Scallops in a lite orange marmalade sauce. Mash potatoes and crisp green beans.

Small but pleasant restaurant with both locals and tourists dining. Very friendly service and well prepared food made for a successful dinner. Rolls are delicious. We shared the fried green tomato caprese, a bowl of clam chowder, and a nice scallops ( the most scallops in a single order I've seen) in a lite orange marmalade sauce. Too full for dessert but the choices looked nice. Plan ahead with a reservation because it's a small restaurant. A few outdoor tables too but view is parking lot and Rte 28. Enjoy!

While on the cape for a competition we found online that this restaurant had many gluten-free options. We got a table online since they can be quite busy for reservations. The small bistro ambience was very inviting, though the music was very off the vibe with much more of a Caribbean pop music remix that kind of threw off the experience. We found that the options for gluten-free were good. Proportions were ginormous for the entrées and appetizer as well. I expected a much smaller wedge salad, and was pleasantly surprised by the size. Overall flavors were very good and the clam chowder was well done. Moving to desert, the tort was great for my partner, but the crème brûlée was the shallowest I have ever seen. Not a lot of substance to compare with the size of the entrée. Overall, the bistro is a wonderful place to stop for gluten-free options at a high quality.

I like the journey that this spot has taken. And I really like the new layout and design of the space. Excellent for very small groups, couples, and single diners looking for a bar spot. The food was tasty. Great ideas, well plated, but perhaps a little lacking in execution. I have only been here once and I do plan on returning to try some of the Caribbean flavors that look promising. This place has all the potential to become a hidden gem on the Cape. Service for me was painfully slow. It could have been the day of the week or unseen circumstance. Other tables seemed to be getting quick service, and the bar seemed to be on top of things, so I'll chalk it up to an off night for our waitress. I got the Brussels sprouts appetizer (very good), the swordfish entree (rather dry with a sauce that was bland), and the bread pudding dessert (which was average). I do have high hopes for this place and want to see them succeed. Perhaps I'll try again next year.

This is the best food I've had on the cape, and it's not close. We hope to see them reopen soon.

Very good calamari and Portuguese Stew. Everyone in our group found their food to be quite tasty. Small place, but we did take out.

This year we came back because of how outstanding last year was. I ordered the chili again, even though I knew it meant I probably wouldn't eat my whole meal. My friend ordered the fish and chips and upgraded to truffle fries. She said it was probably the best fish and chips she's had. Now... for my meal... I am not exaggerating... BEST meal I have EVER had. Ever. I had the cod. Baked. With pesto, and sun-dried tomatoes. Served with roasted potatoes and spinach. So flaky. So tender. Perfectly cooked. The flavor was something straight from heaven. Breaks my heart I'm not local. I'd eat this weekly. All of the staff is always so friendly. A gentleman also checked in... not sure if he's a manager or owner. This is a top notch place. I'll definitely be back.

The TV screens are perfectly placed, the bartenders are friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The pizza was excellent -- flavorful, hot, and done just right. We also tried the meatloaf, and it genuinely reminded us of our grandmother's from years ago -- comforting, hearty, and full of flavor. That's not something you find everywhere. Even in the middle of winter, the place had a warm, lively vibe. We ended up having a great conversation with someone we later found out was the owner -- just chatting about everyday life. That kind of genuine hospitality says a lot. Good food, great service, and an easygoing atmosphere. Thanks for a great experience -- we'll definitely be back!

The…read morebluefish pate itself was good, but rather on the salty side, so serving it with salt and vinegar chips made it pretty much inedibly salty (this was taken off the bill when the bartender noticed we didn't eat more than one bite each). My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

We both remarked that, because the fish here always tastes so fresh, we tend to order it every time. The menu offers early evening prix fixe options we regretted missing because the prices are wildly cost effective. We had the roasted panko haddock, prepared with roasted shrimp, citrus beurre blanc, roasted potatoes, and asparagus. It was delicious. The citrus beurre blanc leaned more buttery than citrusy, but it was still very good. The haddock was cooked perfectly. The honey mustard salmon, served with cranberry compote, roasted potatoes, and asparagus, was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. The honey mustard flavor was perhaps too subtle, but only because it was so good--we would have welcomed more of it. The complimentary bread service included several pieces of fresh, hot, crusty bread served with rich herbed butter. The bar atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, and it was nice to see so many happy customers. We enjoyed champagne, wine, and mocktails. It's great to revisit this nostalgic space and enjoy its consistently good food.
