First visit and my last! Service was the WORST!! Saw 10 waitresses around, but nobody cams by to serve us or provide refills without us having to wave them down. And it took 3 different servers to get us water and new straws. The restaurant wasn't even that busy, so not sure what happened with the servers hovering over each other at the "Order and pick up here" area. After one waitress took our food orders, no other servers came to ask for refills or napkins. Never did we even get any silverware. 0 Stars for service! I give 3 stars for the Chicken Strips and Fries, so 2 stars for the overall rating. The Garlic Butter Noodles had no flavor at all! Thought it was supposed to be full of butter and garlic, but it was totally bland. The others ordered Combo 1 and Combo 2 with a 5-star spice level, but when they tasted the mussels, shrimp and crawfish, there was no spice at all. Amazing crawfish and oyster! Crawfish surprisingly did not taste frozen (meaning the meat is dry and tough) like most crawfish places we've been to! Oysters were very fresh- did not have the slimy/cloudy texture nor did it have a foul taste when consuming. I can easily devour 3 dozens of these! This place might be my 2nd go to place now for crawfish (first place being crawfish house. We've been going to crawfish house for almost a decade now. Prices are reasonable and food is always consistent). As of right now, price for crawfish at crawfish house is $12.99/lb and at boiling crawfish, it is $14.99/lb. I've been to the Boiling Crawfish in Kent twice now and enjoyed it both times. I leave feeling full and ready for a nap! The food is all great and fresh, I especially love how large the shrimp are, it's not like the small store bought shrimp you typically see and the snow crab is great. Always go with the house special sauce and sometimes extra potato or sausage just because but due to COVID some of the prices have gone up to some unreasonable levels like 6 slices of sauce for either $4 or $6. You can buy an entire sausage from the store that will give you 20 slices for $4, there is no need to up-charge something that is very cheap and a nice add-on. Other than the price increase of some cheap add-ons I wish the lobster came cut up already similar to how the crab is. It just seems like too much work to get into the Lobster when I can pay less and have the crab already torn apart for me. read more

We were craving some seafood boil and we decided to try this location. We have tried the Puyallup location before. Upon walking in, it was like a 5 minute wait or less but the server and host was really nice! We got the combo #9 which comes with everything. Everything but the crab was cooked to perfection. I never cared for clams or crawfish but for some reason, it was my favorite parts of the boil tonight. The crab tasted a little over cooked for my tasting and wasn't as big as we'd like. It wasn't hitting like the others I've had. The sauce was pretty good, tasted better, I wish we shaked the bag because we didn't discover the garlic until later. We also got the house wings which was PERFECT! The fries were okay. All in all, I think it was a great experience. We ended up spending a little over $200 for everything which is accurate I guess. Restaurant is used to be called Boiling Crawfish. One of my favorite seafood restaurant. We always get their seafood combos (#1 & #4, or #6) with cajun sauce and mild spice. Their cajun sauce is very tasty and flavorful. Plenty of sauce and seafood per servings. For rice, I recommend their seafood fried rice, it's our favorite! For appetizers, I like their french fries. I do recommend trying their strawberry lemonade (free refill), it's so good and compliments well with the seafood. They provide gloves and bids, dry cajun seasoning, and lime on the side. The table is covered with white paper so that even though you make a mess, which you will, it's an easy clean up for them. Plenty of seatings for dine-in, however they do get pretty busy on the weekends during lunch and dinner time. If we do visit over the weekend, we go around 3-5pm and it's not as busy. read more

Great crawfish spot! We had a party of 13 and we all really enjoyed our experience. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and the whole experience was very pleasant. There are tons of crawfish in the "sea" waiting to be feasted upon in this restaurant. My brother has been dying to try this place out as he is an avid lover of seafood and so is my family. Including my brother and I, there were 6 of us. We ordered the combo #9 with the house special sauce and that was enough for us. We also ordered bread on the side. Lemme tell you, dipping bread in that sauce was a genius move. If you dont finish and you end up taking the food home, keep the sauce after you finish your seafood and you can use it as a dipping sauce for certain foods you might like it with. The combo came with 5 1/2 lbs of all the seafood listed on the rest of the combos. However you get 3 lbs of potato and 3 lbs of corn as well. I honestly think this is a better deal for 6 people rather than just combining two combos because you get a pound and a half extra with combo #9. This was our first time tasting crawfish and it was ok. The crawfish seemed too dry and upon googling it, it shouldnt be and that its overcooked. The rest of the seafood tasted okay though. Being a messy eater is ok here. They provide you a bib, gloves, lime, and what I believe to be a spicy cajun rub before they hand you your food. We tend to eat our seafood with a bit of vinegar so we asked if they have any. They do not have vinegar. Thats ok, the cajun rub added a better spicy kick. Now environment-wise, upon entering, you'll get surprised at how small this place is. Its not as big as you think you see on the outside. I also sadly noticed this place is dirty. The floors do not look like theyve been scrubbed clean and you can see the evident dirt pilings on the trims throughout the restaurant. Service was great, they attended to refilling our water every now and then. They also checked up on customers once in a while to see if they needed anything else. The restaurant is located in a not so nice part of Kent. Its in the strip mall right next to the Safeway and tucked into the corner. There isnt a lot of parking available as there are other restaurants and a bar surrounding the area, so be mindful if you do visit on a weekend. read more

