Best falafel in NJ, not even kidding, this family run middle eastern and possibly Pakistani Indian influenced cuisine pinches way above its strip mall class! The freshly made falafel, lamb & chicken shawarma, and perfectly executed dishes have made this the go to lunch spot that also delivers on Grubhub. The only thing I could ask for is less salt in the babaganouj but otherwise 5 of 5 stars! Also they bake their own pitas i believe, and they are the tastiest pitas ever!!! Never had a bad meal here ever in the dozens of visits I've made, highly recommended!

My husband and I wanted Chicken Shawarma Pita's for dinner but our usual spot was closed. I found Crazy 4 Falafel on Yelp and I'm so glad I did! The Chicken Shawarma Pita was so flavorful! The hot sauce was very hot but I did enjoy it. The Jerusalem platter had a nice selection of different things and everything was delicious! I wish it came with additional pita. I'll definitely be ordering from here again.

I was not terribly impressed with Crazy 4 Falafel $17 and change for 2 Falafel Sandwiches to go. The Falafel was very good, crispy and very flavorful as was the vegetables. The pickled cabbage was fantastic. The sandwich needed some hummus or extra tahini, as it was a bit dry. Speaking of dry, the folks running the counter offer very little in terms of conversation or personality. If you visit I recommend taking your order to go, the store isn't attractive nor is it very clean. The Sandwich was good but I wouldn't be in a rush to go back.

Located right off the New Durham exit off I287, this would have been an ideal pitstop to grab something quick to eat. With falafel being their signature dishes, we ordered a couple falafel pita sandwiches on this first visit. It took 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, the sign instructed to wait outdoors once order is placed. This is a first as far as COVID prevention measures, but I treated it as a positive. Hand sanitizers were on the order counter as well as at multiple tables. Plexiglass sheets were hang and masks were worn. You certainly feel safe to order food here. As for the falafel sandwiches - the pitas were toasted perfectly and the toppings were fresh mix of red cabbage, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers. The optional tatziki sauce was good, make sure you ask for it. The price was on point. The only issue we had was actually the falafel itself. For some reason, all of us experienced something undesirably hard on the bite. That's actually a serious downer. I'm giving it a generous 4 star rating. I'm actually looking forward to trying their shawarma dishes next time I pass by the area.

This place is small but amazing. Got the pita with lamb shawarma, chicken shawarma platter, chicken kebab pita, side of seasoned fries. It was all delicious and was super cheap. Great place and nice staff!

Falafel is a tricky item to order and have to keep an open mind to the interpretation of this food. It was listed under Middle Eastern in Uber Eats but feel it was more of a Pakistani Indian version of falafel. My father from Jordan was visiting and threw off his palette but in the end a good way and new experience for us all. Every region has their own take on Falafel and this was not the true chick pea based with green filling. This was very spicy and more Indian influence fusion. The same for the hummus and baba gananoush lots of garlic over powering flavor. The grape leaves did not taste fresh more canned. The baklava was good though tasted more authentic. The basmati rice had a kick to it and the chicken was more tandoori as well. The garnish salad was different too with a pickled cabbage with cucumber and lettuce. Also accompanied with lots of sauces-tzatziki was more heavy yogurt labneh then traditional , green cilantro sauce and traditional tahini. The item that was different was the Kibbeh with tahini which tasted like meat tho, but it was not meat not sure what it was, and the phyllo feta dough sticks.

The definition of a hidden gem Not gonna lie when you first roll up to this place your going to get some sketchy vibes. It def does not look the part and is not really done up a whole lot but don't judge a book by its cover. We found this place on yelp because we wanted to eat something before meeting some friends at top golf. We took a chance on this place because we love trying new things. So glad we took a chance on this place and tried what they had because we can't wait to go back. It's very very authentic and it's something you really can't get anywhere else. If you love trying new things you have to stop in and get the falafel they have there.

Came to this place randomly. Had the chicken shawarma plate. It was excellent. Most delicious chicken shawarma and rice in the area.

Soup was a bit bland, again. Price has gone up. Take out soup size is smaller. Chicken a bit dryer.

Decent falafel sandwiches. The falafel is crisp, full of flavor and fried fresh! Becoming one of my regular spots.

As a person who loves Cava and Mezeh, I thought Hummus Republic was going to be another iteration…read moreof those. Instead, I was left with much to be desired. When I arrived on a late Wednesday afternoon, the place was empty. The guy working behind the counter was sitting there eating food behind the counter as I walked in the door. This occurred in close proximity to where the food is that they serve. That should've been my sign to leave, but I wanted to give this place a chance. I ordered a bowl with a base of rice and spinach. I got two different types of hummus and another dip which I assume is their version of the crazy feta they have at Cava. I asked what the most popular protein choice was and I was told the chicken schwarma so I got that. I got a bunch of different vegetables and topped it off with tzatziki sauce. I paid around $15 for my food. When I got home and ate my food, I was highly disappointed. Everything lacked flavor to me, even the meat, dips, and sauce. The corn looked like it came from a can. The chicken also had a weird appearance to it. I know it was bad because I was literally STARVING from barely eating anything all day and I had to throw it away after a few bites. Usually when I'm super hungry, things that taste merely okay are edible enough for me to finish. That was not the case here. Disappointed, I still had to go out and get something else to eat. This was my first time here, but I don't see myself returning. The service wasn't the greatest either. The staff who was working there didn't seem interested in trying to help me with any suggestions as I stood there taking forever to decide what I wanted. I guess he just wanted me out the door so he could get back to his food. Another thing I'd like to note is that most times when you visit these assembly-line type of fast casual spots, there's usually multiple people behind the counter and you can see things being prepared right in front of you. That was not the case here. I don't even know if there was anyone in the back preparing food or replenishing items throughout the day.

Two of my friends were in from out of state and of course, when in Jersey you have to get PIZZA! I'm not unfamiliar with this area but all my favorite pizzerias are at least 15 mins away, so I wanted to get them something closer to their hotel. I saw the good rating and heard from a friend that it was good so I landed on Brooklyn Boys. We order garlic knots, white pizza, & vodka margherita. The garlic knots were so dry they were stored in a pizza box. I felt these were more like garlic dinner rolls. The garlic knots I know are soaked in a buttery garlicky oil, these weren't that. The white pizza was good but again, a bit dry. I would have liked more ricotta all over under the mozzarella. It also just didn't have much oil, which I understand is a preference. I know some people who blot their pizza to get some grease off, I'm not one of those people. In fact, I once went to a pizzeria where they give you flavored oil with your pizza to enhance it, those are my people. I saved the best for last- the vodka margherita. The vodka sauce had a good flavor and there was a good amount, the fresh mozzarella paired nicely. Overall, I didn't feel like this was a good representation of Jersey pizza, or Brooklyn for that matter. For what it's worth my guests thought it was generally tasty and were happy, they said it was better than what they had in their respective states, although they too were very disappointed with the dinner rolls, ahem, "garlic knots".
