Thought we would give them another try and here is what we found. They are now getting bigger and hiring and not controlling quality. Walked in and she asked about coffee - I drink water and my companion had coffee already so she also asked for water. She gives me water and companion coffee- ok one mistake - we order breakfast and my plate is delivered with bacon. I said nothing a didn't eat it. Unfortunately we won't be returning. The woman from 2 years ago seems to be either family or part owner but now she reds a proper manager to teach these folks or hire proper servers.

Went to the Crazy Rooster while we were in Dennis on vacation! Staff were friendly and service was prompt! We got the crab cake Benedict and it was SO good! The crab cakes were so thick and hearty and well-seasoned. Definitely going to have to come back next time I'm on the Cape!

Crazy Rooster is a casual breakfast and lunch place which caters to locals and out of town people visiting Cape Cod. We arrived a little before 8 and there were just a few local groups having breakfast. We were seated promptly and the server took our drink orders. My wife had the egg and Feta Pita. Huge and very tasty. I had the Western Omlette. It was a three egg omlette stuffed with ham, peppers and onions. The hash browns were also quite good. If you're in South Yarmouth and hungry for breakfast, this is the place to go.

Visit: Late October 2022. We were out of towners in town well past the normal tourist season. And that is why we felt so lucky. Wonderful service, full of charm and happiness. Our server who may have been one of the owners, or at least somebody who has been there forever, was fantastic. It's always nice to have a friendly person serving you a meal. I wish I could remember what both of us had but I remember both of us saying that we really loved our entrée. Comfort food at its best !! We liked it so much we came back for breakfast the next day. Portions were great. Prices reasonable. You can't go wrong here.

Friendly staff and good service. My waitress was covering many tables including a large group but was not missing an occasion to check on me. The sandwich I had was disappointing. I had a Texas omelet melt. I'm just an okay cook. I could have done one better! However, it's not expensive and that's good. The ambiance is one that you would expect from a dinner. I went in with high expectations based on other people's review. Maybe my hopes were too high or I picked the wrong dish. I would go back for a drink as they have a nice bar area. I really wanted to give them more stars. Maybe next time

My family and I came in for a late breakfast/brunch, and we were not disappointed. The food and service were excellent from top to bottom. The coffee was fresh, the home fries were thin cut, perfectly cooked and delicious. I ordered the Irish Benny, and the eggs were poached perfectly. There were a variety of reasonably priced options for my 7 year old and my 2 year old children. Overall, the prices were very reasonable, especially for the area, and the food was very good. The decor was pleasant, and my children enjoyed counting the roosters around the restaurant.

Amazing breakfast. Our group loved the crab cake eggs Benedict and the Hungry Boy aka "fat bastard".

This is a really appealing, intimate, mom and pop (and summer help waitress) place. The hostess/ front of house boss, who was operating from the bar of this 10-12 table location, was gracious and endearing (in the way that an almost overbearing host can be- that meant as a compliment). The drinks took a minute, my fiancé's salad needed blue cheese brought out as it was left off (single most off-putting thing: the waitress, I suspect language mastery being the cause of this rather than malice or willful deceit, flat out told her that blue cheese did not come with the wedge salad...but when boss lady at the bar was asked, this was quickly corrected), there was a heavy does of reggae music. All of this less than optimal. The food was very good, though I can't remember off the top of my head what I had (it's been a month). Nor did I take pics: it seemed like it'd detract from the experience. There weren't any complaints about the food from others. (So I went back and looked at the menu: potstickers as an app- pretty good; baked local seafood as the main- good, but it is what it is in that not a ton of nuance added so as to let the seafood do the talking. The portion was decent for the price. I didn't leave stuffed, but for $38, very reasonable.) All in all, the first visit merits a second visit next year (as the website says they are temporarily closed to seek new management).

We found the burger to be over done and not medium. The pear flatbread was the best thing we ordered. Cape cod salad was actually very good too. I can't speak to the actual restaurant because we ordered to go. Perhaps that's why the food wasn't as great as I read about. We will try again next summer when we return.

The portions were very generous and we both left full with food to spare. We started with the onion rings, which came out as a big basket super crispy, well-seasoned, and not greasy at all. My hot lobster roll was loaded with tender lobster and perfectly buttery, and the sweet potato wedge fries were a great match. The clam chowder was thick, flavorful, and packed with clams, absolutely living up to their reputation. My son really enjoyed his fish and chips from the kids' menu -- crunchy on the outside, moist inside, and plenty of fries. Service was excellent from start to finish. The ambiance was casual and lively but not too loud, with a classic pub feel that still felt very family-friendly. The restaurant is quite large with a spacious dining area, so even when it was busy we didn't feel crowded. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time, keeping drinks topped off. Overall, a great, family-friendly spot with delicious Cape Cod seafood and more than enough food for the price. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in town again.

For years, our Cape Cod vacations have always started here--our first night marked by cracking lobster shells, buttered corn, and laughter around the table. This August, we brought along a dear friend from Canada for her very first taste of Cape Cod lobster, excited to share the magic with her. Instead, we left heartbroken, embarrassed, and vowing never to return. We knew there was new ownership, but as loyal customers with dozens of happy memories here, we felt we had to give it a try. There were eight of us, full of anticipation for a celebratory family feast. When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty for a summer night. We were seated immediately, but things felt off right away. Two waitresses--one young and sweet but clearly struggling with English, the other older, frazzled, and loud--stood over us, loudly divvying up our table. The older one declared she'd take three of us, and the younger would take five. Odd, but we went along. Trying to lighten the mood, my husband looked up at the older waitress and asked, "Do you have lobster?" She didn't hesitate: "Yes, absolutely!" With that reassurance, we happily placed our orders--seven double lobster specials and one fish and chips for my nephew. Fifteen minutes later, the young waitress nervously approached, apologizing: "We only have two lobster dinners left." We were stunned. We had just asked. We had planned this night for months. We sat there scrambling, wondering if we should leave and find another place before our night was ruined. But before we could make a decision, the older waitress stormed over and plunked down two double lobsters and a fish and chips for the three people she had claimed as 'her' part of the table. "Too late to cancel," she barked. "You have to take these." Our jaws dropped. We were left with a heartbreaking, awkward choice: let a few people eat while the rest of us sat there miserable, or leave entirely. Our Canadian friend--excited for her very first Cape Cod lobster--offered to give hers up out of guilt. We refused, but the damage was done. The moment was gone. We had no appetite for anything else on the menu and no appetite for this experience. We gathered our things and walked out, deeply disappointed. Our group of five left, while the three with their unwanted meals stayed behind in what became one of the most awkward restaurant experiences of our entire lives. There was no apology, no effort to make things right--just a sense that we weren't welcome. It was a disastrous start to our vacation. After decades of memories, we left vowing never to return. A tradition we cherished is over.

After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, you'd never guess how large the restaurant actually is. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. There's plenty of parking available, and I'd definitely recommend making reservations, especially on busy nights. Overall, it was a great meal with generous portions, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd happily return
