We started off with drinks I got a lychee drink but I don't remember the exact name, nonetheless it was so refreshing and delicious. For appetizers we went with a dozen oysters which were bomb dot com and for our main course we went with a puns of shrimp and a pound of snow crab with "the bomb" sauce which is all 3 sauces combined. 100 out of 10!!! If I could leave less than one star I most certainly would! I went yesterday and when I was greeted I was told it was Margarita Monday and they were half off. We were a group of 4 and decided to ask each for one, we asked for the large boil and were told if King crab was added it had half the cost. The food itself was good, we also asked for another large boil as the flavor was good and another round of margaritas, when we receive the bill there was NO discounts and everything was regular price. When we questioned waitress, she first said she was new and didnt know prices, when we asked for a manager she said he was gone, we paid but did express we were unhappy and she tried offering more margaritas so she would not have to refund the additional cost she charged! We said no, I honestly did not want to make a show and told her to try calling her manager, she took a while and said all she can offer me was a giftcard and no money back for the drinks she charged incorrectly and regarding the king crab she sustained she applied discount, mind you I even check on the site to order to go and noticed the much significant difference on the cost she charged us! I am sorry I went to this location, not sure if the waitress charged me a higher cost to later keep the money or what her reasoning was but I find it unnaceptable that a manager was not present to make the corrections and the night costed me almost $500! So, fittingly, Crafty Crab took over the space where Red Lobster was for the longest time. I like the way they remodeled, with a discernible nautical decor, and a LOT of TV's. They had a well-stocked bar, although for lunch we just had ale, a Blue Moon and a Goose Island. For an app, I had the crab fries. Our server was very candid about this item; I thought by the name that these were actual, like, fried crab fingers. She explained that they're actually regular fries with crab meat topping. So, they're good to begin with, but when the crabmeat runs out, so does the magic (sigh). My wife had crab cakes as an app; they're just ok, kinda look/taste like frozen manufactured. My entree was the steamed scallops...they are a nice size and you get a dozen with your choice of seasoning...I got the "Boom" seasoning and it had a nice zing to it. My wife had the lobster tail, which was a bit smallish, but good. Corn on the cob was good quality, with the cajun butter as a nice touch. Crafty was ok, kinda chain restaurant feel, but also like a unique business. A shout out goes out to the on-duty manager; I didn't get her name, but she was jovial, friendly, and attentive beyond words, checking all customer tables several times to make sure all was well. I have been a really loyal customer for years now, and it always comes down to one big negative point, which is that the seafood they use is of poor quality, from tiny shrimps to beardy mussels, but today was the icing on the cake--an actual parasite in the shrimp. This place just opened up a week ago. It's right next to my house and I was in the mood for some Seafood Gumbo and some crab legs. I sat at the bar and was greeted by the nicest bartender that can make a great margarita. I don't know if they don't have any bowls or plates bc they just opened but my Gumbo was served in a takeout bowl or should I say cup (pic) . 3 stars are more than generous. On the upside, the place was clean and appropriately adorned with seafood decor and ambiance with the exception of hip hop music playing instead of Cajun blues. The beer selection is fair and the 5 assorted bottle bucket is moderately priced at $24 but the wings were priced above average @ nearly $16 for 10 wings. That 's about all I could cheer about. Just because you offer fried spicy food doesn't make you a Cajun restaurant. Maybe if I looked at the online menu, I probably wouldn't have been so disappointed with my dinner or the paltry selection of authentic Cajun table fare. Our pleasant waitress wasn't really versed or knowledgeable of the items offered on the menu and would not provide, upon request, a tablespoon size sample of the coleslaw for my wife to sample without charging us for it. My wife was happy with her fried catfish basket ... a plus of the whole evening. Puzzling, the "happy hour" was only available to patrons sitting at the bar. (there were none). The menu selection is at best scant. As an appetizer I ordered their raw oysters. They are fresh-water farmed oysters that had little to no flavor or texture. The whole oyster was stuck to the shell instead of just at the foot. For dinner I ordered the 1 lb steamer bag of crawdads. I honestly believe that they included to two petite red potatoes and the corn on the cob in the 1 lb. total weight. I ordered them with the hottest spice level available. I've gotten more heat from a salt free Lays potato chip. The bugs came out and were served at a chilled room temperature. I prefer my crawdads steaming/piping hot. Since they were cooked from frozen, there was little to no chance of getting authentic steeped in flavor. I asked about jambalaya that I didn't see on the menu but something I feel is a must for a Cajun restaurant and was told they only have gumbo with rice. I could go on but this pretty much covers my disdain. Will I go back? Only if I plan to buy the place and make it a truly authentic Cajun Restaurant. There is ample parking and take reservations for 10 or more patrons. Lastly, they charge an 8% sales tax on food and an additional 1% tax on alcohol. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have never been huge on seafood but I am addicted to the snow crab and headless shrimp boils here. I go at least once a week. Love the mild cajun. I would probably eat here every day but have to pace myself. Only issue is that once they bring your boil, you never see a server again. Have to track them down to pay, lol. I do not mind too much because it can get messy eating boils and privacy is nice. I do on accasion need a refill on my drink and then that is a bummer. Also, they bring you a paper plate and plastic fork and a cracker to eat with. I actually bring my own upgraded gloves, crab fork and crab cutter. Come to find out in my many visits that they actually do have the crab forks and shears but depending on the server, you may or may not have them brought out to you.
