We went to this restaurant for brunch on a Saturday. There was a small wait but nothing horrible and it was worth it! They have an extensive menu with unique breakfast and lunch options ranging from variations of eggs Benedict to classic burgers and salads. The drink menu was also excellent and yummy! The service and atmosphere were excellent with a welcoming and friendly vibe. We ended up having leftovers to take home even after eating all we could there. Visited for the first time a few days ago. Hit there within an hour before closing. Sat at the high table by the bar. I was unaware that I was sitting next to the owners. One half of the ownership team Introduced herself. We chatted for a few. She then brought out some amazing praline bacon. To die for. I have candied bacon before but never have I added the nuts. I ordered the chicken fried pork cutlet with poached eggs and grits. These are stone ground grits cooked with cream. No fake instant or five minutes great. Hard to get at any place that isn't charging a higher price point. All in all the food was good. The grits were burnt but then the owner quickly fixed the issue. I drank a brandy milk punch. It was good. The food was freshly made, better quality ingredients than most this way, and the service with the accountability was outstanding. read more

Maybe I should have gotten breakfast, as my lunch was disappointing. Service was attentive. My crab bisque was just ok-frozen shrimp. The potato salad tasted straight from Rouses with added green onion and parsley. Roast beef poboy: meat was commercial grade, probably not prepared in house. The burger was average. We went today for the first time. The schnitzel is delicious and there is a ton of bacon in the Crazy Pig Omelette. The onlly thing that wasn't good was the shrimp and grits. The sauce that comes on it is nasty. They need to start from scratch on that sauce and rework it. read more

We happen to find this place because we were at another restaurant for breakfast and the wait was long. Cute little place tucked in a plaza. Very nice inside. Staff were very sweet. My daughter order waffle breakfast, she loved everything. I got advocado toast was good but wish eggs were over easy and the bread tasted good but very hard, had to cut with knife. My husband got bayou eggs Benedict, he loved it. Overall everything was great. We waited 9 mins and it was a Sunday morning at 1015. read more

A hidden gem in Mandeville. We decided to try out this little new place and can't wait to go back. The food was divine! We had the sticky chicken and biscuits with grits and the chicken and waffles with pepper jelly. Everything was absolutely delicious and prepared to order. This sneaky surprise is well worth a visit! First, location at the end of a strip mall in a jungle of strip malls on Hwy 22 is plebian, and with a name like "Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen" I thought, "okay, B-B-Q? Home cooking?" Surprise! Everything we had was great, but the Chicken and waffles was a favorite! The Cajun pepper jelly adds a nice Louisiana touch to this delicious dish. Shrimp& Corn bisque was in the top few of all I've eaten, and ranks with Commanders for taste. Friends ate burgers that they raved about, and everyone loved the Hummingbird Cake. Good coffee, too! The owner is very nice and personable and has been in the restaurant business for many years. Their daily specials are delicious and interesting. Really cute decor. The service was good. The Benedict was great. The coffee was not drinkable. First we tried the iced coffee. It had a strange taste to it, plus it was mostly cream. We tried to fix it by adding more coffee to it. It was still terrible. I then ordered just plain hot coffee. It was terrible too. I also noticed that the water tasted funny and the both coffees had that same weird taste. For retail coffee they should use filtered water. The grits were strange and lumpy with some mystery inside. Not going back. There too many places with good food and good coffee. read more

This is a great breakfast spot! We were welcomed at our table by Briana whose service was exceptional. We started with the cinnamon roll fresh from the oven and it was good for people with a sweet tooth. I had the schitznel and the pork fried perfectly with great breading.
