I have been going to the Westminster location for years over any seafood bag place. This location in Long Beach opened and I ordered takeout for the first time a few days ago. And let me tell you I will never order or eat at this location. First the parking was atrocious. I had to park blocking a few cars but I tried to be quick with it. Stood in line at the front counter after one person and that person wanted a whole ten minute conversation w the guy up front and when they finished I had to wait a few more minutes for the guy to address me and then was told pick up line was inside the store. Then when I get helped he asks for my ID and credit card I used to pay. Like what? What if I paid w my husbands card and he's not with me? So I had to go back outside to get my wallet and the cars I blocked are turned on waiting to leave at that moment and I said sorry I'll be right back! So I show my cards and get my food cool and go home. I ordered two pounds of different seafood put in two different bags with literally less than half a cup of kickin sauce in each bag.

I also ordered fried fish and garlic noodles. Noodles were great as usual thank god. Fish was ok will not order again it was just too dry and small pieces. But what really pissed me off was the shrimp was mushy like it was rotten....

And it was the whole bag of shrimp I ended up tossing it and just eating mussels and noodles. The one in Westminster always gives a lot of sauce which I like to pour on top of my noodles. I usually bring my leftovers home and boil eggs to eat it with. Was planning to do that with my to go order but there was barely any sauce on the seafood in the bag. I was so livid with everything I even tipped 20 percent. So now I won't tip until I get my food and get good service period bc they really didn't deserve it at this location paid 100 bucks for this omg. I'll only go to Westminster hopefully they are still amazing over there if not then I'll find a new seafood place so disappointed.

Came here on a Wednesday around 7pm. Parking lot. Big tables. They were out of some items already like lobster tail and mussles. Ordered fries were seasoned well. Ordered kickin sauce not too spicy for mild. Inside corn and potatoes well cooked. The lower was ok. The shrimp was big and good. The snowcrab legs were good. 2 lbs pf shrimp filled up around 3 people. Rice couldve been cooked better. Service was kind. All in all good time and good taste.

First time here! My partner is a big seafood person and as we passed it, we finally decided to stop by. Im not into seafood, hence the chicken strip order lol! He really enjoyed his bag but was a bit disappointed they were out of a VERY long list of things like corn and eggs and even king crab (they mentioned their order was late...) Nevertheless we stayed for a few beers and some food. Pretty pricey for a bag that didn't include too many food items. The girl who helped us was AMAZING!! And the guy who checked on us while she was on lunch was also a superstar!! You guys are the reason we stuck around!!! The restaurant is nice and i loved the ceiling but the tables seemed a bit close. They have their own parking lot and it's pretty big. We also waited absolutely no time before being seated. Definitely gonna think twice about coming back but who knows...

No thrills - No chills This place is legit. I order food for pick up usually my go to is headless Shrimp in house spice *( $20 lb ) the space can be packed with families . The food is on point and a big parking lot what else you want from a Crab broil!

I'm not a huge seafood fan but my family is. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Very clean on the inside. Of course it smells somewhat like seafood but it's not unbearable like some of the other seafood broil places. The food was yummy and portions were good. The service was very good. Our server was very good and attentive. Definitely one of the better seafood broil bag places we have visited.

Definitely recommend this place . This is where we started when we first tried this place over a year ago , we've been to 2 other locations but this one has always been very good to us . Our server today was awesome. Very kind and a great attitude Food always hits . Head on shrimp is my go to . I don't recommend going over medium spicy level due to stomachaches . Or maybe thats just me but if you really want to enjoy it with out any distress do mild or medium for just enough of a kick. Ambiance is very chill . It can get cold at times in there so definitely bring a jacket . . No complains . 10/10 finger licking tasty . Definitely prefer this over The boiling crab .

