Eating by Dane street look at those Tater tots
    Kassidi D.

Crave, you're my fave, Go to breakfast sandwich THE BEST bacon, egg & cheese you'll have on the northshore!! Tater tots with the special sauce also are amazing they have tons of different options from coffee, teas and lemonades!! I also try and get a special or new menu items. As they always drop new items Eat in or grab and go and head over to one the beautiful local beaches for a view while you eat. Service is always quick and staff is super friendly!!!!

I usually make a stop here at least once on my trips up. Their breakfast sandwiches always have a good flavor profile. Their drinks aren't anything special, maybe a bit sub par when compared to the delicious sandwiches. If you go on a busy day, double check your order (I've had bacon missing on one of their premade sandwiches :( ). There is some seating in side but I wouldn't consider it a food place to do work, but if you're just conversing with people then that place should accommodate.

I build my own breakfast sandwich I did a sausage, bacon, egg on a Butter croissant and the tater tots full of flavor !!

This breakfast place was amazing. The employees were nice and I definitely recommend this breakfast spot...

The name says it all. Once you come here, you will Crave them! They have freshly baked in-house croissants of many different flavors, and I stick to the same order--egg & cheese on a buttery croissant. I love their Breakfast Sandwiches. I wish they had more options without meat, maybe add tomato and spinach, but it's not a deal-breaker. They have delicious teas and lattes. My favorites are the Dirty Earl Grey and Dirty Chai Lattes. They also have a ton of different unique cupcakes if that's your thing. I tried them once and it was very good, but I don't eat cupcakes anymore. If sweets are your thing, they won't disappoint in that area, either. Ambience: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service 5/5 Crave: 5/5

    Northshore sandwich

Popped in on a Tuesday morning and ordered the Northshore sandwich and an iced with simple syrup. Wait was about five minutes for my sandwich. The maple aioli on the sandwich was *chefs kiss*. I've never had a bfast sandwich like this before and it's all I've been craving since I returned from vacation, really living up to their name. The iced tea was fresh and staff was friendly. Their desserts looked yummy but I was so full after my sandwich so I didn't have the chance to try anything. Next time!

I could have sworn I reviewed Crave already. Shame on me for taking this long considering I've loved this place for months. While I wouldn't call myself a croissant connoisseur, Crave has the best croissants I've ever had. They have some great sweet flavors, like almond, Nutella, and raspberry and mascarpone cheese. Savory croissant flavors include ham and Swiss cheese. They also have rotating seasonal flavors, like pumpkin spice and birthday cake. The plain butter croissants are excellent on their own or used in a breakfast sandwich. I've only had the North Shore, which I highly recommend, and I want to try their others as well. I love their coffee and iced tea too. My favorite drink is the Dirty Chai, which is a chai latte with espresso. Delicious hot or iced. Customer service is always excellent. The interior is small but cozy. If you go early in the day you may not be able to find a seat. If you are fortunate enough to have the time and a place to sit, this is a nice place to relax and enjoy your food and beverage. If you're just here to pick up, the City of Beverly offers free street parking for 20 minutes, and there's plenty of parking space on Rantoul Street.

Great water view that is most likely even better in summer. Staff was very nice and attentive. Appetizers came out decently quick in which we had the buffalo cauliflower bites and crab cake. The cauliflower was cooked well but the buffalo sauce was very strong. It could have used a nice blue cheese dressing on the side for dipping. The crab cake was the highlight of the night. The one crab cake sat on a bed of pepper relish with the mango habanero aioli on top was a surprisingly good combo. My wife ordered the filet and ask for it medium. Looked good coming out the we find out the potatoes and spinach the steak were laying on were very cold and the steak was very rare. At a price of $48 you expect the meal to be at least warm and cooked properly. And now the churassco, I had zero idea what this was gonna come out as but it was just kind of a hodgepodge of stuff thrown on a plate. Yucca frites were very dry and stale tasting so it took a lot to chew. I didn't know the carrot was going to be shredded carrots cause unless it's in a salad I prefer actual carrot slices. Steak and plantains were cooked very well and were tasty. It came out on a skillet but there was zero sizzle. I don't really understand why they put onion rings on the rice it just made it harder to eat. I do hope the food got more consistent throughout the night cause the beginning was kind of a mixed bag.

"It's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality" - i picked it because of this quote on the menu, and i forgot how much i used to love p!atd. i thought to myself, "i've heard this before somewhere..." i loved the bread & roasted garlic butter, however on a little cutting board it was difficult not to make a mess. i guess that's part of what makes it "kitchen table." it is the perfect, round sourdough loaf with the most delicious butter. the roasted chicken was prepared flawlessly. juicy and tender inside, and a perfect crispy skin, just wow. i absolutely loved the selection of spring vegetables, along with the sherry sauce; sautéed spinach, carrots, mushrooms, and onions. the mashed potatoes were perfect once i added extra salt, extra pepper & whipped it up with more of that garlic butter to my liking, however it was prepared great. i requested it without bacon butter, how it typically comes prepared, and the garlic butter is a great substitute. everything was impeccable. i travel to boston often just for food, because i find that the food in beverly, as a whole, is just not up to par, even with all of the marketing. kitchen table is different than any other restaurant in beverly, and now i don't have to travel so far to get the most delicious meals! i am honestly blown away by how amazing my meal was, and i highly recommend kitchen table to anyone in the north shore, and i'd even say it's completely worth going out of your way for. whether solo, a romantic or friend date, or with a small or large group, kitchen table is here to serve (one of the best meals you've had in a long time). there were some other ladies at the bar that were extremely hospitable and helpful as well, i didn't catch their names this time. i wanted to take some pictures at the end of my meal, at closing time when it had emptied out, and molly encouraged me to take all the pictures i needed. just fantastic service by all of the staff. i couldn't be happier with my first experience at kitchen table. here's to many more! ambiance: 4.9/5 food: 5/5 drinks: 5/5 service: 5/5 kitchen table: 5/5

