    Strawberry Margarita
    Akilah B.

I went for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Food: I had the Portage Park Fries and they were good! I would order them again. Drinks: I had a Strawberry Margarita and it was good. The Lemon drop shot was good as well. Service: Claudia was a great Bartender and provided good service! Atmosphere: It was chill with the NBA games on and good music in the background. I would return and I do recommend it.

Have passed by this place. Multiple times. Finally decided to schedule a meeting with the Co-worker and boy was not disappointed. Great Service variety of drinks, and the food was delicious. The only disappointment was the portion of the food for take up. Ordered the pecan chicken salad was huge as served at the table. Ordered one to go and it seemed. It was half the size for the same price. Definitely a cozy place with TVs and good atmosphere to try definitely enjoyable, and will be back.

Had an enjoyable late night dinner at this bar. We were fresh off Happy Hour and needed some food to soak up the booze. I ordered the Pesto Grilled Chicken Sandwich with tots. Tots were hot and yummy. The sandwich was good but my bottom bread was soggy. I am unsure how this happen. However the sandwich was good. My husband ordered Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich and this was fantastic. For drinks, I ordered the frozen Mai Tai. So good. I could drink that all afternoon in the summer. Would come back.

Just had the best experience here! We had the best server/bartender-Kate-she literally manned the whole bar single handily slinging drinks and serving every table. Very impressive. My mom and I came in for a quick din and some cocktails. It was SO good! We had cheesesteak egg rolls with white queso dipping sauce. We also had mini burgers with raw onions. It was some if the best bar food I have ever had. The service was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Great open windows, nice patio in front, and tv's make it a great soot for what you want. The food is solid public grub, and the drinks are yum yum. It's just off Milwaukee ave, so you may miss it.

The potential is there, they were rated high on Google but I have to question it. The food was subpar, I ordered the fish and chips. The fish came out hot but the fries were cool. I wanted to drink, but after seeing the taller bartender wipe her nose with the back of her hand, while holding a Guinness. Then give the drink to a patron, I decided not too. Will not visit again. My friend got the Mac and cheese sandwich, subpar and basic.

Crawford's is a nice local gastropub. I went on a weekday so I can't speak on game days but had a very chill atmosphere. They have a nice selection of local brews spanning a variety of beer styles. The spirit choices were diverse as well. Bar staff was really attentive. They have bar classics to eat but also some more interesting options like the SurfNturf burrito!

Stopped in because we were in the area and hungry. It's a nice spot & looks like the neighborhood hangout for drinks and bar bites. We were serviced right away. Decided on the flautas and the Philly egg rolls. Flautas we're pretty decent, but the texture was different. They include potatoes in the filling. While I appreciate the potato I feel like it made the flautas one note. Everything was soft, like a dumpling. I didn't care for the egg rolls at all. I plan to go back to see what other offerings may be better.

A group of us came here last night after going to Axe Throwing in Portage Park not far away. The staff is easily some of the nicest and most helpful people, ever! Very attentive and friendly. We were also celebrating one of our friend's birthdays so we brought a cake and they were able to put it away in their fridge until we were ready for it. They were also very accommodating. Since we had such a large group, they had to rearrange a bunch of tables and chairs and they were able to do it with no problem. We ordered a ton of food and drinks and they still let us split our bill into as many checks as we wanted which most restaurants don't do or don't like doing. One of the waitresses even cut the cake for us and packaged it up to go when we were done. I can't really vouch for the food but there were mixed reviews among our group. Some said that their food was just OK, others really liked it. So I guess it depends on what you get. I had the Beef and Barley soup and it was not bad but I just recently had surgery so I can't consume much food right now. So I only took 2 half spoon bites. They actually took it off my bill which was really nice. My friends seemed to REALLY like the beer and were getting refills all night. All in all, very cool bar that was clean with excellent wait staff and a friendly, warm welcoming.

The mushroom and kale pie was nice and cheesy and the rocking vegan pie was more savoury, with a variety of vegetables and chickpeas as stuffing. The crust was neither too soft nor too crunchy. The highlight of the meal was the curry chips: potato wedges lightly fried with masala and curry leaves. The dipping sauce that came with the chips reminded me of tikka masala sauce, and paired beautifully with the chips. Dessert was toffee pudding: the caramel sauce that came with the pudding was delectable - the pudding itself was excellent and not overly sweet. We tried a variety of NA beers, and I was pleased with how many options they had. Service was quick, and we were well looked after. The ambiance is warm, with dim-ish lighting and a lot of dark wood. The restrooms were gorgeous - special shoutout to the lovely floral wallpaper. Overall, I highly recommend Pleasant House - the vibe is chill and understated and the food is stellar.

The sausage was very tasty, the breading on the outside was incredibly crisp, light, and the egg inside was cooked well. Both the steak pie and the chicken pie were very good. The chicken pie I think really needed the chutney that you can get separately. But that made it so much better and made it my preferred pie. The steak and ale pie was better than the chicken pie as a standalone, but needed a bit more gravy I think to elevate it. Sticky toffee pudding again was delicious. Surprisingly light, not overly dense so I was glad it came with the custard which was very flavorful. Overall, will definitely return!

I had been wanting to try Industry Ales when it opened and was glad to have had the opportunity to finally check it out! I was slightly thrown off, as the dining tables are at the front of this space, and the bar is all the way at the back. In fact, my friend at first glance thought it was a sit-down dining establishment sans bar seating. We found our way to the bar and posted up at two seats. We were offered menus right away and found the bartender extremely knowledgeable. This was super helpful when facing down an encyclopedia of ales. He offered samples when we explained what we were looking for. That is service above and beyond, especially on a bustling Friday early evening. The brews were tasty, but I couldn't really discern what I was drinking apart to say it was a lighter Belgian Ale. Wine is more in my wheelhouse, but always good to change things up, especially when a person has the opportunity to be guided by an expert. The people seated nearby had ordered the tuna tartare which looked delicious. In fact, all of the menu is globally influenced (think: pizza samosas, pierogis, Korean BBQ) in addition to the classic brewpub favorites. In addition to the Brewpub, this location features the Millroom, a speakeasy-style lounge. I did not have a chance to check that out on this visit. Definitely a cut above the usual sports bar and a place to expand one's knowledge of brews.

Whiskey fans, you'll love the huge selection along with the impressive beer selection. Yelp should really hype this as a whiskey bar, too. It more than qualifies. The cuisine is phenomenal. Definitely a place to bring a large party on your first visit, so you can sample a multitude of wonderful creations. Pro Tip: if you can tolerate a large quantity of fish, visit on a Wednesday for their AYCE Fish & Chips. I've had many hum drum AYCE dinners that are drab and only fill you up. Not this one. It's a great meal and a great deal. The Shepherd's Pie was fabulous, as was the Bangers and Mash. They've created a Haggis Burger that has to appease Americans, yet, still be haggis. A tall order since most would hate "true" haggis. Fear not, it's not your grandfather's haggis, it is a tasty burger. The fries were great but I'd recommend the Tattie Skins. We tasted so many different malts it was hard to pick a favourite. No foolin' they had island malts, highland malts, speyside and even a couple from the lowlands. Easy to spend over two hours in this public house. We did. Can't wait to get back to this town. This is a must! 02/26
