This was the worst dining experience I have had in a really long time. I never do poor reviews. Here is how this visit went: Arrived and plenty of open tables available but told wait is 30-40 minutes due to being understaffed. Finally seated, table dirty and salt & pepper shakers are crusty with grime. I order the top shelf margarita, waited 20 minutes to get a drink- no water offered. send it back due to tasting like a $3 well pre-mix. Ask for a beer instead. Another 15 minutes and finally get my beer. They tried to charge me for the $10 margarita and not for the beer. I pointed it out and and clearly said this XXs is clearly not a $10 bottle of beer. Waiter acknowledged that's what they did until I pointed out cost difference. Food- the tastes are almost there. Poor execution. Rice in gumbo was not cooked properly- still had a crunch to it. The gumbo itself was the best thing about the visit. I also had the pecan crusted catfish. The fish was great. The lemon butter sauce was so salty and lemon-y that it literally ruined the dish. A cute little place I was passing by on my way home from Louisiana. The staff at the bar greeted me in a friendly manner and quickly took my order. The way the bartender lady was interacting with the people at bar, made it feel as if they were regulars who go there often. It was very welcoming! The food was...OMG! I had the crawfish, which was $24 for 3 lbs, they were ok. I had asked for spicy, but they were very mild. The bottle caps were very good. The reason for the low review is the 'nasty' factor. Sludge on the walls, bathroom disgusting and we had a roach crawl up the wall of the booth. We told the waitress and she blew us off. We arrived about 6:20pm to eat and listen to band starting at 7:00pm. The parking lot was packed, people waiting to be seated, packed inside and out. The girls at the front taking list of names to be seated said 45-60 minutes. Saw several people leave upon hearing wait time, others left after name got on list but never seated. I saw several tables outside that were open, but girls up front said they weren't seating anybody yet because they were short on staff. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, I'd had enough and left. First time visiting and tried the "Tour of Acadia" with Seasonal Vegetables sub for Maque Choux. This dish was amazingly delicious!!! Would definitely order it again! Wait time to be seated was 15 mins, finally seated at about 30 mins, despite seeing many empty tables. The host was having a hard time remembering which parties wanted inside/outside seating and was having to leave her station unattended many times to bus/wipe tabletops. Understaffed. Place looks fairly empty but staffing struggles to keep up. Waiter was not familiar with portion sizes and multiple times had to check with other staff on quantity of food items. Well over an hour since entering the building and have not been served our food. The food must to good because people continue to come in and wait their turn in line. I wouldn't know though, still no food? Update: food has arrived and it's amazing. I was having a hard time figuring out why people came here. The food is delicious and warm. You guys need to do better! We came for crawfish tonight. Craving crawfish and what a damn disappointment! At least half of them were over cooked and complete mush! there were a few that were decent, but completely not worth the price. Being that we were hungry at had been working all day and just finally got the chance to eat dinner at 9, we ate what we could, tossed the rest in the waste bucket. Now if that was the only thing wrong here, I would say it was an off night...... however..... every time we come here the establishment is filthy. And the bathrooms need to be detailed. Like it is time! not just a mop with dirty water used on the floor, or some cleaner swished around in the toul, but CLEAN the dang thing. clean the dried vomit off the back of the commode and walls and toilet paper holder. I'm sorry but we have come in here a few times hoping that it would get better but nothing has changed. It is really sad that I have to tell you to clean your establishment. You should know by now. Atmosphere is awesome, inside dining as well as outdoor covered dining!! The crawfish etouffee with fried catfish and steamed vegetables was as close to home cooking as you gonna get!! Cajun seasoned to perfection!! Our server Whitney was very attentive to our needs!! This place could be awesome. Great location in the old Hofbrau building, which they spent a lot of money on updating back porch/patio. Problem is the food is not cooked properly, crawfish and blue crabs both over cooked, although flavor was not bad; and second problem is the waitstaff. You have train your staff! Not saying I won't be back, but the search for real BBQ crabs continues! One other thing, don't ever fry the crab claws because claw meat doesn't come out. I have eaten here a ton of times. Definitely one of my favorite places in town. Crawfish Mac and cheese is my favorite. Shrimp po-boys and burgers are super awesome too. Service is great, it's super clean and I love sitting on the patio. I would give them a ten star if I could. If you love boudin and bread pudding this is also your place. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Crazy Cajun. My sons had popcorn shrimp (delish) and boiled crab; he ate every bit of meat he could! I had the seafood gumbo which I thought was very good and my husband had the fried shrimp platter with homemade onion rings....also good. Lastly, we split 3lbs of crawfish...these were ok, not as spicy as I would have liked.....I've had better, they were bland. The highlight of our experience though was our waitresses who called herself "Crazy Patty." She was witty, attentive, and an overall fun person to talk to. I ordered shrimp mac and cheese (I switched the crawfish for shrimp) and fries. The portions are very generous and tasty. Make sure you go hungry. Many places make mac and cheese that taste like it was made from the box however Crazy Cajun's recipe taste homemade. One of the best I've had from a restaurant. I love french fries and I like them prepared and cooked a certain way and these definitely hit the spot It's my second time visiting and the food did not disappoint. Very friendly staff and management. Some reviewers complained of the wait time however the food is made to order and the wait wasn't long. This is the worst place in Beaumont to get a steak. I ordered it medium, it was raw, the cook argued with the server, she had to get the manager involved. The second streak comes out not much better. Except the outside of the steak was crispy. There was a ton of smoke rolling from the grill. Tells me they used a press to cook it. Not a lick of seasonings on the steak. Thank God for salt and pepper on the table. You know it is time to quit eating the steak when the cook and side line server look away toy and star laughing and walk off. I am not the type that usually leaves reviews nor do I pay much attention to the reviews of people that just can't be satisfied. However you need to read this review, I want to start off with the good things. The restaurant it's self is very nice and the staff is very friendly. I would also like to make it clear that I have a very strong stomach for I lived in India for close to a year and have ate two day old Jack In The Box egg rolls with out refrigeration, and never had a problem, but let's move in to the food shall we my wife and I both ordered gator bite Poboys the sauce was strait up sweet and sour sauce that you get from a Chinese restaurant to dip you appetizers in. The gator itself was terrible it instantly made my wife and Myself sick we literally ask for the check and left it was the worst almost rotten food I have ever ate. I once left $40 at the self checkout while getting cash back and I would consider that money better spent than the $40 for these two sandwiches with one soft drink and one water. Just to make it very clear i hope the raccoons that get into their dumpster don't get sick! Another positive note their fries are bomb. read more

Great addition to Beaumont! I've been eating there at least once a week since they opened and they keep getting better and better! The other day I had the catfish and it was some of the best I have ever had - crisp crust and moist on the inside, yummy fresh hush-puppies too. Really enjoy their outdoor dining area and the friendly service there. BTW - try the bread pudding! I don't even like bread pudding but I tried it once and OMG awesomeness!
