I don't care about people wearing masks but for others they did wear masks. The lady at the front desk was super kind and sweet(owners mother in law) The haircut itself was really good she even put a detangler in her hair which made it smooth for days. We will definitely be going back again and again my wife is even setting up an appointment for herself. CON: I only have one negative thing to say about our experience. It was the little bench she was sitting on to get her haircut it was not super safe or sturdy for a kid to sit on while getting their haircut. It even slid off with her on it at one point because the armrests are rounded. I could tell she was a little uneasy about sitting there at first on the bench thing. A plastic booster seat would of been so much safer and better for my child to sit in. Or something that actually clicked to the seat The experience overall was perfect for a four year old princess getting her hair cut.

Instead, they told me they couldn't proceed if I wasn't fully committed to the balayage. Then, they outright refused to provide me with any service. First, they blamed the confusion on hiring a new employee, but when the owner got involved, she refused to apologize. Instead, she boasted about running a successful business for eight years with 2,000 clients and went as far as telling me that I was no longer a customer--while I was still in the store. I left feeling humiliated and with the following questions: If the subtotal is $140, what is the total cost? (I was willing to pay up to $300, yet the website provides no clear pricing details.) Why was my time wasted when this could have been clarified over the phone? Was I refused service based on my appearance? How much does it cost to treat a customer with basic respect in front of the staff?

For starters.. I needed a hair cut. Badly. At this point, it was almost a year if not longer since…read moremy last cut. I used to be one of those people that insists that it's cheaper to do my own hair. Notice I said "used to be". Normally I'd bleach my hair at home, color it every couple weeks or month depending on what mood I was in. At one point, I even had dreadlocks. Which over the years & in the end.. took a nasty toll on my hair. I finally decided to let it be healthier & try to better my ways. This being, letting a professional handle it. Anyways, my cousin had told me about this salon - she has been coming here for a long time. I reached out to Tiffany for a consultation. Although embarrassed, I told her about all of my past & recent hair mistakes. I did want some coloring done - my hair was covered in dark box dye with some bright red underneath it somewhere. I knew my hair was damaged, but as a priority, still needed a cut regardless. She helped me make an appointment to visit as soon as possible. On arrival, I was greeted by her assistant Madie. Super nice & smiley - which I loved. She guided me to the chair & put my cape on. She even offered me a beverage. I was already loving this place. Tiffany greeted me shortly after - also, super nice & friendly. At this moment, I loved everyone's personalities. Tiffany cut my hair & Madie had washed and styled it. Both of the ladies were very informative & explained every step they did along the way. I left with a fresh do & an appointment for color! About a week later, I returned for color. A fresh balayage. Tiffany knew about the dark box dye & underlying red color on my hair. We went over a few photos I had picked out. Dissected them together, figuring out what would work best for me. I went into this journey knowing that we might not be able to lift my hair to be as light as I picked out - I was okay with that. I really appreciated the time they put into helping me understand everything. Madie & Tiffany both worked on my hair as a team & conquered it. In the end, with a few processes and treatments later.. we were able to get a fall inspired color (much lighter than anticipated). We named it "pumpkin chai". In the future, I can return to have it lightened further. For now & for fall tho.. I'm gonna leave it be. I'm very happy with my experiences at Vivid. Their knowledge and expertise is far beyond other salons. They're constantly furthering their skills whenever possible. Which is super important to me. Staying on top of current trends, colors or processes - is how you stay the best! I would recommend anyone to give them shot.
