7/29/2026 Me, my husband and my 19month old baby came 5 minutes after they opened. We've been super excited to come and eat some seafood boil and having to wait till 3pm till they opened, we were starving! We were sat down very quickly and the waiter took our pretty fast too being that we were the first ones in. Our order: Combo #3 with added sausage with no spicy house special sauce Kids chicken tenders with fries Shrimp fried rice 1 order of asian bread 1order of steamed rice Total $130 We've been to this location 3 other times and the experience and food were all terrific! Unfortunately this time we left pretty dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of the food. Me and my husband always peel and crack open the shrimp and crab first before we start eating just so it gives us some time to let our baby's food cool down for a bit. We finally got it all cracked, peeled and opened when we finally got a taste of the crab and it was SUPER SUPER SALTY. In total me and my husband ate 1 crab leg each and left the rest, and we never ever have leftover crab typically. Our crab batch was just so inedible that we didn't even take it with us to go. The chicken tenders and fries were good, can never go wrong with that and my daughter loved them! The shrimp fried rice was also good but the shrimp seemed a bit rubbery, but we took it home and decided to just take the shrimp off. With having to spend $130 and not getting to eat both the crab from the expensive boil and the shrimp from the fried rice I'd give this experience a 2, we specifically went here to have the boil but ended up not eating pretty much any of the crab. When I asked the waiter why the crab was so salty he said they they add salt to keep it fresh, but the fact that it was severely salty kind of wondering how much salt did they have to use to keep this specific batch fresh? I'm not sure if we're planning on coming back but I hope the next batch is better for everyone else! read more

Dropped in here for a friends dad's birthday dinner. We were a party of 10. We placed orders of three combo 3's, three BYO, two shrimp poboys, two orders of catfish and several alcoholic drinks, and soft drinks. Don't forget the garlic bread. It took them some time ot get our food which I understand but I was highly disappointed in the garlic bread,, TBH it was just bread with butter and actual parmesan cheese on top of it.. It wasn't melty, it wasn't crispy.. it was just limp. Then when I asked for it to be retoasted they tried but it was a waste and for like $6 for some bread I expect more. Despite it was a bit expensive, we enjoyed it. The taste was on point and it did make us crave carbs with it. We ordered extra garlic noodles and some cheese bread. We liked all the seafood on there except the crab legs. The crab legs were too salty and you could tell it was previously frozen. Wish we didn't order the combo that came with it. I recommend ordering a combo with what you like and add addition crawfish, shrimp or mussels to it if you're not a fan of crab legs. It probably will be cheaper considering the crab legs were the most expensive part of the combo. Service was good, but they were super busy so we did flag them down a few times. We decided to try Crawfish Chef in Puyallup. My daughter placed her family's order and her parents order also. She received a message from said establishment stating that, The order was canceled. We decided to give them another chance. Well, we waited five to ten minutes then , reordered. Once again we waited,​ then received another message from the restaurant : Order Canceled. Never an explanation, apology, nothing. Needless to say we will never patronize nor recommend this establishment to anyone, weather it be for dine-in or carry out . Crawfish Chef has large seating areas and was able to accommodate our party. The servers were nice and checked on us a few times, which was great because we ordered a few more pounds of shrimp and crawfish on top of our tray. Their house sauce was delicious. I tasted both the mild and hot sauce and loved them both. The restaurant is well maintained, including the bathroom. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves and will be bringing our families back here. read more

