We're bonkers about Crazy Shirt! Ever since getting my first Crazy Shirt back in the early 90's from Vail, CO, I've been impressed by their quality and great designs that are funny, whimsical or works of art. We've visited almost all of the stores in the Hawaiian Islands and we just came from the one in San Diego the night before heading up the coast to LA. This one in Laguna Beach is right on the Pacific Coast Hwy, mere steps across the street from the beach, so it is "fitting" to sell beach themed sportswear. Vanessa was a great help in finding sizes and showing off new designs that they received that morning. Each Crazy Shirt store usually has special designs peculiar to that area. Since this is the only Laguna Beach location, I got a a painted lifeguard tower on a blue background that looks really cool. My wife got a really cute beach puppies design. The shirts are pricey, but the quality is top notch. read more

Visited the Laguna Beach shop and found the new shirts I wanted. The Salesperson was very helpful and really like their current designs.

I've been in here several times. I never really see anything that interests me. I tend not to be the kind of guy who buys t-shirts with lots of print on them. Plus I can't get past paying that much for a t-shirt (although they are good quality). My wife, however, has purchased a few nice t-shirts with attractive & subtle designs which she has found on the small "sale" rack hidden in the back corner of the store. Sales people seem to be nice although a couple times I've been in they have been slightly aggressive in pushing specific shirts I have no interest in. read more

August 24, 2019 We been on the crazy shirts since the 80's and still have them. They are very well made and last to everyday washing. We have been to many locations which most are now closed. My favorite was inside ceasar in las Vegas. They use to be fun and had cool packing which made for a great gift Such the money dyed shirts came in a money bag. The coffee came in a coffee nean bag. The beer dyed came in a beer can. This was before they got cheap and lazy maybe why so many are closed. We went to San Diego where we ways bought shirts but one of the shops wads closed lucky the other was open We order on line but one shirt was too small 6wr are here to exchange it. The dyes are mildly scented so if you like pot vet the hemped dyed or the blue curacao dyed even the chlie pepper is good. After a couple of washes the sent disappeared but the cors stay true they are worth the almost 40 bucks each. read more

We were vacationing in Laguna Beach, and were privileged to meet Rayna at Crazy Shirts. She was the most kind and helpful salesperson I think I've ever met!! She even took a few minutes out of one of her breaks to show us how to get to the library yesterday (I am disabled, and needed to find a handicapped-accessible restroom nearby). Rayna is the best!! Crazy Shirt is a home grown store which started out over 50 years ago in Honolulu, HI. They started out small but are an international company now known for their soft comfortable shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, pants, bathing suits and unique beachwear. The shirts are either the silk screen type or the hand dyed from many of natures products such as Crater Ash dyed from Hawaii, Wine dyed, Kona coffee dyed, Chocolate dyed, Beer dyed, Blue Curaçao Liquor dyed, Chile dyed plus about 7 more different dyed colors available. The dyed products are available in tops and bottoms for both female and male and kids. The women's clothing comes in several styles with many tropical flower designs. Some of their beach shorts are reversible with nice patterns/colors on each side. The men's clothing seems to have more water or surfing patterns to free form hand painted designs. The dyed fabric clothing has the typical color of the dye with a design usually relating to the source of the dye. All pretty nice long wearing casual beach apparel. Been shopping here for over 20 years always trying to find the unique pieces for me or gifts for friends. Sales staff has always been real friendly and helpful. Going to this store was an amazing experience. They have some nice shirts, some cool designs, some funny shirts, etc. That said, the level of their service is beyond comprehension. Imagine a staff that is trained better and is more focused on their customers than the staff at a 5 star hotel or restaurant, except... they sell Tshirts. Yes, that sounds strange. Yes, it was strange and surprising and confusing. I recently bought a $120,000 Mercedes and the staff at this store treated me better and knew more about their shirts, their history, and their craftsmanship than anyone at the Mercedes dealership I went to. Yes, their Tshirts are expensive. That said, I don't think it would be fair to call them the Mercedes Benz of Tshirts because my Benz is garbage and my experience with MB was/is awful. Crazy Shirts is the Rolls Royce of Tshirt stores. I never would have imagined such a thing existed. They have Tshirts about wine, made out of wine! They have Tshirts about coffee, made with coffee! They have Tshirts about money, made with actual money!!! T-shirt Game = Level 1,000. Customer Service = Level 1,000. I would really like to meet the people who are responsible for starting this brand and building their culture. If they write a book, I'll be the first in line to buy it. Every business should be run this way. If every business was run this way, the world would be a better place. read more

Dear Crazy Shirts employee, You probably don't remember me, I walked into your shop a while back during an afternoon visit to Laguna. You welcomed us, we wandered around looking at the t-shirts, you noticed my hubs Yankee hat, we mentioned that this was our first trip out west, you asked how we liked it so far, we commented that Laguna was beautiful. And then you offered me a sticker from a basket on the counter, usually sold for $2. I protested, you insisted and told us to enjoy the rest of our visit. We had a great walk around downtown and that OC sticker with a surfer dude silhouette was a fantastic symbol of the type of folks we met in Laguna. Thanks for being so hospitable. I came in with my family to see only one woman was working and running the shop that day, but even though she was helping other customers and print the register, she was still very attentive to my needs despite all the people she was also helping. Always nice to find a Crazy Shirts store. Love the feel of their Pima collection. Been loving their designs for a long time. Always made me cringe, however, with the shipping costs online (though if you wait you can usually get shipping for free via some kind of special deal) -- in a store, however, you never need to worry about that. Women's Shoreline twill shorts. I have ordered these shorts and when they came in the hem on the bottom at the leg opening was creased and the color in the crease was much darker and the fold was much lighter. I sent these back and the next pair I received was just the same. We called and received another pair and they are the same. We are currently sending back the third pair and not requesting another. This is a very nice looking place.great location love the shirts. WOULD NEVER GO BACK! The woman with long dark hair was so rude and nasty to one of her employees. Screaming to her that she was indigent and homeless,I quickly ran my mother out of there and told several people entering the establishment to not buy from this place because of the character assassination that I just experienced. I'm from Dallas Texas and I came into crazy shirts not intending to buy anything, just to look. But James asked if we'd ever been there before and started telling us about the natural dyes used for the fabrics and immediately got us interested in the shirts. He was funny and clearly proud of the products the store sells. He showed us a ton of shirts in every size and even showed us some of their swim stuff that was water resistant just because it was cool. He never seemed annoyed by our questions or bothered to assist us in any way. He said he'd only been working there for two months but he knew so much about anything and everything we asked him about. More stores would benefit from hiring people that genuinely care about their business and their customers. I ended up spending over $100 and felt like it was the best purchases I made while in California. Went to the Laguna beach store today while on vacation. I've been coming for years. The quality of the shirts are excellent and last forever. Today, the sales person James went out of his way to help me when I started coughing and couldn't stop. He run next door and got me a cup of water. If you do visit, don't stand to close to the happy one, 'Gerly"? no hygiene and the one that seems to manage will talk about you just as you leave the store. RUDE!
