Finally made my way to Crazy Cat Eat Up for Sunday brunch. Service was top notch, as it always is. It's always laid back inside, with a mixture of couples, families and single people dining. Ordered the chicken and biscuit, which came with "house tators". I was really torn about getting the skillet cinnamon rolls but went with a safer bet health-wise. The Angel biscuit was super soft and light. Not overly sweet with a taste of buttermilk. The chicken was fried a little hard which made it crunchy but it wasn't burnt. It tasted good and I was so glad to be able to actually taste the Tabasco in the honey drizzle. It gave the sandwich a kick that didn't require me to need jelly for the biscuit. The potatoes were very good as well. Seasoned just right and not overcooked. I could also tell that the potatoes were sautéed fresh and not sitting under a heat lamp. Enjoyed my first Sunday brunch at the Cat!

Tried for the first time today and was DELISH!!! Our waitress was so so sweet, and extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions. We did come for a late lunch and it did seem like it fills up pretty fast so I would say if you were coming for lunch come a few minutes early to get a good spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the vibe is super fun inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come again.

My dad & I enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant! Was our first time visiting Jackson, MS for a while. The food was good and everyone was so nice!

We had really been wanting to try Crazy Cat for a while. When we walked in we immediately realized it was a lot nicer than we thought it was going to be. We were totally not expecting the dinner menu to be what it was after having looked at the yelp page and seeing the most popular items. Those items must be on the lunch menu because the dinner menu was much more upscale and I think the least expensive item we 20 dollars. We were planning on salads or a quiche. I ordered the redfish at the waitresses recommendation. A few minutes after ordering it, I was notified that they reached their limit of it for the night. So I ended up ordering the trout. It was good and had a nice flavor. I enjoyed my meal, but it definitely was nowhere what I was planning to have there. I would be interested in trying crazy cat some time for lunch, but more than likely won't be back for dinner.

Expensive for what it is but super tasty, friendly staff and cute surroundings. Went for lunch...haven't tried dinner yet.

I wanted to go Tuesday but coworkers didn't want to go out. Tried to go Wednesday but they were closed for dinner. My flight was leaving later in the day on Thursday and I had to try to go. Online it said they were open at 10 am. I checked out of the hotel and headed to the restaurant. There were already a lot of people waiting for them to open. To my surprise they opened at 10:30. When the doors opened people were "fighting" to get inside. This is a buffet setting. You pay before eating. To go plates are available for purchase. There is an upstairs eating area. I think there were 3 hot stations, a cold station, and a desert station and an ice cream machine. All the food looked so good. I had to get a little taste of everything. The fried chicken and fried chicken livers were Hands down my favorite things. I like greens that are tangy with a little spicy - these were not that. The cornbread was hard couldn't eat it. Everything else was ok. Nothing that I had that "gotta go back for more" feeling (except the chicken). There were so many offerings, and they have Pepsi products. They have a drink station but The servers bring you drinks. I definitely would go back again if I'm in the area.

We were greeted shortly by our waiter Caden. Our waiter was extremely polite and very attentive. I can only speak in the items I personally tried the watermelon jalapeño margarita was a 7.5/10. There wasn't a strong watermelon flavor and there really wasn't a kick from the jalapeño. The bartender wasn't definitely not shy with the liquor but it wasn't over powering. The shrimp and crab ceviche was probably a 8/10 ( could've been a 9/10 but it had cucumbers in it). It had a tad bit too much lime juice or lime taste. The shrimp and crab dip was delicious! 9/10. Fresh chips as well. I really enjoyed the pickled red onion addition was really good. Overall Saltine has a great menu selection, warm and welcoming vibe.

Lovely looking place…read more The service was good. Pretty much right there when you needed them with decent recommendations. For appetizers, I loved the lobster and spring roll. That was delicious. Also got the lobster and crawfish dip ok and one can never go wrong with calamari which was also good. For dinner, I had the salmon and grits and kale. It was ok because not quite what I was expecting - I was expecting spicy and it was too sweet for me but might be my fault for not fully reading the description and being focused on the Cajun seared aspect of it. It was still good though. Nothing superb but filling and loved the crunchy kale on top. Really liked that they were open on a Monday and they were fast. At one point, too fast because one of my co- diner's dinner came too soon while still eating their salad. For dessert, we got the cinnamon roll cheesecake and shared it. I only had one bite because it was too rich for me but it was very tasty and good. Unfortunately, we didn't get the oysters which is THE item to get here but it was otherwise a good visit.
