My friends and I were out and about running errands after our ladies brunch/late birthday celebration for a friend. One of them really wanted coffee... and then a chocolate chip cookie. We were at Crate and Barrel, so it was perfect that we were close to this Tiny's Milk and Cookies. I used to frequent the West U location during grad school. I thought this location was cute with the white building and picket fence with sign. There's an ample parking lot and street parking along the apartments nearby. You line up at the window to place an order. When we got there, there really wasn't a line, but then a huge crowd came. My friend ended up not ordering coffee, but she and my other friend tried the hibiscus coconut iced tea with a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. They liked it and said it didn't have an overpowering coconut flavor. We all had the pistachio neopolitan ice cream that was a blend of pistachio, vanilla and fresh strawberry. I thought it was a unique combo that didn't include chocolate. You could see the vanilla bean in the vanilla, which was great. The pistachio had that extract taste that I didn't care for. My favorite was the strawberry because it was fresh fruit and added tartness to the other overly sweet flavors. I wish I had gone with the solid strawberry flavor but wanted to see what the neopolitan was like. When I ordered, I asked if they had the waffle cone and how big it was. He used his hands to measure how big but then said they were out, so I got the smallest cup which they filled generously. I waited for my ice cream at the pick up window for a while until someone asked if I had received my order. Clearly not if I'm standing there looking and waiting by the window. I finally got my ice cream. A couple other mishaps is that they originally told my friends who ordered before me that they didn't have pistachio but they did. When I sat down at one of the small table and seating areas they had, I told my friends that I really preferred the cone, but I was told they ran out. My friend said they didn't because on the other side of the ordering window, there was a glass jar full of waffle cones. I swear, did someone do inventory?! I don't think they know what they have in stock. Also, behind the scenes, you could hear the staff saying that they told each other what orders were coming up. The ticketing system of orders was clearly off that day. Knocked off a star for that reason. I'm excited that there's a Tiny's Milk and Cookies opening up near me in The Heights on White Oak across from Coltivare. It should've opened over the summer, but I guess it's delayed. It would be the perfect location to go with their neighborhood, local feel. My most memorable ice cream flavor was blueberry cheesecake. I hope they bring that back. read more

Stopped by on a Wednesday morning because I had heard good things about Tiny's. I got an iced latte with honey lavender syrup, a chocolate croissant, and a decorated sugar cookie, which all came out to about $16. They have a connected parking lot and a walk-up ordering counter, all very convenient. Everything I ordered was pretty good. The latte had good lavender flavor and may have been a touch too sweet for my liking but nothing to really complain about. The chocolate croissant was LARGE and the pastry was super flaky and yummy. Tiny's Milk & Cookies is in such a quaint house with a walk-up counter that serves cookies, ice cream, and pastries. The Cookie Crew run club meets here every Monday morning, and the chocolate chip cookies are discounted to $2 instead of the usual $3. The chocolate chip cookie was so gooey and soft, and the soy milk was somehow the tastiest soy milk I've had. It was so good. There is a parking lot as well as plenty of free street parking. There is little seating, and it is all outdoors as you cannot go inside the house. There is no restroom. They could really use some more tables and chairs for people to sit and relax or chat because the ambience is so nice. read more

It's a cute, quaint building that gives off "walk up" bakery vibes. There's also fun places to snap pictures on the side of the building. There is some seating outside to enjoy a nice day after grabbing your sweet treats. They offer a wide assortment from ice cream to cookies to bread loaves to cinnamon rolls and coffee. My favorite and forever go to are the chocolate chip cookies and the cinnamon rolls. I have tried a few other items like their sugar cookie with icing and the morning bun, and although they weren't bad, I prefer the CC cookie and cinnamon roll. Tinys Milk and Cookies has been on my "Places to try" list for a while now. I had cravings for a chocolate chip cookie and thought I'd be a perfect time to give them a try. I went mid-week around 6pm and it wasn't busy at all. I'd imagine there may be a wait on the weekends because the parking lot was fairly large. There doesn't seem to be any indoor dining. You just order your food and go. There were a variety of ice cream flavors including a seasonal flavor which was lemon tart. I decided to go with the strawberry which was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The texture felt like a hybrid between a Sherbet and ice cream. I would order it again. The star of the show was the chocolate chip cookie. It had huge chunks of chocolate chips which I loved. The edges were crispy but the cookie was chewy. It had a nice balance of salt so it wasn't overly sweet. The middle of the cookie is sort of some shaped and it feels like a nice surprise getting "extra" cookie. The cookie wasn't warm which was somewhat disappointing but it was so tasty. It reminds me of Chick-fil-a's oatmeal chocolate chip cookie but better and of course without oatmeal. Stumbled upon this place while visiting from San Diego and I was blown away! The chocolate chip mint ice cream is made with a real mint flavor and was absolutely fantastic! This was such a cute, intimate little house tucked away in a street covered with trees. THe parking was really easy and the walk-up option was so cute.
