Came here on a recommendation and it definitely lived up to the hype. The pizza had a crispy crust, plenty of toppings, and tasted like everything was made fresh. It was busy when I stopped by, but the staff stayed friendly and kept things moving without making anyone feel rushed. The dining area had a casual, comfortable feel that made it easy to sit down and enjoy the meal. It's the kind of local pizza place you end up wanting to come back to, and I know I will.

No pun intended--I was genuinely craving pizza on a Sunday evening. This happened to be one of the few pizza places that was opening late at night that was not any of the larger multinational joints. I ordered the Large pizza with Tandoori Chicken and Italian Sausage (*$17) as part of a special deal. *Craving Pizza does many deals, which you can find on their website. I really liked the sesame seeds on the crust and the generous amount of meat toppings. Beyond that, it's a solid, affordable pizza--nothing particularly groundbreaking, but good value for the price. I wished my tandoori chicken was less dry. If you happen to have leftovers, I'd recommend taking them home and adding your own extra toppings or sauces. The creamy white sauce that comes with the pizza also pairs nicely with the crust. The staff were friendly and I ran into no issues ordering through their kiosk. Overall, a convenient option for a late-night pizza craving. Would recommend!

Had the small tandoori chicken pizza and apple juice for lunch. I'd tried it at a Yelp event a while back and remembered it was delicious and not spicy. It was very good once again. Loved the amount of toppings, loved the tandoori flavor, loved the crunchy onions, loved the crust. (I asked that they leave off the peppers, jalapeños, and mushrooms.) It was a bit spicier than I remember, but no big deal. I'll definitely be back for more.

We've been to Craving Pizza a few times now and it's a great spot for desi-style pizza. Tried the Peri Peri, Creamy Butter, and Tandoori Chicken, all super flavorful and different from your usual pizza place. The shop is pretty small (only about 3 tables), so not a ton of seating. The crust isn't my favorite, but the toppings make up for it. Only downside is we always ask for no sesame crust and they keep forgetting . Prices are a little on the higher side too. Service is good, the owner usually runs the place and serves, which gives it a nice personal touch. Overall, tasty and unique pizzas worth checking out if you're craving something desi and different!

The tandoori chicken, pepperoni, and triple cheese pizzas were delicious. The service was great, and food came quickly

Good pizza. I really like the tomato sauce on the pepperoni. I think the pepperoni was better than the chicken pesto because the pesto flavor did not seem very strong, the pizza for the chicken pesto seemed a bit dry like it was light on sauce. The regular crust is a bit more doughy and the thin crust is a bit more hard. Overall though the pizza is good and I like the slice size for the small pizza. Not too big and very easy to share

The pizza was ready when we got there. This was ordered before dinner time. We got two pizzas, one small and one large. A Hawaiian and one creamy butter.Price isn't bad. Would come back to try other flavors. Just wish it had a little more bread to the pizza. Satisfied the pizza craving I had though. I like that they have traditional flavors as well as Indian.Service was neutral

Me and my bf were so excited to try this place! He ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza and I ordered the White Garlic Spinach pizza (with no onions). We gave both pizzas a 9/10. We absolutely LOVED the flavors and especially the crust. There's just something about that sesame crust The service from the owner and staff was above and beyond. The owner was so so kind and I wish him the best for his business! The place was clean and quaint, very inviting. Will definitely come back again!!

I tried a new place named Craving Pizza located at 1111 Meridian Ave, Ste 2, San Jose, CA 95125 This is primarily a take out place with a huge menu to select from including 20 different pizzas. There are a few tables and chairs and the restaurant is very clean, including the kitchen. Delivery is available through their website. Now for the food! I had the small beef and bacon pizza, zaatar manakeesh (Persian bread sticks), and a Greek salad. The WOW factor was totally unexpected! The portion size was impressive but the pizza was unlike anything I have ever tasted. The crust was a special recipe with sesame seeds on the crust and tasted amazing! The selection of pizzas was impressive and the sides available were garlic cheese sticks, potato wedges to chicken wings. They even have desserts! I'm definitely coming back as it is one of the finest pizza I've ever had! I don't want to forget their fabulous Craving Deal specials which can really save you a lot of money, especially the party special deal. Parking can be a bit challenging during lunch and dinner time, as there are other restaurants that share the lot. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Craving Pizza!

I called this spot beforehand and preordered. The owner (I'm assuming) was very friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff could be friendlier. The pizza was ready when I arrived and the service is really good. There is only a couple of tables inside and there is a decent amount of parking. The inside was small and clean. The small butter chicken pizza was perfect for 2 people. I do think it could use more sauce because it was hard to taste the butter chicken flavor. I liked the sesame seed crust and how they provided ranch.

