I ordered doordash. This location is in downtown phx and im in South Scottsdale. So it was worth me paying a generous tip for delivery. When it came the soup was warm and pasta was not anymore but im not blaming the store it took quite a while to get it. The clam chowder is the best ive ever had came with a dinner roll. The pasta was ok but I did not heat up took a bite room temp. Came with a salad and roll. Loved the chicken salad wish I did not get the foccossia bread it had to much rosemary for me. But the chicken salad and chips were wonderful. I feel the prices were on the lower side and id buy it all again. They packed it well. read more

So I think the best kept secret in town are all these little restaurants that are inside business buildings. There's quite a few of them that are actually very good. They're really meant to service the people that work at the buildings but of course they're open to everybody. This would be one example of a place like that. This week I dropped off a Christmas Angel's gift at child services inside the building and decided to get lunch here. They have an extensive menu for breakfast that was being switched over as I stood at the counter, which is okay by me I'm not much of a breakfast person. However, man, they seem to have a lot of choices for breakfast if that's your thing. They switched over to the lunch menu. I got a Thanksgiving themed sandwich since it was the day after Thanksgiving. Haha a turkey and cranberries and also ordered potato salad and a soda. The potato salad actually has eggs in it I don't normally like it that way but it was quite delicious. This was a great meal and it's a great place. I can't say enough about how wonderful the staff is here. Parking can be a little tricky but they do have some spots right outside the restaurant and a parking garage across the way if you can't find a spot. What a find!!! I had some business to conduct upstairs in the office building, but I was starving, can't conduct on an empty stomach. I entered thru the lobby and was immediately greeted with a "Hello welcome come on in" almost felt like a greeting a best friend would give you. I looked around as I was kind of stunned something with a menu like this place has was located in an office building. It's cute and quaint inside without being pretentious. The person who welcomed me in introduced himself as Gino and proceeded to help me figure out lunch. Today their special was baked stuffed shells, if I wasn't wearing a white dress shirt, I would have jumped on it right away! But I am a slob so no tomato sauce today. Instead I opted for a bowl of their New England clam chowder, and arguably the best damn chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. Perfectly toasted thick 9 grain wheat bread with a generous helping of their "Vermont" style chicken salad with a little Dijon and red onion. (Sounds strange but you will understand after the first bite!!) it was also served with my choice of either fries or home made potato chips, I couldn't make up my mind so Gino gave me a little bit of both. My fat kid move for the day was dipping the home made potato chips into the chowder damn it was good, they put some scallions on top of the soup which I've never had before on clam Chowder but it was an excellent addition. Also props to the cooks for making the chicken salad not soaked in mayo and nice and shredded not the chunky stuff that falls outta the bread. (Small detail that makes a big difference, yes I crazy enough to notice) I will definitely be back here to try some other menu items next time my travels take me to downtown phoenix. The owner gave my order to the wrong person, and then refused to remake my order. I can understand that restaurants get busy, and that maybe dealing with delivery services can get confusing. This cafe is not really a sit-down place. Located on the ground floor of a corporate tower, Cranberry Hills is more of a grab-and-go eatery for office workers. All of their pastries and desserts are plastic wrapped. Although they offer an extensive list of omelettes, the cheese used in the omelettes is sliced American cheese. I can have it with or without cranberry sauce spread on the bread, I guess if you're going to call yourself "Cranberry Hills" you're going to put cranberry on something! No cranberry for me, it doesn't need anything else! This chicken salad is made with shredded chicken breast, fresh basil, roughly chopped tomato probably things I can't see like onion and Mayo of course. It's served on a seasoned focaccia bread, (unless you want another kind of bread), with Swiss cheese, tomato slices and lettuce! It's seasoned just right and yes, I do love it! read more

