This is our second time here. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. The only reason this is not a five star review is because my husband wanted to mix flavors and was told they couldn't. My issue was it went from they couldn't because it's would be nasty. I told them that my husband wanted the flavors so it would be on him. Then, I was told they couldn't because it was one flavor per bowl. I asked him if that was the policy than why did he say no the first time because it would be nasty. Customer Service Tip: Give the customer what they ask for and make them pay for it. There are wayyyyyyy to many sub zero places around to go to one that limits you. Also, it's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Overall, the people that made our ice cream was helpful and the ice cream is always good. They got so many different flavors and options which you can mix together. First time being to this place, and I'd say taste wise, they are pretty solid. They had a limit of 10 people inside at a time, but had no one there to really watch that portion as there were more than 10 people inside when I visited. Seating currently, isn't really available unless you sit outside, which is understandable because of covid and this particular location's 10 person limit. Taste of their items is incredibly sweet. As you can see from the previous Yelper's reviews or even on their menu, expect the sweetest of sweet from this place. Thankfully, they do have less sweet options and they also allow you to make your own cup of ice cream, so that's a plus as well if you happen to come and don't necessarily want a cup full of sugar. Place is clean and they have closed the bathroom. So really, I'd say this place is great for picking up a quick bite of ice cream and walking around outside or sitting outside to munch it real quick. Food: I got the Thai tea flavored ice cream with their original milk base (forgot what they call it), but it was AMAZING. I'm super picky on ice cream, and I think Creamistry is one of the best in the Houston area. They make the waffle in front of you, so you know that it's fresh and crunchy to perfection. The ice cream here is pretty pricy (about $6 a regular sized cup without the waffle), but totally worth it. Watching the employees make the ice cream is awesome too, and very entertaining for children to watch. The only thing that sucks is that you can't try any flavors, but still 100% phenomenal ice cream! Service: the people that work here are so helpful. Right when we walked in the door, there was someone there to greet us and explained the menu. One of my favorite ice cream places! What I mostly love is how fresh everything. The ice cream, as you probably know already, is made right in front of you using liquid nitrogen, so it's a pretty cool experience. Also the waffles are made to order, they're not just sitting out on the counter for who knows how many days like other ice cream places (I won't mention names...) I've tried a few flavors, but my favorite ones are all the cereal flavors! Especially French Toast Crunch. They use the actual cereal so it tastes like you're eating the most amazing bowl of cereal you've ever had in a creamy ice cream form. Another cool thing about the cereal flavors is that you really don't need a topping ($1 each) because the cereal is already mixed in. The ice cream is a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it! I always come here for my ice cream fix. I was a bit skeptical of this dry ice make your ice cream fresh concept that seems to be the hot new trend. I am happy to say that I am no longer a skeptic! The interior is bright and clean. It's a pretty popular establishment with lots of hustling and bustling. Everyone is busy. Visiting this place with some kiddos definitely has its positives. You get to oouu and aahh at the dry ice pouring out from under the barrier shields below the ice cream makers. Each order is make fresh from cream and various flavors and mix-ins. The order takes a bit to prepare, so expect a bit of a wait, especially if there is a line. That first bite though, makes it all worth it. The cotton candy flavor was delicious and not overpowering in sweetness. The texture was super creamy and smooth yet light, unlike other ice creams I have had. It had a great mouthfeel of silky, luxurious heaven. The cake batter was also quite delicious but a lot sweeter than cotton candy.. Prepare to drop some money for this premium product. With eight people manning the front, and given the area, it's not surprising the prices are a bit higher than average for similar desserts. It is located near the galleria which can be a hard place to get to but if you're already in the area, definitely stop by on a hot sunny day for some ice cream. OK, my fingers hurt now. This is my third review today, but i owe it 2 the people to write my review on Creamistry. I'm normally very detailed but I'm a try to summarize this one real quick b/c i wanna watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 lol!!!! I had the fruity pebbles. The first thing that i noticed as soon as i took my first bite was, "hmmmm this ice cream tastes different than other ice cream that i have had." The ice cream reminds me of buttermilk kind of. Its weird to explain. I think because they are making it "fresh from scratch" and making it with the liquid nitrogen is the reason that it tastes different. I don't know. All i know is it does taste different. Back to my fruity pebbles.... As i kept eating it the taste grew on me. The ice cream is not mushy. It's kind of thick. I would definitely recommend everyone to go and try it out for yourself, because they have big menu with lots of different flavors. Something for everybody. Do not be a plain jane and come to the fancy ice cream place and order original vanilla and some strawberries on top. U can get that anywhere. Step out yo comfort zone and mix it up! You can pick from a list of creations from their menu or you can create your own. I don't like a lot of choices b/c i get overwhelmed so i just went with fruity pebbles b/c who doesn't like FRUITY PEBBLES CEREAL. Come on now... u know u like fruity pebbles, don't front. My only gripe about this place is the price. $5.95 for a regular sized ice cream