I've been coming here for years and never experienced anything negative so it was about time I wrote a review. Wabi Sabi is great for dine-in and takeout. It's a lot smaller than the one near Jurupa Valley so if you have a larger party, you might need to sit at the front "table" or just separately from each other. Whenever I go to dine-in or takeout, the chef and the server are so friendly. They are very timely with orders (especially when you call in ahead of time) and always makes sure to offer me extra sauce...who doesn't love extra sauce! You can't go wrong with their dragon roll and baked salmon roll. Sooo good! I also love their fried rice, ramen, and their hibachi plates are pretty good too. It's been a staple in my community for years and it's clear why they're still here. I'll keep coming back for more. read more

Checked in recently for Japanese Fuerza refreshment Me Time and had an incredibly thorough and satisfying experience thanks to the Artfully Delicious and Romantically Fun Selection of the Wabi Sabi Menu! I went in brutally starving and malnourished from a crazy busy day at work and started my meal off with Hot Green Tea, Miso Soup, Lychee Iced Tea, and Fried Gyoza. For my main dish I selected their Red Moon Roll and paired it with a cold and satisfying Sapporo!!! Everything harmonized so well together and my Server Christian was very warm, attentive, and Stylishly interesting and fun to talk to! We always sit at the bar, and the sushi chef/owner is always so sweet as to greet and remember them. I have tried the steak and shrimp combo, which was too yummy, and the portions were great. I was full, and I had left over to take home. The last time, my boyfriend and I got salmon sashimi, the chirashi bowl, the crunchy roll, and some yummy sake. I am from Hawaii, and I would say I have had some quality sushi. While I enjoyed everything, the salmon sashimi and crunchy roll would be my faves. A delightful surprise in the neighborhood: After being disappointed by several overhyped 4.7-5-star businesses on Yelp and Google, I decided to stop trusting those ratings altogether. But I'm glad I gave this place a chance. The staff were attentive and took our orders right away ( a small thing, but it makes a big difference. The food came out promptly ) not rushed, but not neglected either. This spot is way better than the other so-called 5-star sushi restaurants I've tried. The salmon sashimi was fresh, tender, and slightly sweet. The menu also offers a great variety. We just moved here this year, and I'm thrilled there's actually a good sushi restaurant only two minutes away - right across from the Jack in the Box. We usually eat at the location in Jurupa Valley (on Pat't Ranch Road) that has the teppan but this one (which is the same owner is very good as well. We went here when the teppan location was closed and were very pleasantly surprised. The menu choices a slightly different, oriented a bit more for lunch and take out (with no teppan) but are just as tasty. Service was also very good and atmosphere was very nice. read more

Went to a Japanese dinner place in Eastvalle after picking up a friend and taking her back from the airport. We decided on coming to Wabi Sabi because it was close by and it was also open. The service here is nice and also the sushi chefs seem happy to be there. Overall we had a comfortable nice dinner here. The seating is just like that of an average local mom-and-pop store. So don't expect anything fancy. They get the food onto your table fast! Also, they do sell sake cold and hot varieties. We ordered a boat to share and man the rolls were filling. It's a small restaurant to dine in, so do expect seating to fill up quickly during rush hours. I have dined in and taken out, and both options work out well for me. The chef was super friendly and did not shorten us out when we asked for extra ginger! We ordered 6 rolls and an order of gyoza. The blue mountain roll was my favorite followed by the baked salmon roll and albacore delight. Every roll had its own flavor didn't taste the same one bit! Super fresh and good quality of fish. They didn't disappoint when it came to the rolls! The only complaint I would say is the batter is a little too thick for my liking on the tempura but overall amazing quality sushi! This was our first time at a Teppan restaurant and I can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed it. We came around 1230pm and we're seated right away (party of 3). The restaurant wasn't super busy, but had a good amount of people. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. They checked on us several times, we never needed refills, and they wanted to make sure we were enjoying our meals. We ordered the following: egg rolls and tempura scallops as appetizers, steak and shrimp with fried rice, shrimp yakisoba, chicken teriyaki with steamed rice, and a Mexican sushi roll. Everything was delicious and fresh. The meals came with soup or salad- and the food preparation was amazing. The chef was personable, funny and engaging, and he made the whole experience fun. Nice rolls and good selection of fish. They're still dialing in the menu but everything we wanted they had. Quality was not bad. Rolls could be a little tighter but I won't ding them during the soft opening. Flavor was all there. They've got some ramen too for those who aren't inclined to sushi. Sitting at a sushi bar after being trapped at home because of Covid was an absolute treat and the staff definitely made it a lovely experience. If you've been to Ojiya in Chino Hills you'll recognize one of the servers from there. We used to go there quite often so it's very nice to see a familiar face. Lunch menu here is not worth the price! You will be getting less food and more onions! I have passed by this place a lot and wanted to give them a try! My meal came out to over 20 bucks and let me tell you. It wasn't enough food at all. For the price and the fact I got more onions than chicken. I won't be going back. Not even to try to sushi. I am soooooo disappointed... I didn't want anymore after a bit because it honestly had to much onion. Those pictures are from me not even eating anything. The restaurant was nice and clean. Service was great. She was very nice, friendly, and fast. We ordered the Play Boy Roll, Pork Katsu with Mixed Tempura, and Chashu Ramen. Play Boy Roll - The portion of the fish and roll was good. The sushi rice was cooked well. The sauce was a bit watery and not the right consistency. Overall just an OK roll. Bento Box - The Pork Katsu was fried perfectly. It had a nice breading and crunch to it while still tender. The tempura was light and flavorful. The miso soup was very watery and really had no flavor. Chashu Ramen - I would not recommend. The soup was very watery and did not have much flavor. The noodles were cooked alright and your typical package noodle. The egg was a little over and the Chashu Pork was very very fatty and not much flavor. The place is a 5 for service and about a 3.5 for good. We shall keep looking for other places out there. read more