Torn between 4 and 5 stars...Was in the building for training and this seemed like the easiest and most convenient option. Day 1, tried the Orchard chicken salad sandwich w/steak fries. Wow, yum! A cranberry spread on sourdough bread, along with veggies and the chicken salad (which included apples and walnuts). The fries were hot, crispy, and seasoned well. Day 2, debated between having the same chicken salad or trying the Vermont chicken salad sandwich. Super glad I tried both! This is now what I will aspire to have my chicekn salad taste like. This version came on foccacia bread that was soft and delicious--full of flavor and held up with everything on it. Paired with the cranberry spread, a slice of swiss, veggies, and the chicken salad (with tomato and basil in it). Epic flavor combo! Went with the potato salad, which was fine, but the focus was definitely the sandwich. Portions were big and filling. There were several other things on the menu that sounded tasty and there seem to be daily specials posted when you walk in. Staff were also nice and service was quick. Lots of indoor seating and numerous outdoor tables, but only a few had chairs?! The minor bummers: prices from the online menu seem to be outdated. A sandwich w/side is a couple cents shy of $11, as they also charge you to use a credit card. I'd likely spend a chunk of change here if I worked in the building. read more

I stopped in yesterday morning for a fruit cup. The cashier was SLOW, not friendly and not helpful. Oh did I say slow? He seemingly was lacking in wanting a customer. I was on my way to the light rail and he was taking his time (he is at work I guess) and seemingly was hesitant and wanted to say something to me when I asked if I could get the other cup--- it had more grapes. Considering it's not much more than a lunch room for the surrounding offices, it's really not bad. Most of the sandwiches I've had there have been ok experiences. The service is quick. I've noticed that they sometimes will spoil an otherwise really good dining experience by doing something like leaving pits in certain olives that appeared to be without pits. Or some of the cole slaw will be wilted. Or the shell in the clam chowder mentioned earlier. I don't consider these events fatal flaws, but y'know . . . come on. . . . a little more effort. I don't like how the line is laid-out. The path from ordering and paying to picking up your food and drink is convoluted and annoying. They could improve their flow and ergonomics and make take away some of the anxiety I feel before going there--and thus I might go there more frequently. read more

