This place is worth of driving to Austin. I normally like Vietnamese style boiled crawfish than Cajun but this place completely change my mind. The flavor inside the crawfish is great and balance. I'm giving this 4 stars because I finally found a place down south that does raw oysters at a crazy reasonable price that are yum yum to my tum tum. We tried the fried catfish, too, and it was very good. I wasn't impressed with the cole slaw (I'm definitely a cole slaw snob) because it seemed old and because of that, bitter, but the rest of the dinner was very good. Service was excellent. We come here for crawfish when it's in season and have never been disappointed. I do notice they tend to serve smaller and smaller ones as the season ends. But their buttery garlicky sauce is really good. I always get the 1x spicy with extra mushrooms and sausage. I sometimes order crab legs and those can be served in the same sauce if you like. Cajun fries and calamari are good and pretty cheap too. Dinner during the week Mon-Thurs is usually not crowded, sometimes a bit empty. The only time we had to wait about 45 mins was on a Friday during Lent season, but that's not surprising. I like the location too, it's in South Park Meadows, so you can get Amy's Ice Cream, Boba tea, or froyo for dessert afterwards. Or do some shopping at Target. read more

I was in Austin for the weekend and decided to check this place out. When we got there it looked to be a wait time as there were groups of people sitting outside. Walked in there was not a host at the hostess stand. We stood there for about 5 minutes before one came. We noticed open seating at the bar we sat there. We sat there for about 10 mins with one menu and a dirty bar top. Finally the bartender came out asked if we needed another menu and then took out drink order. As we sat there i noticed the rest of the bar had not been cleaned off. When the bartender returned he took our order. I took a napkin to clean off the bar and pushed it over to the side. The bartender just put a piece of paper over the trash before our food came out. Didn't take long for our food to come out which was good. The snow crab legs were huge and very meaty. The food is why i am giving this place 3 stars bc the service is horrible. read more

You get served freaking raw mushrooms! Hands down was the worst crawfish I've ever had. Don't waste your money here. It should be considered animal cruelty for what they do to these crawfish. My bf and I love seafood especially crab, we usually cook it at home cause it's cheaper but if we're wanting to go out we go to Joe's crab shack but we got recommended to this place by a friend and tried it out. The only thing I really liked about my meal was the garlic butter and the spice. I ordered 1LB of Snow Crab which was 16.99 (overpriced) by bf ordered King crab, 2LBs which was $51 (SUPER overpriced) and I had very little meat in my crab claws. They also ran out of potatoes? My complaint is the fact my order comes with one half corn on cob and one potato and to add more they charge per cob and potato and you even have to pay for butter lol. We also weren't greeted when we came in and our server was pretty absent, they seemed understaffed. All in all we'll stick with joes. read more

