Returned to Creekside Cellar and had an amazing experience. My family and I made a specific trip given their love of wine and a connection they feel with the owner. The location is very COVID conscientious and this brought us all a great deal of comfort. That being said, with the spacing for indoor and outdoor seating I would recommend a reservation if that is possible for your schedule. I avoided the sandwiches since they were not to my liking previously and tried the Italian Antipasta/charcuterie. It was excellent. A broad variety of meats, cheeses, olives, and assorted pickled veggies. Also, in an effort to meet the recommendation following my last review, I did follow the guidance of the server and paired the meal with a petite verdot which was outstanding. Creekside was always our favorite restaurant in Evergreen, but sadly, when it reopened after the pandemic everything had changed... Their menu, once full of fabulous salads & sandwiches, now had 1 of each. Their wonderful appetizer selection pretty much only retained their antipasto platter. And the service was abominable. Our waitress was rude, snarky and had an attitude as if we were doing her a favor. Unfortunately, until we hear that it's returned to it's former "glory", we won't be going back. read more

I really like Creekside Cellars. We went there to enjoy some wine and a charcuterie board for my birthday. We sat outside and also enjoyed the creek on a lovely afternoon. I love the charcuterie board, although they could add more meats. The wine is really good. We had to arrive by 3:00 p.m. because they stop serving food at 4:00 and close at 5:00. We would've stayed for dinner but since they close so early we moved to another restaurant nearby. I would rate them 5 stars but for their early hours. I wish this place was also in my hometown. Let's first talk about the atmosphere and ambiance. This place wasn't too fancy, and it didn't break the bank-- it felt like I was right at home as soon as we walked in and were helped by the hostess. I personally ordered the smothered burrito (only because it was a daily special and when I asked the waitress about it, she was super enthusiastic and highly recommended it), and my girlfriend ordered the caesar salad with tomato soup. I was really leaning towards their sandwiches (which looked amazing as well) but I stuck to the waitress' recommendation and I was super relieved that I did. The burrito was pretty light, with good flavors and taste. They didn't overdo it with the fillings, and ingredients and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The caesar salad was mediocre, but the tomato soup was amazing. It was simple, with great texture, definitely making it one of the best tomato soups I've had. To go with the food, we got a white wine flight and ended up taking home a bottle of Viognier, which we really enjoyed. Lastly, we topped the meal off with bread pudding (which I am a huge fan of in general), and I have to say, it was definitely one of the best ones I've had. The meal, service, restaurant, and quality of the entire experience was awesome. Nothing was forced, nothing was overdone, and it was everything you'd want from a winery and a nice, local restaurant. Just had the best time at Creekside Cellars. Coming from Oregon wine country it is a treat when you find a place, when you are traveling, that has wine as good as home. We always take out of town guests to Evergreen and stop by winery. Yesterday The two ladies checking us in and the lady bar tender (shirt blond hair) were so rude to us and a few other guests were saying the same . The owners are wonderful and food is great and of course the views. May want to remind them that guests help with their paychecks. Last full day in Colorado and we were seeking a wine-venture. Due to it being the NY holiday,many vineyards were closed. We then decided to visit this cellar and the city of Evergreen. Just a 30 minute drive and 7,220 feet elevation is the quaint town of Evergreen, CO. I loved this area as it made you feel like you were far away from the hustle of the city. We stopped in for a wine tasting that led to appetizers and a relaxing time on the patio. Staff there said we were lucky that we came in today as there usually is a wait for the patio. Wines, appetizers and service were outstanding !! We enjoyed our wines so much, we brought two bottles home to Hawaii with us. My very first visit was super pleasant and that was years ago. I was spooked that so much time has passed that maybe the quality has changed as well. Turns out it has. It became from super pleasant, to super super pleasant! It also seemed to have gotten much more popular since we had to wait for like 40 minutes to get seated, but luckily there's a lot of shops and scenery to explore while waiting. And you know what? It's worth the wait! We mostly came here for the cheese platter, because I remembered it being really good. All the cheeses were really flavorful and they were generous with the amount they gave. It's probably my absolute favorite cheese platter in Colorado. I'm not sure if my meal is still being served or if it's a limited edition plate, but I ordered the smoked trout salad, and it was so crazy delicious I finished the giant plate in one sitting despite gobbling up the cheese plate beforehand. The trout is surprisingly really fitting with the salad and I felt real healthy and satisfied at the end. Also it just tasted so fresh I'll bet Peter Rabbit would hop all the way here from England just to nibble on this dish. My boyfriend got the black and blue sandwich panini with a pasta salad and both were super tasty too. My family and I have been visiting Creekside since 2007. My husband and I moved from CO in 2014 and have been shipping wine to us once or twice a year since. My