Medical records from Cranial Technologies cite that when our granddaughter was first evaluated on May 30, 2024 indicated that she fell under the moderate (Cranial Vault Asymmetry) to severe(Cranial Vault Asymmetry) plagiocephaly (left side) with recommendations of 23 hours a day of helmet wearing, which mother (who had full custody at the time) was acceptable to. The mother hid the Doc Band treatment plan from the father. Medical records from Cranial Technologies indicate that mother was a no show on October 8, 2024 (for adjustment), November 1, 2024 (for adjustment), December 26, 2024 (Hold for DSi and entry DSI DOC2). Medical records from Cranial Technologies indicate that the mother canceled August 12, 2024 (consult follow up), rescheduled August 23, 2024 (DOC fit 1), canceled January 9, 2025 (Doc2 fit and entry DSI DOC2), canceled January 21, 2025 (DOC2 fit) and canceled April 17, 2025 (Doc2 fit). Cranial Technology never contacted Child Protective Services for neglect. During this time the father did not even know that his daughter had been prescribed the Doc Band because the mother hid the treatment. Cranial technologies did not act in the best interest of the child. When our granddaughter's helmet treatment was finished in May of 2025 (age 16 months), our granddaughter still fell under the category of severe even after being provided with two Doc Bands. The mother testified in court that she was advised by Cranial Technologies that the child was ok to only wear the Doc Band at night contrary to the recommended 23 hours a day by Cranial Technologies. Our son made Cranial Technologies cranial specialist about what the mother testified in court. Cranial Technologies never offered to write a letter to the court to dispute the mother's claim. Included in the pictures you will see the documented conversation with Cranial technologies about the continued disregard for the mother to follow the recommended 23 hours per day. Cranial technologies reported to CPS the child completed the treatment. CPS did not review medial records. My wife and I showed the CPS worker these documents only to have her disregard the information. A judge ordered CPS to complete a report regarding neglect .Cranial Technologies is claiming the the child completed her treatment even though the child's measurements fall under severe even after being prescribed two Doc Bands and being told that the mother was not complying with the 23 hours per day. In the pictures you will see that even after wearing two Doc Band helmets the child falls under severe. medical records indicate Cranial technologies recommended that our granddaughter receive physical therapy on May 30, 2024 and again in August of 2024 along with occupational therapy, which date the child has not received any of the above referenced therapy. Medical records also indicate that the mother was also referred to a pediatric dentist on August 8, 2024 by the pediatrician due to the correlation between plagiocephaly and the alignment of the jaw. The mother has yet to take the child to the pediatric dentist. Now that the father obtained 50/50 custody, the mother has withheld the child's Medi-Cal card now handcuffing any efforts by the father. The father had offered the mother either Kaiser Permanente or Blue Shield for his daughter, but the mother refuses the healthcare. Cranial Technologies informed the CPS social worker the child completed treatment. Please refer to the exit chart measurements that indicates that the child still falls under the severe category on both measurements. Refer to the cranial view of our granddaughter's head after being prescribed two Doc Band Helmets from August 27, 2024 through May 10, 2025. There is neglect written all over this child's treatment by the mother and failure to protect the child by Cranial Technologies who never called Child Protective Services. Cranial Technologies is now covering themselves from admitting their failure to protect a child to Child Protective Services and the court instead of acting in the best interest of the child. I was asked to takedown the medical records, which were redacted medical records by the owner of Cranial Technologies. I guess because they know they failed to protect the child. read more

My daughter Aurora just completed her helmet therapy at this location she was treated for Plagiocephaly she wore her helmet for a total of 6 weeks 23 hours a day and we are so pleased with the whole experience. It was very easy to schedule her the consultation appointment the front desk people are very nice the whole team was great. After the free consultation we waited for a few weeks until her health insurance approved her treatment. Every appointment was amazing and we never had to wait long each appointment was just going over her progress and making any extra adjustments to the helmet. Even though I'm happy my daughter finished her treatment we will miss going because the staff is so caring and kind and my daughter I can tell loved them! From day one the process was smooth and easy. We were told 4 months but today my son officially graduated and took his helmet off 3 weeks early. If you stick with the regimen and keep your babies helmet on for 23 hours a day as instructed there should be no issue, other than the funky head smell. Follow up appointments every 2 weeks. My son had a flat head that I've been seeing since he was 4-5 months old but his doctors kept saying it'll get better on its own and no need to worry. If you are asking yourself if the DOC band really works. IT DOES!! My boys have been doing amazing! They began a week shy of 6 months old. Well we are on week 6 and there has been such amazing progress! I'm impressed. I was also told though that we, as parents, need to make sure they are in them the 23 hours a day. I've taken my daughter in 3 times since she was just 2 months because I notice her head shape being abnormally flat on one side. First appointment was at 2 months they said her head shape wasn't severe and that a doc band wasn't recommended. I didn't feel comfortable with the decision. So I asked if she can be seen again in months to see if it worsen or improved. Came back and her head shape didn't Improved . So the flat spot was still there . They still didn't recommend it. After 3 appointments they kept telling me no she don't need it but as a mom I feel like she does and I feel the spot very flat and she even has bony edges that stick out and I expressed all these concerns to them. I asked for them to helmet her the third time and they turned me down . I feel overwhelmed as cranial technologies isn't taking my concerns seriously. Not only that they made me waste all the time of growth . If they would of helmet her immediately like I asked her head shape would of been corrected already. I would never refer someone to this clinic. My son suffered for 8 weeks in a helmet that was fitted improperly. The fit was not due to me putting the helmet on incorrectly as they watched me do it in the clinic each visit. The band rested on his eyelids below his eyebrows 24/7 and the staff here told me to adjust it when it slid down. I was undoing the Velcro and pulling it up several times each hour because he was having a hard time seeing and performing his daily activities. As a caretaker of twin infants, this was a huge burden. The clinic refused to trim the forehead portion of the helmet despite my inquiring about it every 2 weeks at our appt. My son even woke up with scratch marks and scabs on the bridge of his nose and eyelids after sleeping, obviously he was scratching due to the irritation. They told me I needed to trim his nails, but there was no way to cut his nails shorter than they were. I finally traveled afar to the clinic in OC for a second opinion. The staff was incredible. They listened to my concerns, took photos of how the helmet was fitting in various positions and then consulted the design team who I learned is available to staff at ALL the clinics. That day the team decided he needed his helmet trimmed. It is now fitting appropriately and no longer impeding with his daily activities. read more

Thank you for changing my daughter's life!!!!!!!!! When I was referred to cranial technology for my daughter flat spot on her head, I was sceptic to say the least. Her head was diagnosed as moderate/severe, I didn't think the doc band would work. At this point, we tried pillows, repositioning and every recommendation the dr gave us, so we weren't sure this was going to work since her shape was this way from birth. Fast forward to 4 months later and my daughters head is unrecognizable!!!! We noticed a difference within 2 weeks with the band but after 4 months her head is perfect!