We are from out of town and just wanted to eat some crawfish. We had oysters, gumbo, and of course crawfish. Would definitely not recommend this place!!! The gumbo had no flavor what so ever. Gumbo I had out of a can was better. The oysters were good in size but wasn't a big fan of the idea of pico on my oysters. The crawfish were the smallest I had ever seen. But not only that. They had so much butter that you literally had to scoop them out like soup. Wouldn't recommend at all. I make way way better crawfish and I don't do it for a profession. Great food, but they have no idea what they are doing with Favor. Rely on a third party company for delivery. I waited almost 2 hours, to find out the restaurant is closed. At 8pm. When I ordered at 6. I called they were open. I would go there every Friday when I was off. I told the Manger that, I am gonna spend my 300 dollars a month at another seafood restaurant. We ordered crawfish and shrimp to go for dinner and the crawfish was inedible. It was over cooked and the texture was extremely rubbery. We used to love ordering crawfish here but it seems like due to covid, the quality of food has gone downhill. We called to explain how bad the food was, but they tried to tell us it was because we picked the food up 2 hours later. Our receipt proved we picked the food up within 30 minutes of ordering. This place is the best! In a convenient spot in Southpark Meadows, it's very easy to access, but not as easy to see because it's hiding behind another restaurant. This place is always so busy, so I usually get takeout, but the dining service is just as good. Even though there are usually a lot of people, they get your food out fast and it doesn't feel like you're sitting there forever. The flavor of the crab is so good! This is the first place I ever tried snow crab, and it got me hooked. They provide lots of tools to help you eat, like gloves and a cracker for the shell. They provide a little tin for you to put your trash in when you're done. And they also provide little wet napkins for easy cleanup. Given that we went here for crawfish, I expected to mediocre at best simply due the immersed population of New Orleans natives coming over during Katrina has made Houston a go to place for crawfish, which is where I am originally from. However, upon randomly stumbling upon this restaurant, this is truly a diamond in the rough. I would recommend everybody in Austin to come and try their crawfish at least once... If you know what good crawfish is . From what I hear, they just opened. They are doing a great job attending to their patrons with great service. The gf and I have visited their OG location off wells branch multiple times. Best crawfish in Austin hands down. But half our visits also have been accompanied by below average/very slow service. But when we saw they finally opened a location in our neck of the woods, we had to give it a try. We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. Pretty busy time to get there. We were 3rd on the waiting list. The first thing to catch my eye was the lack of staff for a restaurant that large. Having dirty tables stay dirty and not having your guests on the waiting list seated on those empty tables is a huge rookie mistake. So annoying to see. I work in a restaurant. If my employees were to leave dirty tables uncleaned while other guests were waiting for 20+mins, that would be a major problem. Now to the food... awesome. Just like their OG location. Big. Juicy. Fresh crawfish. Awesome flavors. I would describe my spice tolerance as middle of the pack, so getting the medium level spice is always perfect. Get a side order of the grilled bread and dip it in the boil fluids. Do it. You will thank me later. The food did take a while to come out as always... The crawfish etouffee here is Probably the best I've had in Austin as well. Which is another reason it's a damn shame I can't give this place 5 stars. I love crawfish so I thought I'd get some to go and head back home. We walked in and were sent over to the bar to order, and at the last minute we decided to eat there and have some drinks. I ordered a frozen margarita and two pounds of extra spicy crawfish. My boyfriend ordered the catfish platter. Overall, I say that the food (and the margarita) was delicious and the crawfish were huge. The extra spicy is not as spicy as some I've had elsewhere, but still had a great kick and flavor. They came out and apologized then someone came over by the name of Rica to be our server stating our server hadn't showed up to work yet. I came in after 9 PM and the bar and restaurant was full of hungry people. I waited about 10 minutes and grabbed a seat at the bar. Stephen and Fernando are excellent bartenders and immediately provided me with an unsweetened tea. I had a couple of friends show up and they orders snow crab and live crawfish. The food was ready in a few minutes. Delicious! I highly recommend the live crawfish. They fix it just right. Mmm crawfish! I LOVE their Cajun seasoning. They only have the one but you can get it at any level of spice. Every 2 pounds of seafood comes with ONE corn, ONE potato, and a couple of sausages and mushrooms. Is a corn and a tiny red potato really worth 75¢ each? It's unfortunate but they're totally worth it. Our waiter, Angelique, was also great and super helpful. She recommended 3 pounds of crawfish for my friend and I and it was the perfect amount! Thanks girl. I've decided that rainy days are the best days to go in. A normal Saturday night = 1 hour wait. A rainy Saturday night = seated immediately. We went for my son's 15th birthday and the one star is more on the service than the food. We went on a Friday night, the hostess told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour, we waited about 15 which was nice. We ordered our drinks, 4 sweet teas, one un sweet. The server told us they just ran out of sweet tea but were brewing some fresh. The sweet tea was not very sweet at all - I prefer un sweet tea so I liked it. About 30 minutes passed before my wife got her tea, but it did come out eventually. My son and I each ordered two pounds of crawfish, his mild - mine spicy, my wife and daughter shared the shrimp and steak, and my son's friend ordered a well done steak and fries. We also started with two orders of hush puppies. The hush puppies were good, so was the tarter sauce. The crawfish was also good but the server wasn't sure which one was spicy and which was mild, so we had to figure out which was which by trying each others. It also says in the menu if you order two pounds you'll get corn, 1 potato, sausage, and mushrooms. My order didn't have any potato in it, his order had 1 tiny red potato. For a seafood restaurant, this feels CHEAP. If you have to, charge an extra $0.50 and include a regular sized Russet Potato. The steak was bad. The crawfish got delivered a good 10 minutes before the steak, I had to get up and go looking for it. My wife ordered her steak med-rare and the other steak was ordered well done. I understand that a well done steak may take a bit longer, but not a med-rare. The fries are also CHEAP frozen fries. To top it off, the steaks were mixed up. They served my wife the well done steak and our guest the med-rare. Which isn't a huge deal to swap, but our guest probably left hungry because the well done steak was tiny. Both cuts had big fatty chunks also. After the food got delivered, we didn't see our server again until I asked another server if they could get our check. At which point our server showed up and bused the table. He didn't get much of a tip out of me and maybe a manager will read this and address it. After eating the crawfish my hands were plenty covered in the buttery sauce, which was good, but they need to send out wet wipes or something. I went in to the restroom to wash my hands and had to use my pants because there were no paper towels there either. TLDR - The crawfish was good, the rest of it was CHEAP frozen foods that got fried or re-heated. They should be ashamed of the service, it was that bad. read more

We had oysters half shells ($10.95 for a dozen) calamari and boudin balls (both at $4.95 each) for appetizers. we also orders 3 lbs of snow crabs at $7.99/lb with $1 off for every pound that Saturday, 2 inks of crawfish at $9.99/lb, but with every 2 lbs we got potatoes, corn and mushrooms in the hot pot. we also had their margarita special that evening, which was pineapple margaritas for $6. Spent $115 for everything, that's great for the amount of food we had! We enjoyed our waitress and it was a restaurant.