cup and its $1 for each additional topping. That can add up easily and not something I can eat on a regular basis. It's cool to see the nitrogen flash freeze the ice cream, and they did have a lot of options and variety of toppings. I went with the special earl grey ice cream w/ mochi as the topping. I liked the flavor and smoothness of the ice cream w/ the mochi mixed in. Before today, I was unaware they had Creamistry in Texas, I only had it in California. It definitely lived up to expectations and was just as good as I remembered it. I would choose this over Pinkberry any day! In case you were wondering I've only had one thing here and it's my go to. I've heard so much good things about this ice cream spot, luckily the line wasn't too long when I got there. Very small inside, so it looked like there were a lot of people in there. Darlene, the one who was working the cash register that night, is so sweet and friendly! My only complaint is that the line system is weird. The line was long but you had to walk all the way to the other side of the store to order and pay, while the people who already ordered and payed walks in the opposite direction. The place is small so it's kind of unorganized. It's also uncomfortable sitting down and having people walk by them with the occasional shoulder bump. I definitely noticed that the consistency was different from regular ice cream. I mentioned to my bf that it stayed cold longer and didn't melt as quickly. Do it for the novelty, do it for the 'gram. And that's it. The ice cream is pricey, but it's actually a pretty good portion considering how they're using liquid nitrogen to freeze your ice cream. When you bite into it you're gonna realize that it's super creamy. Like almost UNCOMFORTABLY creamy. Why? Because the faster you freeze the liquid base of cream, the smaller your ice crystals will get, resulting in creamier ice cream. I for one have learned that I actually despise this consistency. While the flavor is still great, the texture isn't my favorite, so it's a personal preference sort of thing. Choose a flavor, then choose a base (milk or coconut milk essentially). Looks like they got lots of flavors, and if you want an Asian-esque ice cream try using coconut milk instead (Taro + coconut milk is spot on). Toppings are additional and tbh, I'd advise against them. So not worth the extra dollar and you're here for the N2 ice cream, not that extra fluffy stuff. If you do decide to get a topping though, put it on top... I had cheesecake bites and stupidly asked for it to be mixed in, resulting in some weird and texturally unappealing creation. Plenty of seating, easy parking, easy-enough way of ordering. Cashier had the straightest face on though.. and with the atmosphere of th establishment, you'd think the employee would follow through with it. 6/10, would come again every once in a while. read more

The ice cream is rich, thick, and creamy. It does not melt as usual like your traditional ice cream. They also use Nitrogen to make the ice cream and it creates awesome white smoke. I'd recommend getting the Thai tea flavor. Get the regular cream milk. It is more rich and tastes better. I made a mistake of getting coconut milk and it was bland with my green tea flavor. It's counter service and the glass partition allows you to see the entire process of how the nitrogen icecream works! They basically mix the milk and whatever toppings you want into a bowl. Flash freeze it with nitrogen and "bam", you have a more fluffier and rich icecream texture that will make you a believer! Instead of going for my usual favorite mint chocolate chip, i tried their thai tea! i also asked for mochi mixed in and for it to be served in a chocolate cup instead of a waffle. believe me when i say this THE CREAMIEST ice cream i've ever had in my life. it wasn't like overly soft or mushy or anything, but firm yet still so smooth and silky. i had no idea ice cream could be like that. i liked the mochi addition for a different chew inside the ice cream, but i didn't really need the chocolate bowl; it was dark and too hard and it crumbled into powder when you chewed into it. i recommend the waffle instead! I remember how excited I got when I watched home cooks play with liquid nitrogen during Masterchef Australia's Heston Blumenthal week, and so when I found about this place while yelping for a date-idea, I was overjoyed!!! :) We went there on a friday night around 8.30pm and there was quite a bit of crowd. As soon as you enter you feel like you are in a really cool lab due to white smoke floating around :). I got the tiramisu flavor with chocolate chips, walnuts and nutella sauce while my date was brave enough to get the cookie butter with marshmallows in a tempered chocolate bowl. The regular size is $5.95 (a little pricey) but for a big heaping scoop. The ice cream is really thick which was very enjoyable for me so I'd probably come here again when I'm craving something sweet. Creamistry lives up to the hype. My hubby got mint icecream with oreo topping. The icecream was really creamy and minty, and the crunchy oreo topping complimented it very well while adding good texture. I got the cinnamon toast crunch icecream with brownie bite topping. This was our preferred icecream flavor. Sooo good and very crunchy! Only negative is you can't really tell how creamy the icecream is because it's loaded with crunchy cereal! And the brownie bites added a nice chocolate flavor. The soft chewy texture of the brownies complimented the crunch perfectly. Mmmm. Yes, it's pricey at $15 total for 2, but they do give a lot of icecream. Mine looked like a lot more icecream than my hubbys, but I think it's bc the cinnamon toast crunch adds a lot of volume. I like that they are very creative with their offerings but my choice wasn't as good as it seemed like it would be. I got the Matcha Affogato. It was very small (smaller than the picture showed it would be) and pretty pricey, pricier than California. The taste was fine, nothing too special. There were chunks of ice that didn't need to be there. The description also said vanilla ice cream as the base but I didn't really taste much vanilla flavor. While my choice was just okay, I would be interested in trying other flavors in the future.
