In Spring of 2023 they installed the incorrect gasket type for my JL Wrangler. They put the JK Wrangler gasket on the engine instead of the new 2018 JL engine head gasket. My trailer hitch stripped off on the highway and these guys stopped everything on a Friday evening, 40 min before closing, to get the hitch bolted back to the frame. This is a message I got from Crawler after I posted my last review. And after I lost $800 becuase they didn't finish job in time. When I dropped it off I asked if it would be an issue and was told no problem they had over 2 weeks to replace 6 bushings and as you can see I was told it was done on Friday how ever when I picked it up on Thursday 3 weeks later NONE of the work was done NONE!! Beware if you take some thing here they don't answer there phone they don't give you a price and they don't care. I can have friends post positive reviews too to drive up my ratings but I rely on actual service. They outright lied to me did nothing but cost me money and had my Jeep for 3 weeks and did nothing to it!!!! Worst service I have ever had any where in my life. I should sue you for the job you cost me but I will just write it off and never go back and let anyone I know about my experience with them. We have been going to Crawler for about five years now. Stan and his son are honest and fair. They helped us when we broke down 8 miles off road (drove us back there and fixed a broken sway bar/tie rod) then followed us out back to their shop and finished up. We live in Carlsbad and every time we need our Dodge truck serviced we drive up to Crawler and have them work on it. Every time its worth the drive. Our latest is we broke another piece of our front end off roading in Baja. They instantly sent out the piece we needed and even called to follow up to make sure we got it. They care! read more

Went to get a quote on a simple 1988 jeep and the owner said he couldn't work on my jeep because the the engine cab was taken apart inside. The only thing left inside was the engine itself. I asked if he could rebuild the engine cab from bottom up, he said no and it would be too much a problem and would cost approx. $7,500 just to do that!! That's including $2,000 for a Howell fuel injector kit that costs $1,200. I'm going somewhere else...i told you I didn't care the price but you complained it would be too much work to have to go to junk yards and find parts. I wanted a complete rebuild I told you time and money want the factor, and still refused to take on the project.. good luck! read more

Don't get me wrong, these mechanics really know everything there is to know about Jeeps. However, I was given an amount to pay in the beginning, $440 (I also supplied the major parts), only to come back to a large bump to about $650. I had no issue paying the remaining amount, but had they notified me of what they were doing before they just decided to charge me, I'd been alot less frustrated. What if I didn't have the money for that, what would've happened then? Good mechanical service, bad communications. read more