Seafood joint close to home -- how good can it get in Kent?! I've come here a handful of times now and there are ups and downs. The ups: other than weekends you'll get seated right away and service is quick! I may be biased because I love seafood but it's always on point! I favor the house special sauce, mild with my combo 5! For a combo I'd say it can comfortably feed 2-3 people. Also, the crawfish were pretty big, i was shook. But anyways, the downs: weekends tend to be super packed and service kind of goes down hill from here... they get super busy that they don't notice the wait up front, waters don't get refilled, no one comes around to see if you need any additional orders, and worst of all... they run out of crawfish!! Anywho, their appetizers slaps!! They have good variety from tots to garlic fries to Cajun fries to onion rings and more! You also get the option of adding additional baskets of seafood to your combos or however you'd like it. They have 5 sauces you can choose from and can make it as spicy or not as spicy as you like. They serve beers and wines. You get the bibs and gloves. Parking is easy. The manager is incredibly nice! And, keep in mind that the price does regularly change based on the market!! The name needs to be updated online! In maps and on google it still says Boiling Crawfish instead. The food was delicious, we got a bowl of crab, shrimp, and crawfish in the house sauce at level 3 spicy (out of 5). It was meant for about 3 people (exactly how many we had), but we could have used a bit more crab. I'd recommend getting an extra side to fill you up. It felt a little pricey, but honestly no more than everywhere else has been going up. About $90 for 3 people including the tip and taxes, but with mostly waters and nothing extra. Very good and very quick though, also very patient as we waited 20minutes for our last person to show up. read more

I was really craving seafood and this place was conveniently close to me during dinner time. My boyfriend did not want to eat here but I kept convincing him. Honestly, the flavor of the food was not bad. However, I feared for my health while I was almost through with my meal. Let's just say I am really curious what score the health department gave them. The kitchen has the back door wide open, inviting all the bugs and insects to help themselves. The kitchen door was open and I can see through the kitchen into backyard. The restaurant literally has more flies than customers in the dining area. There were swarms of flies flying in the middle of the restaurant. These shrimps were the juiciest shrimp I had from a crab boil restaurant. Flavoring was ok. Not the best I've tried. The spicy level was not as spicy as most. To me the medium was like a mild. Maybe they're spicy would have been a medium for the other crab boil restaurants I frequent. Restaurant - You can always tell how clean a restaurant is by how well they maintain their restrooms. This was why I took away two stars. The restroom smelled like a port-a-potty. I was disgusted. Then to make it worth there was no paper towels. My wife confirmed the same for the women's restroom. Since it's Covid and the restaurant capacity was probably only quarter of its maximum, I would think that they can do a better job keeping it clean. Road tripping and decided to stop by Kent, WA to try this place out! First off, ambience was welcoming, clean and safe, and service was awesome at inputting suggestions when asking about the sauces I should get for my crawfish. They also provided a bib and gloves. I was going to go for the Louisiana Boil, but if you're going for that direction, go to Louisiana for that haha. The waitress suggested to go with the House Special Sauce (Garlic+butter+seasoning) instead since it was the most popular especially with the special seasoning. I'm so glad she suggested it, cause wow it was perfectly savory, buttery, fragrant with the insane-good amount of chopped garlic, and they put a sufficient amount of spice for that perfect kick. I chose a medium spice level which they did well since it wasn't too painful to eat but gave enough kick with the sauce. I was pretty proud of myself since my spice tolerance had been weak of late recently haha. They put enough sauce as well to dip/dunk your food in. Each pound of seafood you choose, you also get one potato and corn with the boil which I thought was awesome. The raw oysters were definitely fresh, and had a sweet/salty start in the first bite then ended with a briny and umami taste. It met my seafood desires and I wish I got more! As for the PO BOY soft-shell crab sandwich, the bread reminded me of Vietnamese loaf breads which made it so crisp and went well with the fried crab. So good.