Hidden in an office building with barely any nearby parking, this eatery is easy to miss. Their 3003 N Central Ave. # 118 Phoenix address can be very misleading. There isn't any signage or entrance on N. Central Ave. Instead, it's all on the side street, Catalina Dr. Cranberry Hills offers breakfast and lunch for dine-in, to-go pickup or delivery and catering. For breakfast, they offer a selection of omelets, egg sandwiches, baked goods and fruit. Their lunch menu consists of standard items such as cold sandwiches, salads, pasta, pizza, soups and bakery items. Everything on the menu is extremely reasonably priced. You can walk out the door with a huuuuge salad for less than $7. They also offer their salads in half sizes as well. The food is all around average. The ingredients could be a little fresher at times, and I'm not too keen on the amount of iceberg lettuce that gets thrown into their salads. However they don't skimp on the toppings. Those extras get piled on top. This place is also CROWDED at lunch time. Everyone in that office park seems to eat there daily, and the parking is awful. My favorite on the menu is #48 - the Orchard salad with a standard bed of greens, chicken strips, oranges, apples, jicama, dried cranberries and walnuts, served with country French dressing (that I usually switch out for their Roasted Red Pepper Fat Free dressing, just so save those extra calories). I've also used this place for catering before and for the price it's very economical and fast. They will drop off your order and set up a really awesome and professional salad bar complete with all the fixings - salad mix, nuts, cheeses, an assortment of dressings, turkey, ham, chicken, fruit, tortilla strips, etc. I've also used Cranberry Hills Catering for those last moment "oh no I forgot to order lunch and the meeting is in 4 hours from now" situations. They've saved the day for me countless times! I wouldn't go out of my way to get their food for just an individual order. I mainly recommend this place for catering in addition to those last minute office lunch emergencies. They are fast and convenient if you work in the Mid-town Phoenix area. I have been going to Cranberries for 14.5 years and well EVERYONE there knows my name! Peter, Geri, Josephine and Stuart have an amazing staff and the food is so delicious!! I pretty much get the same thing for breakfast every time I visit them and their lunch specials (and menu) are just as delicious as the breakfast menu! I have NEVER ever had a bad meal and everyone I've taken to Cranberries with me keeps going back. I like going to a place where the owners get to know you and they do exactly that! After reading other reviews that weren't very good, realized that most of them are really old reviews and this place is definitely worth a look! A few folks ordered breakfast from here this morning and I missed out on the order since I don't arrive to the office until later. The smell of all the delicious food made me curious. I asked around and everyone RAVED about how wonderful the breakfast was and so reasonably priced. I had to try for myself. Got another gal in the office to order as well and too bad breakfast was done being served for the day by that time. So we ordered lunch instead. I got the half sandwich and soup. Vermont chicken and side of chili. Let me just say that the chili is TO DIE FOR! I ate it first and then dove into the sandwich. Sandwich was AMAZING as well! The only thing I would have done differently is order a different type of bread. I got the 12 grain and it was a little messy trying to eat since the bread squished down on top. I'd either ask them to toast the bread or get it on a roll instead. Either way, the chicken salad is HEAVENLY! She got the clam chowder in a bread bowl and said it was very very good also. Very convenient location for those in and around the building but the food just wasn't good. I tried it twice. The first thing I ordered was a "steak sandwich". Per the menu there was a choice of styles that included "Worcestershire, Philly, or French Dip" and it was served with fries... The steak wasn't prime rib or any other well known cut for that style. Honestly, I can identify what it was. It appeared to be some processed steak product, that hadn't been seared, browned, and looked like they microwaved it. It was so lukewarm it didn't melt the cheese and there were three slivers of bell pepper stuck to the cheese. They appeared to at some point been caramelized, but removed from the fire before they were tender. There was nothing on the bread... just meat, a slice of unmelted cheese, and partially caramelized bell pepper slivers... Oh, and the accompanying french fries... Cold steak fries... I thought... maybe they're had a bad day... Next day I order a cheese quesadilla. I'm not sure if the oven isn't working or what. Barely melted cheese in a toasted tortilla, lukewarm, and I didn't even get the fries this time even though I paid for them. Instead of calling me when the order came in and offering an replacement that I didn't want... Coleslaw... Coleslaw and an quesadilla, seriously? I passed and he said "next time". Sorry... I'm good. I can do better with two dollars and the questionable food in the break room vending machine... At least the microwave can get the hot part right. read more

So I made my Fav stop Friday, December 15th morning just after 7 am and I was greeted by the most rudest young woman at the register , who frankly did not know what she was doing and she was just full of attitude . She had a Orange logo Cranberry Hills shirt on , Latina and again just rude to me. She had to keep calling over another worker for help. She got me so upset I told her " I need a moment " and I slowly walked away from her , what bothered me was I could hear both these young women talking about me behind my back. A very good place to have lunch with a friend or some co-workers. Our office eats here often, and let me tell you how commendable it is to be able to get orders right when you have 9 or more people ordering at a time! They have a fairly good selection, and they're flexible with alterations to your order. The daily soups and specials are also always changing, and are great for adding variety. I've met the owner several times, and he's a very nice and friendly guy. You can tell when someone is being nice just because you're a customer, and when they're just a good person who happens to run a restaurant, and he's definitely the latter! read more

I have been here a few times over the last couple months since it is close to where i work. I have ordered a sourdough BLT probably 4 times and the always end up giving me white. I kept going back mostly because they had pretty good fries. The last time i went i double checked my receipt since they always get the bread wrong. I noticed it said white so i mentioned it to one of the woman making the food, she seemed to not understand but the owner (the man who took my order) asked me and i told him i wanted sourdough not white and he told the lady and she seemed to understand however when i got my order it was still white bread.
