the memphis (PULLED PORK, KC SWEET BBQ SAUCE, HOME MADE SOUR DILL PICKLE), side of fries

Food was all right. Pickles on the Memphis were tasty and the overall food was decent, except for the fries. There was so much salt on the fries that I regretted ordering it. The pulled pork in the sandwich was also good and needed more sauce, which I could have self-served with the sauce squeeze bottles at the counter. Also had a draft blueberry lemonade cider, brand unknown.

Came in for my favorite Dallas brisket sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was really good. Big thick four inch strips of brisket on a bun with pickles and purple onions. You have 4 different voices of bbq sauce to put on it. I ate it so fast that I barely had time to eat my baked beans. The beans were very hot and tasty with a good spice too it and kind spicy. The beans could have been cooked a little bit longer as they were still kind of hard. But overall this place is my go to bbq place. I think their brisket sandwiches are a couple dollars less than that other bbq joint in downtown Vancouver.

I stopped into Creekside Barbecue in Salmon Creek and it was excellent! I'll admit, when I first saw that my meal came to about $29 for one person, I hesitated--but wow, was I surprised by how much food that actually included. It easily could've fed two or three people! The place itself is super cute and immediately smelled heavenly the second I walked in. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service had that genuine small-town kindness that makes you want to come back. I ordered the pulled pork with two sides, and it was delicious. The pork was tender, juicy, and flavorful on its own, but the different barbecue sauces really made it fun to personalize each bite. I especially loved the Kansas City smoky barbecue sauce--it had that perfect balance of sweet and smoky. The potato salad was good, though I'll admit I still prefer my mama's version , and the cornbread was tasty, especially for restaurant cornbread (though I'm a little partial to my own!). For the amount of food and the quality, it was absolutely worth it. Next time, I think I'll grab a pound of the pulled pork to take home and make my own sides. I even joined their loyalty club while I was there--always a nice bonus! I'll definitely be back, and I'm already thinking this would be the perfect place to pick up food when my sons visit for Christmas. Great food, great people, and a cozy local gem in Salmon Creek!

The food was really good. The space is small and a little loud much like a fast food environment, I would definitely get takeout from here, but wouldn't go for a dinner to catch up with friends ( why I had dinner there) as it is hard to have a convo.

Finally decided to try this place today. It's been on my Yelp must-try list for awhile. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Not too busy when we arrived around noon, but people started rolling in right after we ordered our food. It's located in a strip mall near Salmon Creek area. There's plenty of parking available. Walked in and was greeted by a young lady behind the counter. She was friendly and helpful. We ordered the Tri-Mountain Plate which includes 3 meats, 2 sides and a cornbread muffin for $26.95. We were so happy we shared it because it was A LOT of food. We picked the brisket, pulled pork and pork rib tips for our meat choices. We picked mac and cheese and collard greens for our sides. My husband also wanted to try a sausage link, so we added one for $4.95 and an extra cornbread muffin for $1.50. It all came to about $44, which included a pint of beer. It was very reasonable given the amount of food. Our meats were good. Not sure they were actually smoked that day, but we were satisfied with our choices overall. The pulled pork was a bit dry, but their red sauce helped with that. The mac and cheese was delicious! We would definitely order that again. The spices were perfect, and that hint of worcestershire sauce was bomb. The cornbread muffin had a honey butter sweetness to it, and it was moist. My husband enjoyed the collard greens, but they were too spicy for my liking. Overall friendly service, clean inside and reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back. I'd really like to try their smoked chicken, sweet potatoes, and horseradish coleslaw next time! Would recommend.

We ordered meat by the pound. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, slaw and cornbread. Nom nom nom everything was so good. The slaw is the best and very unique.

Very good option for BBQ in the area. I tried the brisket (very good), pulled pork (great) and ribs (amazing). Food came out fast and their selection of sauces met all my needs. And as a bonus, their sweet tea tastes just like you're in the south. Friendly service, cozy interior where you pay at the counter.

