. We got there around 5:30 pm on a Sunday and got a table immediately but by the time we left around 7 there was a wait. We were seated by a booth in the bar area and we loved sitting there! Almost fork tender. Their chicken critters are tasty. The sides are generous and served at perfect temperature. Now, after nearly 10 years, only once have we had to send back a plate. Brought my husband unsweet tea instead of sweet tea a few times and had to wait for him to come check on us to let him know the drink was wrong. Ordered a medium well sirloin and it was undercooked. Asked to send it back, the cook charred half of it and the other half didn't look touched at all. Still super pink. Not sure if the cooks aren't trained to what each level of steak is but it seems to be a common mistake at this location. Roadhouse Steakhouse Our second visit to the Cypress location at 290/Hwy 6, was really nice. We went on a Friday night so it was bustling. We got on the waitlist online. Upon arrival, we checked in and within minutes we were seated in a booth for two, eating fresh from the oven rolls with sweet butter! Jeremey took care of us like a pro. He got our tater skins started while we looked for the rest. When they came out, Jose, a manager, came by and checked on us. Jeremey then came by to make sure the ranch I asked for was out, and it was. When we were ready to order, the Boy had his favorite, chicken fried chicken, country gravy and fries. I got the beef tips with savory brown gravy, over a bed of mashed potatoes. Side of green beans made with onion and bacon. Small ranch salad. All delicious as usual! I went to Texas Roadhouse and ordered to go. It was a long wait but I didn't mind. I received my food around 10:35 and checked it. After checking it I noticed that the steak had a couple of mushrooms and I am allergic to them, and the steak also had an odd smell to it. I tried to go back in the establishment around 10:40 but the doors were locked already. I took the food home and attempted to eat the baked potato instead. When I cut the potato open it was completely rotten.
