Muay Thai Coach Sebastian and I.
    Enrique G.

Currently training here at the Crazy88 Elkridge location. I do Muay Thai, BJJ, boxing, will start doing No-Gi BJJ this week, and hopefully wrestling soon too. Previously attended a different gym out in California but have learned faaaarr more in my time here than I did elsewhere. They have a variety of classes and are super beginner friendly. The coaches are all extremely knowledgeable and great teachers. The whole team is very nice and a pleasure to train with. And the gym gear is real nice too! Very good quality and look. This gym is the real deal. The team wins many competitions and the coaches work their students and motivate them to be their best whether it's at competitions or just hitting pads. All around great gym!

Ask the Community - Crazy 88 Mixed Martial Arts

I have a work schedule can change quite a bit from month to month. This would make getting into sessions some months difficult. Is there a way to pause the year contract during these times? Or will I be locked in paying without being able to attend?

You can place oh hold and if I'm not mistaken it'd only 20 bucks a month to do that

This gym focuses on building boxing technique the right way. Classes start with developing foot placement and form first. Since I'm not really a class or group instructed fitness type of person, I never really thought about this location too heavily. Then my trainer dropped out of heaven especially for me!! We train here on a regular basis and I love all of what the gym has to offer. I get a full and intense work-out each and every time I'm here. Kettle bells, suicides, boxing, you name it, I do it here. Every single staff member is friendly and helpful. Always speaking to you, encouraging/motivating you, joking with you and just providing excellent customer service. The gym offers classes for children, as well as adults. I can't give specifics on the classes offered, because I'm not exactly sure what they are, but I do know I see repeat clients. So whatever classes they have, keeps them coming back, week after week. An actual boxing ring is on one side and artificial turf is on another, with boxing bags and other equipment located throughout. I love it! It's a much different gym than I'm use too. I have a membership at another gym and I haven't been there since I started at Level Up. Note to self: CANCEL THE OTHER MEMBERSHIP! I don't feel intimidated, nor do I feel like all eyes are on me. Granted, there are many more men than women here, but everyone is here for a reason. They're here to either perfect their craft or get an awesome work-out. The staff does a great job in keeping the gym clean. The environment and staff is friendly. The energy they have can be contiguous. They offer a lot of workout options for kids, adolescent, and adults. They tend to have a lot of groups activities which cater to adults. Why my four stars. I think they could do a little more for the kids training. Since my children started they continue to keep them with the kids who are beginning. An issue for me since my kids have to restart the basic training which takes time from their training. They should keep the new incoming kids separated from the experienced. Once they catch up with the basic they can be included. Overall, I'll continue. It has help my girls in many positive ways. We might take a break but plan to continue in the future.

I went to the gym to inquire about their training (personal) and everything seemed okay. I asked about pricing and exceptions The man in the front explained everything however what was not posted or even stated was their agreement rules. I was told that upon signing up I would receive a call to set up a day and time with the trainer; 299 for 4 weeks one day a week. When I signed up it was the beginning of the month ( February 2nd) strike 1 did not receive a call to schedule until a week later, strike two could not match schedules so I asked them to cancel my membership and because we could not find something that matches our schedules and I never was given services to refund me. They said in their agreement that they do not do refunds. Where is the agreement posted in their gym, and it was never sent to me. I literally had to search their website to find information. I disputed the transaction within my bank and lost...ok fine but now they say I owe 65 after multiple emails telling them I want nothing to do with company is crazy. There wasn't anyone at the front desk but I overheard an explanation being provided of to someone so I listened in. The space is an open room with cubbies for your belongings and then a front desk area with some retail and a few hi top tables. The class started at 12:10 and is shown on the television. The workout itself is a circuit that gets you to all of the stations including some strength work, cardio and ends with abs. I loved the strength and ab work and the music. Other than that I didn't care for the combination of the television guide, the 4 different types of boxing bags (I prefer the aqua bag) or the bright lights during the workout. The set-up reminded me of orange theory which wasn't for me the few times I tried it. I think 7-8 stations going at once was also too distracting for me. The instructor was really nice and did his best to check in on everyone but it wasn't enough for me, I couldn't keep up with all the competing voices and movements. If you're seeking a fast paced full body workout you should check out this location.
