Had the crawfish etouffee bowl. Plenty of big chunks of crawfish and great flavor. Wonderful treat on such a cold January day!

I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm glad we decided to give it a try. The ordering process was simple. You place your order and pay at the front counter, find a seat, and they bring your food to you using a number system to locate your table. I ordered the catfish and asked for it extra crispy. It was delicious! The outside had a great crunch, soft inside. I got mac and cheese and greens. The mac and cheese was cool. It wasn't the kind that tastes like somebody's grandma made it, but it was definitely better than what you get at most restaurants. The greens had a slight vinegar taste but they paired well with the rest of the food. One of my friends ordered the jumbo fried shrimp and really enjoyed them. She also got a Dirty Kool-Aid, she said that it wasn't very strong. Her girlfriend enjoyed her meal as well. What stood out to me was that I finished everything on my plate. I usually have leftovers whenever I go out to eat, but not this time. Small portion size, but it was satisfying. Overall, would definitely come back.

The only drawbacks: service can be difficult to access once you're seated, the Hurricane cocktail seems significantly smaller than it used to be, and the garlic bread that once came with the seafood boil is gone. Great food and views, but a few of the little touches have faded.

She patiently took all our orders with a cheerful attitude and made sure everything was correct. The food was good, came out in a timely manner, and Cindy checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything else. Toward the end of the meal, she kindly split the check per couple, which we really appreciated. The best part? We were surprised with fried Oreos and ice cream on the house--such an unexpected and delicious treat! Then, to top it off, the manager came by and offered us a second round of fried Oreos and ice cream, also on the house. How cool is that? Nice place, good food, and excellent service. Highly recommend!

The sauce in the bag felt a bit... watered down like it went for a swim before meeting the seafood. For a party of four, we ordered: SHRIMP LOVER COMBO, LOBSTER ROLL, SIDE OF RICE, BASKET OF SEASONED FRIES, AND MAD DOG XXX SAUCE on the side. Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat. Tip: Sign up to their text newsletter at the restaurant and enjoy a free basket of fries. BTW, their website is down. :(

Since we had smaller appetites, this was basically finished before we left to get back home. seafood chowder: holy moly, I mean the cheese being shredded (chef's kiss emoji), imitation crab, green onions, shrimp, potato, this was so rich and creamy. we regretted only getting a cup but it was also just enough due to the richness (and our lactose intolerant tummies). vietnamese coffee: well I didn't know it was going to come in a cup as big as one's bladder, but this (as one knows about Vietnamese coffee) packed the punch in your throat by the first sip. I felt like I got flashbanged in the gulag. the flavor was also delicious, can't go wrong - but maybe let the ice melt before you try chugging it.

The soft shell crab was crispy, flavorful, and packed into fresh bread that held everything together without getting soggy. Messy in the best way and exactly what you hope for when you order one. The owner was super friendly and very hospitable. Definitely living up to the southern hospitality. Food came out hot and fresh. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving New Orleans style comfort food.
