I love their location and products. I understand that they run a business with a lot of competition, a lot of their items seem over priced. I have ended up in the past just waiting to have it come in the mail after getting it online. The worst part is that if you have questions they may or may not know or help you. This place has very good selection, but their service is hit or miss. They have a variety of high-end dog food that often comes in multiple sizes. The staff, however, make me not want to come back. Sometimes, my experience is perfectly pleasant. One staff member has helped me to pick out dog food more than once. On more than one occasion, a couple of the staff members have felt the need to make rude and judgmental comments about everything from what kind of car I own (why? seriously) to the kind of product I was asking for (they hadn't heard of it, so I must not exist--so helpful). A basic rule of customer service should be that you don't roll your eyes and sneer at someone who just bought for $50 worth of products from you. I just went in for the first time to get dog food. I've got a fat little beast who needs to lose a few #'s. The guy working just happened to be at the door so he opened it gallantly for us. He was very knowledgeable about the weight control foods and helped me decide on the bright green bag (which I hope will help me remember which to buy next time ) I thought the prices were pretty comparable to most pet stores and its really close to home. Definitely more affordable than the stuff I was buying at the vet. Now I just have to get my husband to keep the little beasty on her diet! read more

My cat has asthma and this is the only place I can find that sells the type of cat litter that doesn't flare up her asthma. I drive quite a ways to shop her but it is worth it. The staff is very friendly and always offers to help me carry out the two bags of litter that I buy. I also like shopping here for cat toys and various other things for all my other pets. The prices here on the cat food I buy (Science Diet) are WAY better than the big box stores. I save $7-10 a bag by buying here. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. We generally go here for guinea piggy supplies. They're cheaper then alot of stores and its got the mom and pop feel to it as well. The staff are mostly friendly, funny, helpful and knowledgeable of anything I ask. I really like this pet store! read more

I have a chameleon who eats crickets and unfortunately this place is the only store around who sells them. My biggest complaint is the customer service. Not sure if he is the owner or not but there is an older guy, skinny, gray hair, who is there almost always. He refuses to welcome me, doesn't seem to know how to make eye contact and literally rolls his eyes all over the place when I ask for crickets. He'll only sell me 50 at a time for whatever reason and is very rude about it when I ask for more. I don't get it. Why open a store if you hate people? read more

I've been a customer of Creature Comforts for over over 30 years now and am very happy with the wide variety of dog and cat food they sell, as well as their fish, birds, and pet supplies. Their staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Years ago, we bought a male kitten there who lived to be 18 years old. I always look forward to visiting their macaws. I said 'hello' to one of them a few times with no response, so I stopped talking and started to walk away. I thought that the bird had said 'shut up' and asked the very nice man there whether it said 'shut up'. He said that he didn't, but that he said 'knock it off." I've been here a few times, and every time I see a new concerning condition. A few years back I bought a hamster that was covered in blood because they were letting them fight, he ended up living for a little over 2 years without a tail and ripped ears. Today I went in to see multiple dead and sick betta fish, and dirty looking tanks. For the price you pay here Id at least expect them to take care of their animals. read more

The store has a wide variety of good quality supplies for dogs and cats. Their fish supplies are strictly department store quality as are the fish themselves. Having kept aquariums before, I would not shop here if I were still keeping fish. The prices are high - definitely list price. But for certain things, like large bags of premium dog food, the prices are very competitive, especially when you consider that you do not have to pay shipping. So for large 40-50 lb bags of high-end dog food, we buy it here because the total price beats anything I can find anywhere else, including the internet. The staff are friendly enough and they do attend to you when you need them, but honestly, they really seem disinterested. Not rude, but just going through the motions and waiting for you to check out so they can take your money. Overall, I'm not a fan of this place, but the dog food is priced well, so they will continue to get that business from me as long as that holds up. read more

I went in yesterday, got no welcoming into the store, there was one other person in the store besides me and I never once got asked for help, i had to ask someone to come back to the fish section to help me get a pleco, not to mention my pleco died overnight there was also a dead fish in the middle of the aisle. The people were rude and seemed to hate there jobs. Never going back. read more

I've been going here for years- but my most recent experience was so amazing that it prompted me to write this review. They have a very good selection, my favorite is all of the bulk dog chews and treats! Normally I know what I need and so I don't have a bunch of questions for the staff though they are always good about asking if I need help with anything. I went in this time with questions on a couple different options for things to use so that I could control my strong and energetic German shepherd puppy on walks. The woman that helped me was very kind and took the time not only to throughly explain the diffences between the items that I was looking at, but once I decided on what would work best (ended up going with the Halti head collar) she tried it on my dog to make sure it would fit properly. She even taught me how to help my puppy get used to it, and did some training with him so that I would know what to do at home! read more

I've been going to Creature Comforts for thirty years. I love the variety available for dogs and cats. I bought a pair of litter mate kittens there around that time. They were a skit once they got over the tummy troubles. They always help, all have a great sense of humor which makes going there fun. Love the birds although with an Abysinian cat it would be stressful all around. There prices are fair, they are super convenient. I really, really like them. This pet store is awesome! We recently got an aquarium and are total beginners. We ended up buying 2 fish that were aggressive towards our other peaceful tankmates. Also three bottom feeders that we didnt want. I called them to ask if they would take the fish off our hands for us because I just couldnt flush them. They took the fish for me and we ended up browsing and making a small purchase. Excellent customer service, wide variety of products. We will definitely be back! read more

We drive an extra 10 miles to this store when there are LOTS of places nearer that sell pet food, including Fred Meyer, grocery stores and Petco, but it is well worth it! This is a great place to get good quality pet food at a low price. We get the food we want for around 20 percent less at Creature Comforts. The clerks are friendly and helpful and have lots of knowledge about animals, which they obviously love. The clerks are also interesting people, in themselves and we enjoy talking to them. Some stores have obviously bored clerks who wish the day were over already, but not at this store! The store has a large selection of wonderful things that are not at some of the most other stores. One example is lots of different dog treats that you can buy in bulk. My friend has a large dog, and she loves bringing home treats from this store to last several days for a low price. Otherwise, she wouid just not give her dog treats, which means she and the dog miss out on the good times! Also, there are animals for us to visit and enjoy in the store: Birds, fish, and so on. . read more
