We came here for a business lunch on the recommendation of a friend who lives locally. On a beautiful day you can sit outside and enjoy the water. This is a casual place, but the food is quality. We got the fish and chips, which were perfectly crispy. The black cod miso was superb. Very fresh and light and flaky and flavorful. We also got the lobster roll. It definitely rivals a lobster roll from the east coast. The service was great. They took care of everything well. This isn't fancy, but it's just a good seafood place for friends, business or families.

Good seafood with nice views. Enjoyed the Cedar Plank Alaskan Sockeye, Fresh Blackened Rockfish Tacos and Raspberry, Lime, Mint mocktail. Requested the Salmon to be blackened which they did and it was delicious. Very good and attentive service.

Looking for a date night ideas, here one to check out in Tacoma We were at The Fish Peddler today and love everything about it. Fresh seafood, great happy hour specials, friendly service, unbeatable value, and beautiful waterfront views. Beautiful stroll along the 1.9-mile Thea Foss Waterway Esplanade for marina views, public art, and an unforgettable sunset. Great food, a scenic walk, and quality time. Sometime that's all you need. #FishPeddler #TacomaEats #TacomaFoodies #DateNight #HappyHour #WaterfrontDining #TheaFoss #SupportLocal #SeafoodLover #HiddenGem #PNWEats #ExploreTacoma

Fantastic food, the fish and chips were perfect, and reasonably priced. The summer salad with salmon added was a little expensive but the wife enjoyed it so that's what matters. Service was a little slow, but they were kinda busy so I get it. Will definitely be back for more oysters and fish, yum!

I love it here!! My family and i all got such yummy food and everyone was happy with their order. I got the cioppino and it was so awesome and the waitress* was hyping me up because i was so excited and had never tried it before. We sat inside but the restaurant is on the waterfront it's so pretty! We also got the oyster sandwich, seafood dip, clam chowder, lobster roll, and fettuccine. All delish!! *i wish i got the waitresses name she was so so sweet and patient and helpful and fun to talk to!! Thank you (:

My Sagittarius sisters brought me here to celebrate my birthday, and it was such a great choice. I don't know if it was the timing or the terrible weather outside, but there was literally no wait. We walked right in and were seated immediately, which was honestly amazing. One of my friends ordered the Dungeness crab and shrimp Louie salad, and it looked really good. She said it was delicious and the portion size was generous. I was really craving soup, so I went with the blackened salmon BLT and a cup of chowder. The chowder was so good. The salmon was tasty too -- it did have a slightly fishy taste, but nothing that ruined it for me. Another friend ordered the cioppino, which is more of a stew, and it was really good. She let all of us try it, and it had a great flavor and a nice-sized portion. What really stood out was that it wasn't cream-based, which was perfect because she has a pretty extreme lactose intolerance. It's not always easy for her to find menu options like that, so this was a really nice surprise. Overall, the food, service, and experience were great, and it made for an awesome birthday dinner. I'd definitely come back again.

My broad loves seafood and I had been wanting to try this place, and I'm glad we did! Sweet location near the water in downtown T-Town. I had the Cioppino and she had the Steamed Mussels. Both were great, the tomato broth in the Cioppino was particularly fantastic. I will be back I'm sure!

Mussels - so good!! Our favorite thing we tried on the new menu

The new menu is good We loved the mussels and shared the halibut & chips, which were very tasty (needed a touch more salt) but so great to sit outside and have a view! I do think the new menu is a game changer and we will back for sure. Absolutely recommend to give it a try!!! Thank you Kat for your amazing service- appreciate you!!!

They were very accommodating and allowed us to sit with a group of 11 without prior notice. The clam chowder was good and their cocktails were all great! The service was adequate and I'd go back for the views.

The ambience was great and service was good. We started with the calamari which was good. I ordered the fish and chips which wasn't anything spectacular but the salmon sandwich was delicious!!

The seafood dip is a must order! My husband and I started our meal off with the seafood dip appetizer which I highly recommend. It's creamy, cheesy, and has a decadent seafood flavor which comes with toasted bread to dip or scoop it in. He ordered the fish and chips, 3 piece halibut with fries, and I had the coconut prawns which came with coleslaw and fries on the side. The coconut prawns were perfect crispy and came with a sort of sweet honey mustard like sauce on the side. The portions were good, 8 medium pieces of prawns plus the fries. I didn't particularly like the coleslaw, it wasn't on the fresh side. The staff were friendly and attentive. They have Seattle soda on their fountain which I like a local pop. They have a handful of TVs inside playing sports, and they have regular booth, table, and bar seating. It's located by the water, sort of in a backstreet industrial area by it has a large parking lot that also leads to a waterfront walking strip.

