I've been here 3 separate occasions and every time the food came out just right! Everything was warm and fresh. The mussels, snow crab and clams were amazing. I definitely recommend the boom medium sauce. The place is pricey, but that is expected of a seafood restaurant especially for the experience. On that note the restaurant is clean and the ambiance is nice since they have completed the full opening. A lot of the negative reviews I have read stemmed from the place not being fully open, but my recent experiences have proved that otherwise. me and my friends go here once a month, so on 3/4/2023 I ordered a small seafood bag as usual so I was charged a different price, so the server call the manager I asked the manager to look at the camera he argued and called the police this was so humiliating I'm always here and to be treated like this my mom is a veteran to think she served a country like this is sad the officers were nice they told me since he was being nasty about looking at the tape dispute it with the bank to be humiliated I will never return. read more

This is an awful place to eat. The Fried shrimp was mostly breading and it had no taste. Grocery store frozen fried shrimp tastes better. The Mpt Enough seafood platter was tasteless also even though my husband ordered the most spicy option. He said Chinese buffets have better seafood. The service was sub-par also. I told our waiter how dissatisfied we were with our meals. He never offered to get a manager even after I told him I sent a poor review to the Corporate Office. Service was TERRIBLE! Our waitress was as very unprofessional. She pretty much abandon our table. I felt like we were at Sonics because when she delivered our food to the table she never stop and she drop the food at the table and kept rolling! We take with to managers about our concerns and NOTHING came if it. Our food was delivered so out of order. We wanted to enjoy our food together not one dish at a time. My advice is spend your money where it's appreciated! Management offered no resolution at all. It appears the supervisor was only concerned money. I have had the fried shrimp basket twice recently and it was delicious. The crispy, flavorful breading has a tendency to come off eating these by hand, so I cut them in half and ate them with a fork the second time. I ordered potatoes as a side both times, which was two whole red potatoes in a long plastic bag. They come in a sauce and I had to fish them out of the bag with a fork. I preferred the Cajun sauce over the buttery garlic. Didn't care for the hush puppies due to the distinctly sweet taste. I thought the Saturday price was too high for this dish (around $11). Seems like the weekday price was at least $2.00 less. read more

I ordered 1/2 pound of shrimp and 5 of my shrimp weren't de-vined. My waitress asked me did I want more shrimp and I declined as I had lost my appetite. So because I didn't want more poop shrimp I was charged full price. I asked to take half off the shrimp and the manager German said he could only give 10% off when I was able to eat half the shrimp I ordered. Then he asked me was the shrimp in the trash bucket. I advised him yes. I had left them on the table for the waitress to look at them and she declined. I will be contacting the owner and board of health for them serving poop in a bag. Upset. I had originally called to place an order for a 1lb of King Crab and a half pound of shrimp and a second order of 1lb of King Crab and Half pound of crawfish seafood boils. I was first told that each bag was supposed to have 6 potatoes and two corns. I had walked in to pick up when I was told the same thing. Very disappointed when I got home and noticed that each bag only had 4 potatoes and 1 corn each. I called the store back, and was told by the manager that it was a mistake by a new employee (which is fine I understand mistakes happen). But it wasn't enough to feed my friends and I, and was told by the manager if I wanted some more, I would have to order and pay for it for their mistake. I wouldn't want to drive all the way over for it anyways. Disappointed, I would have paid for extra no problem, but they couldn't even accommodate me or anything. Having to share corn was not fun. My bf & I went to the Crafty Crab for dinner, he ordered a lobster & crab boil with extra eggs and sausage, I ordered shrimp boil with extra corn & eggs. Our food comes out & he's wondering where are his eggs are.. he ask another waitress if she can grab our waitress, 15 minutes later she comes from the back (by now he's halfway through his meal) & we ask..she goes thru her notepad and states he never requested eggs and we say ok & continue our meals. Not once did she pass by for refills or to check up on us but we're finished and ready to pay & leave. After waiting another 20 minutes we decide to ask the other waitress for our waitress once again, as we wait I noticed the busy waitress helping the table next to us she bags up their leftovers & goes to grab extra sauces for them to take home. Finally our waitress comes from the back smelling like a black n mild, I ask for a to go bag & the tab.. she returns with a container that's definitely not meant for boils and the $140 check, she places it on the table and walks away. Guess who was charged an extra order of eggs but didn't get them? I call her over & asked her to remove it cause he clearly didn't get them & instead she comes back with the same check but with 2 eggs in a bag lol how much should I tip? First and last time going to this place. Went for lunch around 2 pm. Plenty of open tables but still had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. There was no drink menu (won't have liquor license until November) and the waiter who took our order didn't tell us what kind of beverages were available. Menu is very limited. If you don't want a large "boil" you are left with small baskets of fried food or a few salad choices. My wife and mother in law got the shrimp salad which came with fried shrimp, craisins, tomato, very little cheese and lots of lettuce. We were told it was supposed to come with olives and croutons but came with neither. My shrimp basket came with 6 fried shrimp, which were heavily breaded, and I chose onion rings as my side. My shrimp and rings were tepid and grease soaked. We also ordered a side of hush puppies which were also greasy. Captain D's puts out a better product. It took at least 10 minutes to get our meal when it should have taken about 3 for the quality we got. In the entire hour we were there not once did we see an employee smile. They all seemed to be robotic, no personality whatsoever. I know they are new but if the quality of the food and staff don't change I can't see this place staying open for long. read more

Visited the Crafty Crab during a recent trip to Tally. Still in its early stages of operation so have to give it a break. That being said, took quite a while for service (probably around 15 min until the serve took drink orders), but she did explain that it was one of her first nights and she was totally sweet so no biggie. Ordered the gumbo for appetizer and 1/2 snow crab & 1/2 headless shrimp boil, medium (which is listed as spicy). Gumbo was a bit bland to be honest, not bad or not especially good...just meh. Boil was good (Cajun crab style) and amount of seafood was pretty generous. First time that I have had a boil without sausage, which was noticeably absent, but all-in-all, the boil was good. I'd recommend moving up to the next level if you like spicy food, the medium wasn't spicy enough. Finished off with key lime pie, which was pretty good. The restaurant should have drink menus, especially considering the wait that we had to order drinks...waitress wasn't too familiar with beer offerings and I just went with Yuengling even though I would have preferred to know the local offerings. Would visit again, I anticipate that they will work out any kinks. read more

Went the first weekend open. Ordered the shrimp basket. It came with one side. Basket price was $13.95. Took the waitress a long time to get to us. After waiting on my food for about 20 min. I finally got waitress attention and inquired about food. She said she would check. Passed by about 8-10 minutes later. No food. Asked her again was my food up. She finally came back about 5 minutes later with it. My shrimp were room temp. I figured she didn't check and they just got cold sitting in window waiting for her to pick them up. Cold seafood isn't good. Onion rings were under the shrimp. Greasy, soggy and cold. I don't send food back! I did tell her I wasn't happy with food once she passed back by table about 10 min. later. She told manager who offered to make me more. I was almost finished eating at this time. Extra sides were $4/5 dollars. All that to say poor food and service. Maybe they've worked the kinks out now! I'll continue to go to Fisherman's Wife and Wharf for casual seafood! Fisherman's Wife service is great, food is very good-3 sides (cheese grits, fries and cole slaw with basket + hush puppies). Price is about $2 less for fresh, hot, large gulf shrimp. The Wharf about the same price as Craft Crab but food and service so much better. I don't do seafood boils! Just let Publix steam my crab legs for a whole lot less! Lady across from us sent her boil back! Again. May have just been opening kinks! read more