My 2nd time here! Came early tonight (Friday evening) and got 2 pizzas- vegetarian and ham and pineapple.Delicious!! Pizzas come with a little container of ranch dressing. The sesame crust is so good! I drizzle a little siracha on crust .Yum! The first time we came (last week lol)we got mushroom & pepperoni,it was also delish

This was my and my son's first time here. Sammy welcomed us in and took our order. I got the Peri-Peri Pizza. I'm always up to trying something different and I like anything with spice. My son got the Pepperoni Pizza with additional bacon. You also have the option to place your order from the kiosk. The place is small, very bright and colorful. There is one table for four and a table for two. There are also tables outside to share with Togo's. We sat outside to wait for our food since it was a warm and beautiful day. Sammy brought our pizzas to us. Thanks, Sammy, for the complimentary jalapeno ranch dip and regular ranch dip. That was a nice surprise. The Peri-Peri was so good! Not too spicy. I loved the sesame seeds on the crust! Great flavor and it enhanced the crispiness of the crust. Also, I liked that the crust was not too thick. Next time I'll try the cauliflower crust. Thanks for checking up on us, Sammy, to make sure everything was good. My son appreciated it.

Good customer service and clean new pizza restaurant! They had 3 tables! I tried teriyaki chicken and it was soooo good!!!!! The garlic cream on the side was very good with the pizza. They put sesame seed on the crust which I really loved! I definitely come back here to try more pizza with my son:)

Jubba is serving up some of the best food i've ever had. As a newbie to somali food, I am now hooked. we came in on a friday around 6:15 and there was a steady group of people enjoying their food. we ordered at the counter and took a seat outside to enjoy the weather 1 Sambusa 1 chicken wrap 1 beef plate the sambusa arrived first and initially I thought Samosa in my head. But the sambusa has a better structure, holding its shape after multiple bites. the Dough is softer but still crispy. it came with beef , chilies and other vegetables. so so good. the perfect appetizer for us. it came with a spicy green sauce that seemed to be the common sauce for every dish then the stars of the show. The sizzling hot beef plate served with veggies, rice and a salad was unbelievable. add on a lemon and some more greens sauce and you're in for a treat. the rice alone was so flavorful and it tasted like there was meat drippings on top. the beef was so tender and fell apart in 1 bite. I was blown away with the dish the chicken wrap... man. I'm not sure what kind of bread, pita was used but it was fantastic. a huge wrap with lettuce, onion chicken, sauce and other veggies. It was so messy and hard to eat with your hands so we resorted to eating with a fork and knife. Unreal. Unreal. massive portions again which are a theme here. But holy smokes this was so good. The chicken has a nice char, but is also juicy and saucy. the spongy pita neutralizes the bombardment of flavor from the meat, and the veggies compliment everything with some crunch and texture. Service was great and very helpful. They were extremely friendly and a delight to talk with. We will be back 5/5

She also enjoys eating this dish when she comes here with my brother. I would definitely come here again.

Today, I decided to order the Chicken Fajitas, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Without a doubt, it was the most delicious fajitas dish I have ever had. The portion size was very generous, and the sides were fantastic. The guacamole, sour cream, Spanish rice, and black beans were all fresh, flavorful, and complemented the meal perfectly. This was my very first visit to El Halal Mexican Restaurant in the heart of downtown Willow Glen,…read moreand I've been wanting to stop by for a while. I finally decided to give it a try after hearing about the restaurant from food reviewer Dave fiore text. As someone who absolutely loves tacos and is always on the hunt for great local taco spots, I was excited to see how this place compared to some of my favorites. I ordered four different tacos, and overall, they were pretty good. They weren't bad by any means, but they also didn't quite blow me away. The meat was cooked well, the tortillas were fresh, and the tacos had good flavor. The salsa was decent too, although I personally prefer something with a little more kick. Everyone has different tastes, so this is just my opinion. One thing I really appreciated was how clean and organized the restaurant was. You can tell they take pride in keeping the dining area nice and welcoming. The staff was friendly, and my food came out quickly. It's always a good sign when a restaurant pays attention to both cleanliness and customer service. I've eaten at a lot of taco places throughout the Bay Area, so I naturally compare every new place to some of my favorites. While El Halal Mexican Restaurant didn't make the top of my list, I still had a good experience and I'm glad I finally gave it a shot. Not every restaurant has to be your favorite to be worth visiting. I also like supporting family-owned businesses because I know how much hard work goes into running a local restaurant. They deserve credit for creating a clean, welcoming place and serving quality food. Will I come back? Maybe. If I do, I'd probably try something different on the menu instead of the tacos. Sometimes a restaurant's best dish isn't the first thing you order, and I'd be interested in seeing what else they have to offer. Overall, I'd give El Halal Mexican Restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It was a good experience, I'm happy I finally got to try it, and if you're in the Willow Glen area, it's worth stopping by and deciding for yourself.

It's like a cross between a western style bbq joint and a middle eastern twist with its meats and food. Turns out, this place is mainly an Afghan restaurant! I ordered their chili lamb kabob which was tender and juicy. It had lots of flavor from the spices but enough to where it wasn't overwhelming. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. I really liked their white creamy yogurt sauce mixed with their red house chili sauce. It gave my lamb meat so much flavor and some heat. I loved my order and will definitely order two next time. I also want to try their steaks. They take their time grilling their meats so orders can take a short while. It's worth it for sure. No complaints here but I do wish they played some light music in the background for some ambiance. Things can be real quiet in here so it can be awkward dining in.