When we got there, we found the owner and his girlfriend cooking dinner. They were very nice and welcoming. I knew to expect the owners living quarters to be really close to the guest rooms because of some of the reviews I read but since the room we were in had a private entrance we weren't worried, we figured we could come and go and have the privacy we were looking for with no problem. We told Ted that we were late sleepers and not to worry about providing breakfast for us (the website says breakfast is served between 8:30-9:30). We would much rather sleep in and then grab brunch somewhere and we didn't want to hold him up from whatever he may have had planned for the day. He seemed somewhat resistant to the idea of not providing sustenance for us so after a little discussion, J and I told him "okay, how about 10:30?" He said he would leave certain items out for us. The house and our room really were gorgeous! Ted is an architect and he has done a really great job on the house and grounds. We stayed in the pond room which had cathedral ceilings, a two person jacuzzi, a gas fireplace, double glass doors, lighted double sinks that automatically turned on when you walked into the room, a whole wall of windows, decks, and heated floors. We were really happy with the room. It was very clean and decorated with a subtle nautical theme. From the moment we got there, we kind of felt like we had to whisper in our room. Probably because there wasn't any other guests there that weekend and the owner was having dinner 20 ft from our door. I know they probably couldn't have heard us but it did make me feel more uncomfortable than I thought it would. In the morning, we were woken up bright and early by the sun coming through the large, high windows in our room. No wonder breakfast is so early, how can anyone sleep through that? However, I do have to say that if I wasn't a cranky morning person, this would be a really enjoyable way to wake up, sun and beautiful blue sky and trees to look at while lying in bed. We pulled ourselves together and quietly went to the kitchen for breakfast. Ted said he would leave things out for us so we assumed we'd be alone. He immediately came around the corner when we got to the kitchen so it felt like he may have been waiting for us. He served us cantaloupe slices with yogurt, granola and berries and a tomato and basil quiche, which was all very good. What wasn't good was that he talked to us from the kitchen the whole time we were eating, so we had to keep turning around in our chairs to respond to him. It was uncomfortable and awkward (if he had sat down with us, it wouldn't have been as bad). During our weird breakfast conversation, it comes up that J is a software engineer and next thing you know, Ted is asking for help with a website he is working on. I have no problem with J helping someone out, but DUDE we're on vacation and we are paying you good money, don't ask for business help while we are trying to relax. It just wasn't appropriate. I said "Maybe when we are on our way out on Sunday he can help you for a bit". After that, we pretty much chose to use our private entrance to the room when we came and went from the house. We didn't feel like discussing in great detail every time we came back from somewhere, what we had done and where we had gone. I think Ted meant well, he had a lot of advice and suggestions for things to do and he was a really nice guy but it just didn't mesh with our style. For the most part, we like to be left alone when we go away and Ted didn't seem to pick up on the signals we gave him. I think this B&B would be really great for an older couple, for some reason I feel like older people are more open to this type of attention. On Sunday when we packed up, J was heading out to take some things to the car and Ted followed him outside for help on his website. He spent more than an hour working on something with him, while I sat in our room waiting. We probably won't go back. Gorgeous place, beautiful backyard and pond, and nice trails that lead to a running path and the harbor. I really liked the physical surroundings but didn't really feel relaxed because Ted was overly available and obviously in closer earshot than we would have liked. A week later, Ted called and asked BF to go on trip advisor and write a positive review of our stay!! No wonder I found so many good reviews online. 5 stars for aesthetics and 1 star for invasiveness! It wasn't horrible but it was not our style. **Updating this review in March '09: Ted called J a month or so ago and said he found this review and apologized and offered us a free night at the B&B. Not sure if we'll take him up on it but nice that he tried to make amends.**

This gem is nestled in a quiet neighborhood bordering a 37 acre sanctuary with trails that lead down to Salem Harbor. I looked at a number of B & Bs before finding this obvious and rare jewel of a home. Ted and Sophie, our hosts, were flexible as we arrived early and left a bit late since the off season is easier on everyone. This home has been meticulously redone, as have the beautiful grounds. Indeed, this property is featured in a number of architectural, gardening, and home magazines. The obvious care and attention to detail is very very unique. Our host, Ted, and his lovely dog, Sophie, made us feel right at home. Ted has an easy way about him that makes one feel like family the second you walk through the door. As is common with Bed and Breakfasts, you are a part of the family while in residence - that's the charm. The breakfasts were lovely and we invited Ted to join us as we learned about the house, its history, and received numerous tips about local attractions, restaurants, shops, and some of the local North Shore news. All in all our stay was wonderful. Ted opened his home to us and helped make our stay a memorable and relaxing time. I most enthusiastically recommend the Fox Pond B&B; we'll be back!