Delicious BBQ! We ordered the ribs, brisket, and chicken. The ribs came right off of the bone. Delicious smoky flavor. The chicken meat was flavorful and moist. The skin was crisp. The brisket was not as moist as the ribs and chicken. But with the four types of sauces, the brisket tasted good. The corn bread was on the dry side. The baked beans were tender and seasoned well. The potato salad had more mustard than I'm accustomed to. But still wonderful. The banana pudding was tasty. Definitely order it! Service was good. Indoor seating. Casual atmosphere. We'll try the sausage and pulled pork the next time. Definitely a place to try, if you love BBQ! Rated this place 4 out of 5. To rate it a 5, the brisket and cornbread would need to be more moist. We did enjoy the smoky flavor of the BBQ.

The staff was very friendly, and served delicious Huckleberry whiskey. The menu, though small, had to many delicious options. I ended up being unable to decide, and got the same pull pork sandwhich my husband chose. And dang was it good. I am honestly not sure if I ate the sandwhich, or just blinked and had it disappear. I can tell you my husband hadn't laughed as hard that entire trip, as he did when he saw me reliaze it was gone. If your looking for a good place, with strong drinks, and food that will make you wanna drive hours to have again. Then stop in this hole in the wall today.

Took a coworker out for lunch and found this place through Yelp. We arrived shortly after opening,…read moreso the restaurant was quiet and the staff was very friendly and attentive. My biggest disappointment was finding out that the two items that caught my attention on Yelp--the brisket mac and cheese and the tacos--were only available during happy hour. I even offered to pay the regular menu price for either item, but was told I'd have to come back during happy hour if I wanted to order them. Instead, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The pulled pork sandwich was decent, but the flavor felt a little flat and could have used more seasoning. I was also surprised there wasn't any salt and pepper on the table, so if that's something you like, be sure to ask for it. Overall, the food was good and the service was good. While I enjoyed the experience, it's probably not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again, though I'd stop in if I was already in the area.

The gentleman who runs the place is very friendly. I noticed the price for the special was $12.95 but then he told me it was $14.06 with tax. The sign that he has that states special of the day "brisket sandwich" $12.95 and does not state anything about plus tax at all. So that was a surprise. The other thing the sign does not say it comes with a small bag of lays chips either. I guess the chips he gives you is consolation for the fatty, salty, chewy, fatty small two pieces of brisket he puts on the sandwich. Plus who adds lettuce to a brisket sandwich anyways. I took two bites. The first bite was full of fat and tough chewy, salty brisket. The second bite the whole piece of fatty brisket came out from between the buns and the sandwich eating part for me was over. I left the bun, lettuce and pickles on the to go container and tried to choke down a bite or two of some of the salty, fatty, undercooked brisket that remained. To me, brisket should be tender and you should be able to gently bite into it and you get your bite. This was spongy and too tough to even bite into. Then, I went over to the taco truck and got a quesadilla because I was still hungry and their food was not much better either. Oh well not my day at the food carts in downtown Battleground Washington.

As…read moreyou walk up they have a very large outdoor seating area for at least 80 people, the main entrance has Podnah's name posted within a rustic building. The building is a very casual place, as you walk in the friendly staff greet you and ask you to take a seat wherever you like. We decided to sit in the backside of the building it is a very peaceful section by the kitchen, you can smell the amazing smokey scent of the bbq from there. The walls are covered black and white cowboy pictures. As someone mention in their review, parking is a little challenging but we found parking in the neighborhood within 5 min. The Menu is simple and to the point, one page is drinks the other page is the BBQ, We shared the Pit Boss Platter, you will find that it feeds 2-3, you get a 1/4 pound of brisket and pulled pork, 2 pork ribs, 1 link (very good size) cornbread and your choice of 2 sides, we choose the collard greens and the the green chile mac and cheese. Everything was amazing. It was plenty for the two of us that shared it, we actually took some of it home, I also tied in the pickles, the are served with pickled onions and jalapeños (yummy). The BBQ flavor was amazing, nice and smoky , great smoke rings, they table drop in three different sauces, a vinegar oil, a surprisingly tasty mustard sauce and their house bbq sauce, they are all great tasting. My son ordered the 2 meat plate, he loved the Brisket and Ribs, he also tried the Pinto beans with Brisket, they were very tasty. Overall Podnah's lived up to the hype. If you are in the area its worth a try.

We ended up cutting things out of our order to compensate for that. There are plenty of really good bbq places in the area that will give you comparable food without that. Neither myself or anyone in my party will be going back while this is still present, sadly.
