This was the closest seafood boil place near where we were staying. We got their 3 lb seafood bundle with the Cajun sauce medium spice. We also got their garlic noodles. For their seafood boil it was super buttery but not a lot of flavor. Their seafood was okay not super fresh. For there garlic noodles I wouldn't get again it also wasn't flavorful and needed salt and pepper. Server was good they gave us everything we needed. Environment was also like any other seafood boil place but it's not very big.

Food is great but very iffy service. Don't seem to happy when a customer walks in when we give you business. I like the inside, it's nice and clean but the people aren't very uplifting

I haven't been this disappointed by a restaurant in some time. From service to presentation and quality of food, this is not a place I'd recommend to a friend. My $65 King Crab legs were placed in a bag with seasoning. I'm told they were steamed, but they weren't airy and hot like the tables around us. I'd ordered them with all 3 sauces. No one shook it up, nada. The leg was a nice size, but if we weighed it, I don't feel like it was as large as they say. The crackers were helpful, but the leg was soggy, wet, and blah. My husband doesn't eat seafood but came to keep me company. He was disappointed at his menu options, there were no burgers or chicken sandwiches. He did order onion rings, which come with a crispy crunchy Cajun spice, not listed on the menu. So those were sent back and he ordered garlic noodles. I'm attaching a picture of the spaghetti drowning in butter and shaken Parmesan cheese, and more garlic and butter, because we were a little shock. $120 later, and we're crossing this off the list - forever.

Amazing delicious seafood boil! Way too much shrimp lol I was quite overwhelmed. The crab legs are huge! The graffiti art is pretty cool. I love the hand wash stations. They were really friendly & he noticed my boil wasn't so lemony. So he offered lemon wedges & that helped! Thank you. I love the water to go cups. Can't wait to come back but it is pricey but worth it!

I'm about to get ready to dig into Cajun boiled seafood, and I'm very excited because I'm a newcomer to this cuisine. The tone of the place is laidback. The customer's artwork on the wall is the main focal point of the decor. I think it's creative and innovative marketing. It will encourage customers to return and check to see if their work is still visible. I would appreciate it if they could turn down their hip hop playlist because conversing with someone can be difficult. The beignet here is round rather than square. It's airy and fluffy. I enjoy it since it is somewhat sweet, which I prefer in all deserts. Fried oyster basket with crinkle fries was hot and fresh when it arrived. The serving is fairly big. The fried oyster batter was unseasoned, but a cocktail sauce was provided as a dipping sauce to give it some taste. We got a combination sampler, which is 3 lbs of a good selection of seafood. It has crawfish, clams, shrimp, mussels, crab legs, corn, potatoes, and sausage. The sauce was tasty, and it really brought out the flavors of the other ingredients. The service was fast, and the food was hot. The server is insufficient. I had to hunt him down just to get a refill, and he was unaware of us after he finished serving the food. The stay was pleasant, and I enjoyed the food we ordered. It's a great place for a casual get-together with friends and family.

This is a 4 star just because out server was wonderful. The food i would rate it 3.5 and I will explain why. The Fried Oysters was really good. I would recommend it. It came with so much fries but i didnt like their fries. Calamari its a bit bland and I didnt like the texture of the breading so much. I ordered a lb of shrimp head on. Mixed of 3 saucea and spicy level 2nd to the not spicy. I kinda forgot what its called. I like the sauce and theres just a kick to the spiciness thats perfect. What i didnt like to much was the tables and chairs its uncomfy and i cant stay long to chat and or take my time to eat coz my tushy was suffering. Lol i know its petty but its important to be comfy specially if you are with people who you want to catch up with. But again service was great! Sometimes that alone would make u go back.

Ask the Community - Crazy Crab

I love seafood but my wife and daughter don't do you have non seafood options that people like?

They have chicken strips and cheese stix. It's not really a place to compromise with non seafood lovers.

    Is this place BYOB?

No. Streamwood liquor laws don't allow the restaurant to be BYOB

Do you still get crawfish for checking in?

How many lbs of food for two people would everyone recommend ? Thanks!

3 lbs should fill you up. It will look like there is a lot of food because of the shells. When you check in to yelp you already get the free lb of crawfish tho.

I got -shrimp po boys (x-tomato) with fries -one of each sauce -peach cobbler On my 15 minute drive home everything was still fresh and warm and crispy. -Fries were SO perfectly seasoned I almost didn't even need a sauce, which for me is crazy as I need a sauce with everything (but I always try it first without). -The po boy...my god. It was so crispy, fresh, the shrimps were perfectly battered (hate when they hide the shrimp between 10 layers of batter), the lettuce was fresh and surprisingly not wilted by the time I got to my destination. I'm not one for cheese on my po boys, and almost got it without, but im actually really glad I kept the cheese on. -Sauces were all great, the Roumalade is where it's at though. I could've really just had 10 of those and been happy! The tarter was a bit less zesty/tart than what I'm used to, but I ended up putting the hot sauce in it and it was delicious -peach cobbler i have yet to try, but it looks so glossy and creamy, will be eating tonight! The service was really just the cherry on top. Elizabeth, the owner, is the one who greeted me, and she was just a doll. She's a sauce queen, like me, so she made sure I try every single sauce! And gave me the peach cobbler on the house as it's my first time there. She's just the sweetest! You can tell her, her husband, and her son just have so much fun together. I'm just so warmed by my experience there, as she went so above and beyond, AND my food was impeccable. I'm quite the critique with my food, and only rate honest to what I feel, and this place deserves 5/5 stars hands down.

I stopped in for lunch to pickup a large order or shrimp and fries. I was greeted by Elizabeth initially. She insisted that I upgrade to the plate instead which included cole slaw and potato salad for a small extra fee so I proceeded to lock it in. Shortly after, her husband Kenny greeted me and we had a friendly talk for a while. They hooked me up with an additional side and drink (they did not have to do that) which I thought was a very kind gesture. My food came out prompt, hot and fresh. I ate a few shrimp and fries while there before hitting the road. Everything was crispy, seasoned well and appetizing. I ate the cole slaw and potato salad later at work and enjoyed each. Overall, this is a business I'd certainly return to in the near future. Cost is very competitive and on par with most places so this is a reason to further recommend them. To the owners, thank you for an excellent first impression. Hope to see you again soon!

It is the classic set-up, where you pick a base (usually rice) and the protein (usually raw fish), and enhance the texture and flavor by directing the counter person to add various toppings and sauces. The counter person was very friendly, giving us plenty of time to make our choice. She was also generous with the toppings, and I'm pretty sure she would have customized it anyway we want. The prep area was very clean, tidy, and organized, with each bin fully stocked with the prescribed ingredients. There is only one size, with one large scoop of fish and rice being the base, and it's plenty. Some toppings are extra: if you get the basic with tuna and no extra-costing add-ons, it is $12. I ended up getting a predefined bowl called the Da Kine (Marinated tuna) for $13, and it was good: nice mix of flavors and made it simple. Some differences from previous poke places we've been: -- they offer a sushi rice option, taking the same hot white rice, and squirting a sushi (vinegar and sugar) mixture on top of it. In my case, it didn't really add much. -- they have a premarinated tuna option, along with the unmarinated. Some places are now letting you choose your sauce spice mix first, and then marinating your protein choice for you right there. It's a bit more work, but I think it does add something worth it. The marinated tuna that I had was fine, but definitely lacked the absolute 'wow' when eating just freshly cubed ahi tuna. It looks like the Poke Bros are THE place for Poke all around Chicagoland, and they have found a good place to source their ahi and salmon (hopefully) daily, as good as can be expected this far from the ocean.
