Stopped here before going to a show at the Ordway and the service was great! Our server explained the menu very well and answered our questions regarding the Venezuelan dishes. I started with the chicharrons- deep fried pork belly. It was crisp and salty enough. The ambiance is dark and cozy. My main dish was the cod which was also seasoned well with the veggies. For dessert I got the cocotero, a crowd favorite. The coconut and rum cake mixture was perfect! I would definitely go back to try more!

4.5 stars. Came here for restaurant week. While they seemed short-staffed the day we dined, everything was flawlessly executed and we still had attentive service. The location itself was both cozy and lively, with good music and a manageable noise level. We left with a feeling that we can't wait to go back and try one of the multiple menus or other events--brunch (may be seasonal), dinner, paella+sangria, or late happy hour, to name a few! Ps--seems like they could be adept with handling dietary restrictions Pps-- pay attention to their parking email!

Loved everything! Cute, bright place to visit on a summer afternoon. Got there at the opening hour of 4pm. Friendly service and super delicious food and drinks. Perfect place to keep our vacay vibes going. The seafood empanadas are outstanding and beautiful to look at. Best patatas bravas I've had. The broccolini could've been crisper but was so flavorful it was still enjoyable. The drinks were unique and too good! Well crafted and beautiful. Highly recommend this spot! Great food, service, and good vibes all around.

Great service. Restaurant is very cool- nice pottery for dishware, shiny aqua blue concrete floors. Our server Madison was excellent. She provided us with recommendations. The Sangria was good. We tried the cachara - a Venezuelan pancake as an appetizer and the Rompé- the ceviche. Our friends tried the Heart of Palm salad and the dressing was excellent. We all had different entrees- The Fiesta Inn - spaghetti with seafood in a tomato and saffron sauce, the lamb stew, the mahi mahi and the goat. We all enjoyed our entrees. It was more expensive than I thought. Had the affogato for dessert. Really good!

Gorgeous restaurant and very helpful attentive wait staff. I enjoyed my experience and would recommend everyone check it out. I loved some of the food and some was fine. I wish I could remember the name of the gin drink I had- phenomenal as well as pretty. I am a vegetarian/pescatarian and even though they have vegetarian entrees I went with an all starters meal. The cachapes were amazing!!! Light yet filling and flavorful. I enjoyed the beet salad - the seasoning on the beets was exquisite. I closed it out with the seafood empanadas, which were stunning. The masa which was infused with squid ink was a delight but the seafood filling was a bit dry/tough. Overall a lovely evening.

We visited Crasqui during Fall Restaurant Week and had a lovely date night. The space is bright and welcoming, with comfortable chairs and bright teal accents. The three course meal was a great way to try a variety of items on the menu at a reasonable price. The appetizer soup and salad (not pictured) were very tasty, the entree cod was prepared perfectly, and the bollito was a dish we had never experienced before! The passionfruit tart was a bright and flavorful way to end the meal. The drink menu was unique as well, with some uncommon liquors like cocuy. The service was attentive and the chef herself made time to stop by and say hello. We're planning to visit again for their paella and sangria special on Sundays!

Solei, the chef and owner of Crasqui, welcomed me when I walked in, and l sat on the bar, and had the luck to chat with her while enjoying the evening. This is one of a few fine dining places in Minneapolis that has far exceeded my expectation. By reading the menu and listening to Solei, I soon became really excited for all the ingredients to be tasted. I went for the popular Bollitos Pelones, the braised goat, typical Venezuelan food, but with Solei's creative twist. The goat meat are juicy and yummy, inside the crispy corn dough, soaked in coconut milk. The taste is on par with the exceptional look, if not more. This dish really brought me back to my memory of delicious home cooking from Caribbean village. I paired the goat meat with Palmito Y Aguacate, (arugula and roasted heart of palms), and learned the secret of roasted heart of palms, oh wow, simple but delicious! The salad dressing as well as the dip for yuka sticks are fresh and light, and I really love this type of detail. The cocktails are not be missed. Maria Lionza is the cocktail I tried, similar to manhattan, but not overly sweet, subtly balanced, and with a nice nose from the incense clipped and burned on the glass. The cocotero dessert is rum cake with coconut cream. It's such a brilliant show, not only visually satisfying, but successfully wrapped up a heavenly meal. Last but not the least, the attentive services and contemporary ambiance are nothing short of classy. I later read online the stories of Solei and her restaurant business. Kudos and respect to this woman!