First time visiting this place and we arrived close to closing time, but everything was still amazing! The crawfish were fresh, huge, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was delicious and perfectly coated every piece. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and comfortable. What impressed me the most was the staff. Even though it was almost closing time, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service without making us feel rushed. Overall, a wonderful experience. Best kicking crabs in Long Beach CA area. The crawfish and shrimp and crab legs is to die for. The owner comes and greet you to make sure your order is meet expectations and I give them an outstanding service. The foods are amazing delicious, mouthwatering and their drinks are so refreshing and a great pairing to your foods. My husband and I just ate here tonight and it was excellent! We had the best service ever with a Server/Supervisor named Juan! He has a very vibrant and very positive outlook. His parents should be very proud of him! This man is going to go far in life! And the food was also very delicious! My husband had the fish and fries. Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was thrilled to host her annual Thanks and Giving celebration featuring the fabulous seafood from Kickin' ' Crab! It was first team eating here! Got seated right away with super kind service ! Good prices but sprite was mid :( I got crawfish and it tasted strange with the meat looking grey and green on the inside. My husband got shrimp but it was a little dry. And much to my surprise, the fries are even a bit soggy by the time I got to it, which IS HOW I LIKE IT. Honestly, the best of both worlds for me. The fish was nicely flavored and still crispy, even an hour later, while the fries deflated a bit to allow me to cram a handful at a time lolol. For shoestring fries, I don't prefer extra crunchy as I would wedges since they taste too hard to me. ANYWAY, it's now a MUST for me every time I'm in the area, as long as I have cash on me!

Upscale Restaurant on 2nd Street with Delicious Food…read more I've visited Saint & Second on multiple occasions: for drinks, a casual lunch, and my birthday dinner. Reservations are fairly easy to get, which make it an optimal choice if I'm looking to have a nice meal. The ambiance of Saint & Second is what sets it apart from other Belmont Shore restaurants. There's indoor seating and rooftop seating upstairs, and both areas are designed impeccably. The food menu changes every few months, which is great because it allows the chefs to experiment with new menu items, but I have been left missing past items. When I returned for the third time for my favorite hummus, I found that it was discontinued for a nice, but less tasty green hummus (which leaned more into an avocado flavor than traditional hummus flavor). Overall, if you'd like to return to Saint and Second, you should expect some changes to menu items every few months and plan accordingly. One appetizer I'd recommend is the tuna on crispy rice. This is a consistent item with great flavors that trump other tuna crispy rice dishes I've had at other restaurants. The amount of fish on this item is generous. If you are celebrating your birthday here like I did, they offer a delcious smores-flavored dessert. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

We have been too many of the Cajun crawfish places in Orange County such as Boiling Crabs, Claw, Kickin' Crabs, but this newly opened Kicking' Crab of Long Beach is by far the best in the business. We ordered the Combo with crawfishs, shrimps, and mussels, everything is delicious and well-seasoned. All items are as fresh as you can get, corns and potatoes and sausages are to our tastes. First off, I LOVE the taste of the kickin sauce, it's just the right amount of spice & flavor and in my opinion is best at this specific location. The atmosphere of the restaurant is more my preference compared to the location in Westminster, much more clean and bright. The service is exceptional when it's not too busy and the servers were really helpful in recommending what was good for my preference. My wife and I frequently visit various locations, and we've noticed that gloves are not automatically provided. When we ask for gloves, we've encountered situations where they were initially reserved for staff only. However, after some discussion, they eventually provide gloves for us. We prefer using gloves because it helps prevent our hands from developing an unpleasant odor after touching different surfaces throughout the day. read more

Had a great experience at The Kickin' Crab! We were seated quickly, and the service was on point from start to finish. First time coming to this location... At first step we were greeted by Juan who seated us and took our order politely. He then continued to be helpful with any questions we had and took our order quickly. Loving the decor and vibes inside this specific location and the seatings are comfortable. Brianna was an amazing server. Great service, very polite, and consistently checked in to offer assistance and refills. I spilled my drink and she was really nice about it, smiled and helped me clean it up. If it was up to me I'd give her a raise for being such an excellent server. read more

This is the closest kickin crab to me and by far the best one I've tried the sauce is always the way I like it, service is excellent although they do get big rushes they always take the time to check up on me when I need refills the place is pretty clean, definitely recommend! read more

I was on my way to eat here to find out my wife was already called to get towed while she was waiting for me and the rest of the family and friends in the parking lot for only 5 minutes !!! Oh hell naw.... What a way to run the business. OH HELLLLL NAWWWW!! read more
