A bit on the pricey side for what you get. Wings are too small and a bit dry wish they had more flavor. Parking kind of sucks as well

Ask the Community - Crazy Hot Wings

How good are their wings compared to hot wing cafe? And how would you rate the ranch sauce?

I don't think HWC is memorable, for reference. This place cooks their wings well but they're very small. Ranch is actually very good here, and I'm picky about ranch.

I popped in here after a school field trip craving some fried chicken. I was new here and didn't…read moreknow what to get so I went with the chicken lunch special that comes with salad, rice and a drink. I couldn't decide on one flavor so she was kind enough to put the sauce on the side for me which was great (thank you!). I love that they gave a combination of white and dark meat, I was worried it would all be wings and it was well portioned. I enjoyed having a little salad with the fried chicken pieces and rice. The sauce was light and gently sweet, a very complimentary dip to the light crispy crunch of the breaded wings. Service was very welcoming and friendly with a very clean interior and the smell of freshly cooked food. I really enjoyed the food here and I'm definitely coming back for dinner with the family.

We've ordered from Chicken Day in La Crescenta a few times. Some were delivery orders and a couple…read moreof times, we picked up the food. Korean fried chicken cravings definitely happen and its good to have one in the foothills. We just happened to be in the same plaza shopping at the market nearby when we first noticed it. We've gotten the original fried chicken wings, original fried chicken drumsticks, sweet and spicy wings and the spicy garlic wings. I've found that the original and sweet & spicy are the 2 flavors I like best for wings. The drumsticks are a little too filling and I'm really in it for the wings. The flavor of the original fried is good and the crunch is even better. 10 pieces of these wings is $15.49 while 10 pieces of the sweet & spicy wings or the spicy garlic is $15.99. The spicy garlic was a little too strong for me. I needed to eat that with a good amount of rice. The sweet & spicy is good on its own. The flavor was not too overpowering. The double fried nature of these wings make for an extra crunch which we all look for... That's always good. We also typically get the pickled radish as a side but at times that is even too strong. Located on Foothill Blvd in the same plaza as Seoul Market and directly next to Sakana Sushi. Parking is in the shared lot or along Foothill. Service the times we ordered in-person was friendly. It seemed like a family run business. Signage out front doesnt really let you know that it's a Korean fried chicken spot. When we first parked in front of Chicken Day while headed to Seoul Market, I did a double take in wondering what type of chicken shop it was.

Hell's Chicken truly lives up to its name!! This place is a full-on experience for spice lovers…read more If you're someone who actively seeks out heat, flavor, and boldness, not just "kind of spicy," but commitment level spicy, Hell's Chicken deserves your attention. I placed a pretty large order: *Chicken wrap - Extra Hot *Loaded fries - Hot *12 wings (half mango habanero, half honey sriracha) *Strawberry banana funnel cake with a vanilla & chocolate ice cream swirl For the amount of food I ordered, I was genuinely impressed by how quickly everything came out. Nothing felt rushed or sloppy. It was efficient, hot, and ready to go. That kind of speed with this many items is something I always notice and appreciate. Let's get straight into the Extra Hot chicken wrap, because this needs to be addressed properly. I have a high spice tolerance and this heat level still caught me off guard. This is not "Extra Hot" as a marketing label. This is a legit, no-nonsense heat! Haha. The spice hits early, builds steadily, and lingers. WHICH I LOOOVE. I was truly impressed because this wasn't even their hottest heat level! Makes me wonder if I can go even hotter. What really stood out, though, is that the wrap didn't rely on heat alone. Even through the intensity, the flavor still came through. That balance is hard to pull off, and Hell's Chicken nailed it. If you're debating between heat levels; Extra Hot is not for casual spice fans. The waffle fries that came with the wrap deserve a mention as well. They were perfectly crispy and definitely on the saltier side, but in the best way, especially when paired with the intense heat of the Extra Hot wrap. The saltiness actually worked as a contrast, balancing out the spice and making them dangerously easy to keep reaching for between bites. The loaded fries in hot were the perfect middle ground. Crispy, well-seasoned, generously topped, and spicy without being overwhelming. It had the most tasty dressing that complemented the meal perfectly. That sauce is actually addictive, just a warning! Compared to the wrap, these felt indulgent and comforting. It's still flavorful, still warm with heat, but much more approachable. They paired well with everything else and held up bite after bite. The wings were honestly the highlight of the entire meal. The mango habanero sauce was unlike any other mango habanero flavor I've had. The wings had a great sweet-heat balance, with a super fruity brightness that made them easy to keep eating. The habanero heat was present but controlled, letting the mango shine without being cloying. But wow the honey sriracha wings?!?! Absolutely the standout. These were, without question, my favorite dish! Sticky, glossy, perfectly coated, and incredibly balanced. Sweet, and spicy in a way that felt intentional and addictive. I'm usually super underwhelmed when I have any sriracha flavored wings elsewhere because they absolutely do not taste like real sriracha. But THESE, these definitely did and I'm obsessed with the flavor. Every bite delivered, and these are the wings I'd come back for again and again. If you only order one flavor, make it honey sriracha. After all that heat, the strawberry banana funnel cake was exactly what I needed. Warm, extra crispy funnel cake paired with a vanilla and chocolate ice cream swirl. It created the ideal hot and cold contrast. The fresh strawberries and banana slices added brightness and sweetness without overpowering the dessert. It was perfect. It genuinely rounded out the meal and helped reset after the spice marathon! Overall, what makes Hell's Chicken stand out is how confident it is in what it does. The spice levels are serious, the flavors are bold, and nothing feels watered down for the masses. Add in the fast turnaround time for a large order, and it's clear this place knows how to execute. Hell's Chicken isn't trying to please everyone, it's here for people who appreciate real spice and strong flavor. If that's you, this spot belongs on your list! Thank you so much for having me.

Picked this up to-go for lunch and the Loaded Mashed alone could probably feed 2 people... maybe…read moreeven 3 depending on how hungry you are. The portion was absolutely massive and definitely worth it if you're sharing. The chopped chicken was super soft, flavorful, and went really well with the mashed potatoes and sauce. Everything together was rich, comforting, and honestly way better than I expected. My only complaint was the bacon bits because it was just a little too much and kind of threw the flavor balance off slightly. Next time I'd definitely leave those out. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and every time I've gone it hasn't been overly packed or busy, which I appreciate. Service wasn't necessarily super fast, but it was reasonable considering everything tasted fresh. Also a bonus: plenty of parking since it's located in a large plaza.