husband, kids and I moved to Salt Lake last May 2021, and we are looking forward to visiting Creekside more often in person! Last summer, we were in CO visiting my parents and decided to visit our favorite place, Creekside. We had our children with us because we were in Evergreen exploring all day. It's really our favorite city. Long story short, we had a terrible experience, we feel the server did not want to be kind to us because we had kids with us. And I get it, I have 10 yrs of serving experience and tables with kids are hit or miss. But we have worked really hard to make sure our kids are good when we are out. The experience last summer really was sad for my husband and I because we've never had a bad experience here and we love your wine more than any other wine. (And I understand Covid has made things extremely difficult on all of us, especially those in the food and service industry. I work in a hospital as a nurse so believe me, I understand! But we all need to try and be as positive and friendly as possible!) But!!!!!! On Saturday, there were 4 adults, a 4yr old and an 11 month old, and we wanted to eat here!! We wanted delicious wine and food!! This experience on Saturday completely redeemed the experience from last summer. The hostess, newer to town, use to work at Disney, was gracious, KIND, helpful and did not treat us differently because we had kids with us. We loved her! Then!!!!! Val! Val was our server and OMG!! The hostess lady is super intense and has negative energy. I tried to have a glass of wine and nibbles there and she basically told me they were booked all day. I was wearing shorts and a sweater so not sure if I was too casual. I went to lunch at another place and went back about an hour later and the place was 1/3 full! The gentleman pouring tastings was lovely. Some other guy who was there was stressing about my "ticket" which I was never given. I felt like they thought I was going to rob them which was funny. Next time I'll dress up more so that they treat me nicely. Let's be honest, they're selling $30 bottles of wine. Relax, we're not in Napa!!! Maybe be nice to your customers and they'll buy more! PRE-DINING I had lunch here on a Friday after a visit to the Aveda Tall Grass spa in the area. We found parking easily in the lot located on the other side of the building from Creekside, however I noticed parking just outside of the cellars if you want to follow your GPS until the end. AMBIANCE Creekside is a restaurant and cellar, but has a feel like a tasting room. There is a small bar area where you can enjoy a tasting, and both indoor and outdoor tables for dining. There was a gentleman playing acoustic guitar and flute, which added to the relaxed ambiance. There were lots of windows which made for lots of natural light during the day. SERVICE The service was great, with everyone being very friendly and accommodating. We were seated right away, and offered small tastes of wines to help us decide which ones to order. F & B To start, I had the Rhône flight, which included a small glass of the viognier, rose, and rosso. I enjoyed all three of these, with the viognier being my favorite. We shared the cheese board, which was more than enough for two so would make a great starter for four. The board included 6 kinds of cheese along with honey, jam, tapenade, bread, and marcona almonds. For my entree, I had the special of the day which was amazing! It was a parpadelle pasta with portobello mushroom, fried rosemary, and buffalo mozzarella. Each of the flavors went very well together, and the portion was plenty for one person without being overwhelming. TLDR I loved my visit to Creekside Cellars for lunch. LOVELY place in Evergreen! Had a wonderful experience for lunch with my girlfriends on Saturday. Two of us enjoyed the special which was a Nicoise salad- that had a mountain of goodness on it. The ahi itself wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good. Everyone loved their meals. We also had the bread and olive oil, cheese plate, and the brussels sprouts- which were fantastic. We ordered 2 bottles of wine- the Cab Franc and the Merlot (My personal favorite was the Cab Franc). Both are quite tasty! If you're into whites, the Viognier is really nice. We came around 1:30 and there was no wait for 4. If you have a party of 6, by the way, they'll take the res. The lunch menu, which mostly consists of paninis and salads, allowed everyone to find something they liked. With the pasta salad, I did feel like the half fig & prosciutto panini put me into a food coma, but it was worth it. Don't feel like a whimp when you order the half-- it would easily be called a whole sandwich somewhere else. Prices are reasonable, service is reliable, and the atmosphere can be romantic or casual, depending on who you're with. Bring a guest and enjoy food and wine on the patio. Very good overall but lacking in a few areas to garner 5 stars. Food was very good although the 3-cheese charcuterie board was a bit bland. Service from all of the staff was great. We made late reservations so we did not get to sit creek-side and the inside was a bit busy and not as relaxing as we'd prefer for a beautiful afternoon nearly creek side. I definitely recommend this spot and highly recommend making patio reservations in advance. read more

