Within walking distance of my hotel, great aroma in the air. The decor of the restaurant seems to be within theme, but it's very dark, not well lit at all. I did get my food to go, see the pictures. They do have a pretty good selection of proteins, veggies, and sauces. Definitely get creative and try things you've never tried before. Although I took my food to go, there were several patrons and families there. People were making humongous plates. My order came out to right under $10, you weigh it and then pay. As far as the flavor, it is flavorful. It's really nice that it was so fresh and made in front of me. I don't really like that The food is just sitting out without a cover, but the fact that it is cooked, I hope that kills some of those germs.

Stopped in to try Crazy Fire Mongolian Grill today. There wasn't a long wait to be seated. You have the choice between dinning in or take out. Here you get to choose your own meats & vegetables for chefs to stir-fry for you on their big grill This was an all you can eat buffet style restaurant but now it's by bowl If you use one bowl it's 13,99 If you use two bowls it's 14.99 If you choose take out then your plate is weighed at 11.99 per pound. The restaurant was fairly clean and the staff was nice. One issue is for those who do not eat beef and pork. All stir fry is cooked on the same grill with the same utensils. Another is sue is that if you dine in you will not get a to go plate for left overs. Overall I love the concept of picking my own ingredients and sauces for my stir fry.

It has been years since my last visit, and I am happy to say it is still a fun experience. The concept: Choose one or two bowls, fill them with the raw ingredients of your choice, and take them to the grill area and enjoy the show as your meal is prepared. I had a seat where I faced the grill area, which is fun watching how many ingredients some customers could pile into one of those bowls. Servers were polite, attentive, and busy. Enjoyed my creation!

The restaurant is clean. Fast service. The quality of their ingredients, especially meats is awesome. We are used to the thinly cut frozen meat. Not here! This place has fresh meat and good selection of veggies and sauce, the cooks are friendly, (don't forget to tip them) They keep this place going.

Went here on Sunday and had not been in years. If you haven't been here before, there are banners on the ceiling kinda explaining the process. We were sat immediately but no one gave us any instructions on what to do, so I just looked around and said "I guess we should just fill the bowls?" So we did LOL. The meats all looked / tasted fresh, veggies were clearly fresh. The only assistance I was offered was from the grill chef who saw me staring at the sauce choices and suggested I go with Mongolian - which was a good choice, but I over sauced (my own fault) - otherwise everything was very good. We were pleased with the experience but wish we'd been given instruction and not just led to a booth. That may seem silly but I feel like it would be easy to end up sitting there confused lol. Overall happy and will return.

Crazy Fire is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I love hibachi - and if you don't like what you're served.. (unless it has to do with sanitation) then it's partially your fault - because you're the one who creates your own meal here. I do think it's a tad expensive - but I can understand why. I like to make my bowls using shrimp, broccoli, onions, cilantro, mushrooms, an egg, noodles, house sauce and LOTS of cayenne seasoning. Then after it's cooked I ask for the brown rice. Service here was kinda slow.. but for there to only be one server doing everything, she still managed to do a great job.

My husband still fondly talks about going to a Mongolian Grill as a kid, it remains one of his favorite restaurants. Probably partly just because nostalgia and partly because he loves dousing everything in sauce and rice. He finally convinced me to head on over to Crazy Fire Mongolian to see if it was like what he remembered Mongolian Grills to be of his childhood. It was, he mentioned it was even a bit better! We went in on a Sunday night and while the place is a bit dark it was super clean. We were quickly seated, there were other tables dining it as well, but it seemed like a ton of people were getting takeout. I'm guessing its a better deal if you are really only going for one plate anyways. To dine in on a Sunday it was $15 per person. We loaded up our bowls with a good variety of items. They had a great meat selection from Korean beef, to shrimp, to tofu. I also liked the large variety of sauces they had, my favorite was lime ginger. Off to the grill we went! The man working the grill was very friendly and seemed like he wanted to make sure everyone was happy. It's amazing how he kept track of everyone's orders including when to crack the egg in etc. Our waters always remained full and we didn't have to wait long for plates to be cleared or the check to come. Something to note the tips at the table go all to your waiter/waitress and not to the grill. We split the tip up a bit since we felt like the grill master was really working his butt off and while our waitress was great it was buffet, just a bit different than standard dining.

So: I kept to a two plate limit - actually brought both plates with me on the initial fillup so that I didn't have to go back - but for just $2 more you get anything you want. The pricing structure is reasonable, allowing less food for a single plate and the ability to bring home if you can only eat a small amount of a plate (there are such people, trust me). Other than water chestnuts they were stocked with every food listed on the tray. Wasn't sure on the meats but the seafood was definitely prefrozen. Not the levels of food I'm used to at Mongolian grill. (okay, it's been 20 years since I used to Fire & Ice, that's my last memory). But the cooked food? All's well that ends tasty. I did go for the frozen seafood and enjoyed a plethora of mussels, squid, and octopus (I kept the shrimp out). Went veggie by veggie on plate #1 to meet the most authentic mix I could manage (a lot of American tastes in the "buffet"). Plate #2 was a heap of seafood and 1 or 2 other things that didn't fit with the veggies. Got it all fried up with a generous amount of hot oil to impart heat and taste. Woo. And I noticed too late there are spices on the end of the buffet, but I think I'd rather have my sesame seeds sprinkled raw on top (extra flavor) compared to roasted and mixed in. So that worked in my favor. Staff attended to refilling my drink, good. We actually didn't walk out with a single bite left on our plates, or a single ounce of hunger left in our stomachs. There you have it: a decent change from most NC fare, and you won't be standing in line to enjoy it.

I came in around 1 on on a Saturday and there was maybe one other customer in the restaurant. Not a great sign. I didn't get a menu, I was just shown directly to a booth. I had seen online it was 13 dollars for all you can eat so that was my expectation. As I walked, I saw there were were cleaning supplies on different tables. Piece of advice... thank you for cleaning, but don't leave the chemicals and rags out in plain sight. I went to the buffet three times. Food was fine, standard for this kind of restaurant, though I wish they had the seeded bread that other Mongolian places have. And I was charged 26 bucks for the food. Turns out they charge one amount for one bowl, another amount for two bowls, and another amount for all you can eat. I've never heard of a place doing this. I did find a menu by the sushi area and it reflected the 10 and 13 dollar prices for the buffet. I mentioned it to my waiter and he said those are menus from before covid. Ok... that was 6 years ago and it was over 4 years ago, if I'm being kind. They have 6 plus year old menus there! I felt really misled. I won't be returning.

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual.
