They're happy to help you try on swatches, sample products, and offer personalized recommendations without ever feeling pushy. I've discovered a few of my holy grail products thanks to their suggestions. (Tinted lip balms by ILIA!!) The selection is impressive. You'll find everything from skincare and makeup to shampoos and perfumes, all available in store. It's such a great hands on experience, especially if you're looking to explore brands or switch to clean beauty. Parking will be metered on the main road, or look for residential parking on the side streets. If you're in the Larchmont area, I definitely recommend stopping by. A few weeks ago, I stopped by this location and had the best customer service experience thanks to two incredible employees. I wish I had gotten their names! One helped me perfectly color-match the Tower 28 concealer/sunscreen and suggested some fun new finds, while the other surprised me with a full-size sample of another product--just because. I have a love/hate relationship with Credo. My first experience was with their San Francisco store where everyone is nice and welcoming--always suggesting their favorite products and offering to make testers to take home. I happened upon one of their big sales, and ended up buying everything from hair products to lip gloss because I loved the friendly associates. I've been to two separate Credo stores in LA, and I always feel pressured to interact with the sales associate...almost in a judgy way because they always seem tired or irritated. I know when I go to Sephora, for instance, an associate is going to help me try on makeup but also give me more space to look around, since the store is so big. Since Credo stores are so small, I always feel like I'm being watched as I shop and try out testers. Associates don't even offer me demos, they just kind of chat and lurk around in an uncomfortable way. During my last visit I had a question about the Tower29 SOS spray, but they didn't seem to know the product very well. That said, I'm giving them 3 1/2 stars--mostly for their selection of clean beauty, abundance of testers, and recycling program. Maybe I caught both stores on bad days? I'm not sure, but I'm happy to try them out again. Also note that sometimes the stores and website have different sales. The stores also have less of a selection. So far I've purchased: -Kinship facial sunscreen (both Rose & Sport), 5/5 stars. Perfect sunscreen without the white cast. The Sport lasts a very long time and the Rose feels very luxurious. -Kinfield bug spray, 4/5 stars. Very strong smell, but works. -Ceremonia shampoo, leave-in conditioner, re-styling spray, and scalp oil, 3/5. The oil and leave-in conditioner were great, but the other products were okay. -Tower29 Lip Gloss, 5/5. Love this sheer but sparkly gloss! It has good coverage without being sticky. read more

The single-star rating I gave this establishment reflects my disappointment with their poor customer service and selective engagement. Does the staff understand what "Credo" actually means?! Despite having enough staff on duty and only one customer in the store, the employees seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting customers in an inclusive manner. As a person looking to purchase ten gifts and create sets for a bridal party, I found their lack of attention particularly frustrating. If you want to shop Credo, go to their other location which is what I should have done. Moreover, their selective engagement with customers, seemingly based on race, left me feeling unwelcome and upset. I ultimately decided to leave and found another shop north of this establishment that provided a much warmer and what felt like genuinely friendly, experience. . Despite being busy (possibly due to a grand opening), the new shop welcomed us and provided excellent customer service by helping us create our gift sets and even wrapping each one for us. read more

I agree with what some reviewers have pointed out here regarding service: it needs work. They are friendly as most staff can be, but one can notice how they judge you according to how you look and dress, specially when other more "preferably looking", I guess, customers enter the store. Not compelled to visit again unless there is something I truly need to get from the shop (and is not online). read more

I went in looking to exchange something I had purchased online plus look for a few different products. As soon as I walked in the staff greeted me and asked if I need any help. Completely the opposite of clean beauty. The only thing this place gave me was an eye infection!! The makeup artists are pushy and do not clean their brushes. I was just trying to shop and ended up being persuaded to have them do my eye makeup. You would think the brushes the artists have are clean. I had to go to the eye doctor after my left eye turned red and would not stop watering. I couldn't wear eye makeup for a week. I called Credo as a courtesy call and they tried to gaslight me into saying it was the product I was allergic to. Then all they said were sorry and return the product I bought. They should have reimbursed me for my eye doctor visit and prescription instead. Honestly disappointed in how they handled the situation and will never step a foot in there again. Such a pointless store. You can get all these products elsewhere. Sephora has never once given me an eye infection...the irony. read more