I think it tastes the SAME as LIVE crawfish which I had in China. We did the crawfish, shrimp and crab and clams- no spice butter and garlic so the house It was not real butter it was more of an oil- which for some can cause upset stomach The clams tasted off- I had to spit them out and stopped trying after two- first one thought fluke but then the second one tasted bad too- so I was worried might be bad batch etc. The corn was good, potatoes were almost raw The shrimp was ok, crab ok, the crawfish was rubbery. My gf was nice enough to go pick up an order from this location for our girls seafood boil night and I finally got the try the place my friends rave about. I got the shrimp with the house sauce and it was delicious. Came with corn and potato. I wish I got to try some of the sweet potato fries, but we decided it wouldn't be good as take-out. Fish sauce wings were delicious and still crispy by the time we had it at home. Will definitely order again! One of my friends wanted live crawfish, but they only had frozen. Came here with my husband and upon arrival, we were instantly greeted and seated immediately. The waiter was super fast to get us our water which I appreciated and also time to figure out what we wanted. My husband and I ended up doing the combo one with lemon garlic sauce and spicy. The food was pretty good, i wish the sauce had a little more flavor, but that's my only complaint really. Shrimp & Crawfish were very well cleaned and did not taste fishy or sandy. We were craving a good seafood spot! We heard of this place & decided to give it a try. I really liked the sauce (Cajun) that this crab boil place has. Everything tasted pretty good & the portions were great. We ended up getting Calamari & fries, and the fries are to die for. It took a while for the to take our order but it's okay. It would have been nice to been served fresh food versus a pan of garbage. I ordered 1 lb shrimp with heads on and 1 lb green mussels. The food was bland and chewy. I ate 2 mussels my third I started to eat and gagged. I had to spit it out into a napkin. I took the mussels and put them all into a pile. The potatoes were so bland even with the sauce all over it. I tried to eat the shrimp and ended up losing my appetite. Sadly, I only ate a small handful of my dinner and ended up leaving the rest of it. The dinner wasn't cheap. The wait person never once asked how was everything. He asked once if we needed anything once he dropped off the order. I left the Crawfish Chef extremely disappointed. I also felt taken advantage of because they served me a pile of garbage and they knew that their food was subpar and they had the audacity to charge me top dollar for it. Service: Staff is friendly, attentive, and overall great. Food: We could've just had a one off experience, considering I've gone to their other locations but we were extremely disappointed by the quality of seafood during this visit. Especially having ordered one of the most expensive packages on the menu, you would expect fresh, quality seafood if you're spending well over $300 for just two to eat with a recommended combo. Our shrimp and scallops were fine but the crab and mussels tasted like bleach....which is an indicator of either spoiled seafood or really unsafe handling practices when it's near expiration. Just be wary and order small amounts of seafood if you do visit this location. However, fried rice and wings were great and something to order if you do venture here.. Cost: The prices seem to be above market value and have definitely increased since I last visited one of their franchise locations. Which I do find to be higher than that of Pier88 and other similar seafood broil restaurants. I would not recommend the combos, as I've stated above some of the seafood may not be fresh. read more

I really do enjoy going to crawfish chef once in a while for dinner. The pricing tends to lean on the more pricier side and although they seem to use frozen seafood, in my opinion it's pretty high quality. When you look at the menu it looks like there's a lot of variety but it seems to taste the same every time haha. I wish the flavors they have for their boil were more unique, I've tried every flavor they have and they all taste pretty much the same. So I think there could be improvements on that. I don't have much to say about any of their other food items other than their seafood combos, but I do want to rave about their wings. Those are some prettyyy tasty wings, my favorite flavor to get is the fish sauce. I know you would never put fish sauce and chicken wings in the same sentence, but trust me, in vietnam that is everybody's favorite dish. All in all, nice to get once in a while. Would like to see more variety in their dishes. The staff is so fun and every time I have went, has always been attentive. The hosts however usually tend to stay on their phones or not even know much about the place they are working at. We have been here numerous times now and everytime we come back, we have a great experience each time. I'm not really into spicy things, but I can tolerate their medium house sauce. We usually get the combo with crab legs, shrimp (head on), corn, potatoes, and mussels. The mussels are huge and the crab legs are meaty. The house sauce I must say is the best one we've tried. My husband one evening ordered a 13 out of 10 spicy sauce on the side. Yes! There is such a thing and I do believe the 13 is the their strongest. So if you are into extra spice, ask for some extra on the side. All their waiters are great. They are all super friendly and attentive. For drinks - I usually get their lychee drink (alcoholic) - which is very tasty! The bathrooms are clean and they provide extra soap to wash your hands afterwards. My kids love this place too, the experience is great and the food is delicious. We are definitely becoming regulars here. read more

I have been wanting to try this place out for a long time now. I didn't know where it was located until we stumbled upon it one day. I ordered the Combo 3 (snow crab and shrimp with head on, with two small potatoes and two small pieces of corn) with two stars. It was $50 and a decent portion. I wasn't able to find an updated accurate menu so I called and asked how much it would cost. The lady was pretty nice. I also ordered two sides of rice (not included). I took my best friend here tonight for our first crawfish boil! We had Kon as our server. He provided amazing service tonight. Will definitely be returning to this location just to see if he is working. We ordered the combo number 5, 3 star with extra potatoes corn and eggs. I absolutely loved it and so did my friend. If you want a variety seafood this is the place to go. The prices are based off market. Words just don't describe how good the food is. You just have to see for yourself. I do wish they would check on you, for example I had my water empty an I had wave down a different waiter to tell our waiter to fill our drinks. Came to eat dinner this evening around 7 PM with my family & I. The service was great, friendly, and very attentive. Communication is well and overall a welcoming environment. We ordered the butter garlic cajun with 5* spice with shrimp clams crawfish and snow crab. Also came with potato and corn. Sausage is separate. Appetizers garlic noodles and shrimp egg rolls. Fried chicken and fries. Drinks Thai ice tea. Food came out prompt and hot. They provided many thing already where you don't have to constantly have to ask for them.