Crasqui in Saint Paul is a vegetarian's dream! I was thrilled to find plenty of delicious, creative options that made me feel just as spoiled for choice as any meat-eater. The cheese and plantain empanadas were absolute perfection--crispy, golden, with that irresistible sweet-savory combo. The broccolini was tender with just the right char, proof that simple veggies can shine when done right. Their drinks? Fantastic--fresh, balanced, and made to pair perfectly with the food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy-meets-modern vibe that makes you want to linger, and the service was spot-on: friendly, attentive; host even gave us a glass of champagne for my birthday! If you're plant-based (or just love great food), Crasqui proves vegetarian dining can be vibrant, flavorful, and seriously satisfying.

    Remolachas A La CC

In terms of food quality, it was great, although not to the point of "out of this world" yet, and there is a good amount of varieties that would allow each person to be able to get what they love. For me, there were a few highlights for sure, and a few dishes that were too salty, and I will elaborate below. I absolutely loved the Remolachas a la CC, which contained infused red beets along with herb goat cheese, and passionfruit jelly which provided both flavor and embellished the appearance. Three different kinds of flavors and textures combined, made it a very enjoyable experience with the dish. I also enjoyed Abrazo de Mama, which had an abundant amount of vegetables such as braised cabbage, onions, carrots, rutabaga, and more, along with coconut milk that provided great flavor. The dishes that were too salty were Sopa De Cebolla a la Gigi, the Tequeños, and sometimes the Empanadas (I say sometimes because I have been here multiple times), so it seems like it could be a hit or miss situation. The desserts were some of the real highlights, with Cocotero as, in a way, what defines this establishment. It was really cool to watch our server set the strings on fire. It was not to sweet which was great, and the cocada cream helped provide it with a creamy texture along with the coconut flavor, on top of the rum cake. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Torta de Zanahoria, which was the carrot cake, and the Marquesa de Chocolate, which was a whipped chocolate ganache. Overall I enjoyed the fact that none of the desserts were too sweet, and provided textural juxtapositions that offered an enjoyable experience. I must mention that it was clear that the meat dishes were a lot more expensive than the rest, such as the sea bass, the ribeye, the tenderloin, and more, which made me actively decide to not order them. Based on the fact that El Dorado, which was the red snapper, had a relatively small portion (7 ounces), I would assume that if one wants to order a meat entrée, some budgeting might be needed. One more thing, the owner Soleil is very sweet and if anyone has the chance to meet her, I would recommend relishing the chance to converse with her more than just surface level!

Sea bass entree - meh. Oversalted but maybe just me.

Beautiful setting for a private dinner. The fresh flowers throughout the dishes & on the table were an especially nice touch. I liked the fried cheese appetizer, squash soup & desserts but unfortunately my fish entree was underwhelming. If you come here, get the chicken or red meat instead. Our server was not overly friendly but food came out pretty timely. It is still one of the best fancier options for a group dinner in the area.

Soleil is an angel and her food is incredible! It's crazy to me how this place isn't busy. Split the yuca sticks, chicharron, tostones cameroneros, and remolachas with a friend. It was the perfect amount of food and everything had fantastic flavors. The chicharron/pork belly was my favorite, the accompanying sauce was perfect. We split the marquesa de chocolate for dessert and almost cried it was so delicious.

If you haven't been here yet, run! This place is such a hidden spot that is absolutely mind blowing good. Every single thing here is amazing. From the apps to the entrees and even their desserts were sooooo incredible! Every single person I've brought here has immediately came back with someone else it's THAT good!

We went there two nights in a row. It is that good. The mocktails were well thought out and the best I've ever had. Chilean sea bass was outstanding. The cheese sticks are very tasty

But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!