Was staying nearby for a concert for the weekend and this place was so solid, I took my friends and went a second time the next day lol Between the two visits, I tried - clam chowder - super solid, got this two days in a row lol - salad + grilled chicken - tasted fine I just needed some vegetables - green bean tempura - the half order was so big and the green beans were actually pretty good - nachos - also surprisingly large portion, decent - lobster Mac and cheese - nice and creamy, would eat again Servers were friendly, space is large. It's right by the water so it's nice to walk along the water for a digestion walk afterwards!

Our waiter was attentive, kept our water glasses full throughout the meal, and boxed up our leftovers for us without us even having to ask. My partner ordered the Cajun Seafood Pasta ($28), and it was absolutely delicious. It was rich, full of flavor, and seasoned really well. I ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll ($42), which came with warm lobster on a buttery roll and a side of house-made potato chips. The lobster was tender, and the buttery flavor really made the sandwich stand out. We also took a slice of the peanut butter pie ($14) to go, and it was incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with peanut butter flavor. A perfect dessert if you're a peanut butter lover. The only thing I'd love to see is a few more non-alcoholic drink options, but it definitely didn't take away from an overall excellent experience. We'd happily come back and would recommend giving this place a try!

Throughout the evening, she checked on us several times to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The food is absolutely fantastic. We love the seafood fried rice, which is packed with flavor, and one of our favorite dishes is the crawfish boil with head-on shrimp, tossed in the 2-star house sauce. The spice level is just right, and the lemon pepper adds a delicious kick. Since our first visit, we have returned many times and have also ordered takeout on numerous occasions. Every meal has been consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Crab & More has quickly become one of our favorite seafood spots. The prices vary depending on what you order. The seafood fried rice is around $20 and is a great value. When we go all out and order a four-item seafood boil, it can be around $225 for two people. Dungeness crab is currently around $65 per pound, while snow crab and king crab are typically more expensive. Even with the higher cost of premium seafood, the quality, portions, flavors, and service make it worth the visit.

There was nothing on the menu that was vegan aside from (maybe) a green salad. That made things difficult for me, but I made do. My daughter who is a young teenager, ordered off the children's menu because none of the fancier meals appealed to her. She thoroughly enjoyed her seasonal fruit. However, that spaghetti was not typical spaghetti marinara--and she did not enjoy it. I think she took about three bites before giving up. On the other hand, the birthday girl ordered the fish tacos and loved them. It was clear she really really enjoyed them. The waiter was quite nice and it was a beautiful day to sit out on the patio. The location really can't be beat. I recommend surveying the menu and making certain that you can find something you'll enjoy prior to heading to the restaurant. It's definitely a nice place. Today was supposed to be a quick, light stop after work: shrimp cocktail, a couple drinks, and some time in the old Harbor Lights bar. Walking in, I was immediately reminded of one of my biggest frustrations with this space. Yes, it's small--but the outdated tables and chairs make it far too easy for people to block the walkways. And when those walkways are filled with loud, inappropriate, "stuck-in-1976" commentary from intoxicated older men acting like they're still in their 20s, it makes navigating the room even more uncomfortable. At one point, we were stuck sitting there listening to them loudly joke about having female urologists and proctologists--one word: GROSS. Speaking up doesn't feel like a safe or worthwhile option--it just escalates things. The bar could absolutely keep its charm while still evolving into a more comfortable, modern, and inclusive space. Then there's the menu situation--multiple menus stacked in front of you like a paper shuffle. It's unnecessary and could easily be streamlined. Now, the drinks... this is where things really fell off. Harbor Lights used to be known for strong drinks--that reputation feels long gone. I ordered a vodka-based drink and it went down like juice--no taste, no kick, nothing. When I asked for a double on the second round, the bartender laughed and said all their drinks are doubles and that they don't measure, claiming there was 2 1/2 oz of liquor in it. We watched him make it: no measuring, just a free pour over ice, stopping well short of the top, then filling it with rhubarb-strawberry purée. When it arrived, it felt more dropped on the table than served. I gave it a fair shot--a big sip--and again... no vodka taste whatsoever. No burn, no effect. I know my liquor, and this didn't add up. It really makes you question what's actually being poured. And then... the shrimp cocktail. How do you mess this up? This was the one thing I could always count on. It's always been unique and consistently good--but this time? Way too much horseradish. Completely threw off the balance. I still ate it, but it was not the same experience at all. Overall, this visit was disappointing. Between the uncomfortable atmosphere, lackluster drinks, and a once-reliable favorite falling short, Harbor Lights just isn't what it used to be.