We got a spot in their parking lot, maybe it was my lucky day. The other three times I have come, I haven't been as lucky with the parking and only once did I not get a seat out back. Everything is lovely. The service, THE FOOD, the ambiance and of course the WINE! We had mostly paninis with soups and salad upgrades as well as a cheese board. We got a bottle of their Syrah which was not too heavy for a summer afternoon. We also got tasters of their award winning Rose and ended up taking a bottle of it home. Nothing is over priced. It's a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, retirement, graduation, Father's Day, and a quick pause in the middle of a big move (we celebrated all of these events today!) We had a reservation at 11 am on a Saturday for six women for all of our 40th birthdays, and we left without eating here because the hostess was so rude. Four of us arrived on time and the other two were ten minutes behind us. The restaurant was completely empty and the four of us asked if we could sit and order drinks. She said absolutely not, they have a policy. When we told her it was our 40th celebration and they were completely empty, she rolled her eyes and said no. They lost our business and money due to their inflexibility and rude behavior. After the below response from the owner, we understand the policy and it is not an issue with the policy; however, the way it was communicated was very rude, and when we asked if we could come in to order drinks she said no. Was up in the area checking it out as we are relocating to Evergreen with my job in Denver so I decided to stop in and check it out, I was seated pretty promptly the place was quaint and nice selection of wines to choose from! I ordered the Malbec and my server also brought me some olives, the service started off slow made me feel uncomfortable because I almost felt ignored at first. My server brought my wine but it took a while before I was able to place my order for the Salumi Sampler, after that everything was smooth sailing. The wine was perfect and had a smooth finish with a surprising chocolate overtones which was perfect with the meats on the sampler, i also had the Almond Shortbread ice cream sandwich and a decaf to end this perfect little snack! SHUT UP! This place is basically a little slice of heaven. Found this place on Yelp...thank the Lord! Location - Pristine, especially on the desk itself. You will have difficult finding parking and you will have to wait to eat/drink on the patio but it is so very worth the wait. The space itself is pretty small all things considered but they do a good job at fitting as many people as possible comfortably. The patio is where it's at though just so peaceful, perfect for lunch/dinner/wine! Wine - My husband and I bought (and drank) a bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon. I have to say I was very very impressed with the wine itself. I'm not entirely sure what I expected but it was not the quality of wine we received. We even brought a bottle home. Food - We split the Antipasto. It was full of grilled/pickles veggies, cheeses, meats, a cilantro dipping sauce, a hummus, and an olive oil/herb concoction. You get a choice of breads (either focaccia or ciabatta) and we chose the focaccia but if I had the chance to do it over again I would have chosen the ciabatta. The focaccia was good but soft and a crustier bread would have been better. It was most definitely enough for two people (in fact we brought home about 1/3 of the platter) and would work as a great appetizer for a party of people. What a wonderful little winery in our mountains... the wine was wonderful and so was the food. Two people in our party had white wine, I had the cab and my boyfriend has the red wine flight! We enjoyed the pate board which had 2 ample slices of pate, bread, caperberries, cornochons and almonds. My girlfriend and I split the spicy Coppola panini, another ordered the grilled cheese panini and another ordered the sausage panini. Everything was very tasty and service was good. I had the grilled cheese sandwich with organic tomatoes, the kale crunch salad & a white flight...the Riesling was AMAZING!!! I really wanted to sit outside because they have a great patio overlooking a beautiful creek but it was a little too cold, good reason to come back in the summer. What a gem! We only had one afternoon to enjoy Colorado after a business conference and I'm SO happy we chose to come here, it was an awesome, relaxing afternoon sitting outside by the creek, tasting multiple wine flights, and diving into their out-of-this world antipasto platter. Words can't explain what a great combo this all was, especially on a beautiful afternoon. We ended up buying a bottle of their Rosso (red table wine) and a bottle of their Petite Verdot which were both so good. We really didn't want to check our bags on the flight home, but made the exception so that we could buy these two bottles! Also, we were having such a good time tasting wines, schmoozing with the winemaker and talking about living in Colorado with our waitress that when 5:30 rolled around, we asked "when do you close?" and she said, "5:00". Oops! Even still, they told us to stay as long as we wanted. (...why do I live on the east coast again??) Creekside Cellars is a real Colorado winery and deli restaurant in a very inviting location on Bear Creek right in the heart of Evergreen. They have a vineyard in Palisades on the Western Slope and make very passable Cabs, Merlots, Chardonnays and some other varietals. There is a small tasting bar with complimentary samples, and a sit-down restaurant and outdoor patio. They have a decent menu offering mostly panini sandwiches and appetizers like cheese and fruit plates, perfect for a sunny afternoon enjoying a nice wine. We usually split a "Guido," a huge Italian deli meat panini, with a side of pasta salad - delicious if you've earned it by hiking on one of the many nearby trails off Highway 74 en route to Evergreen. One drawback is that Creekside is a popular destination and the wait for a table, particularly on the deck, can be 30 minutes or more. You can buy a glass or bottle of wine and take it to the waiting area in front of the restaurant, if you don't mind the roar of frequent passing Harleys, heading for the Little Bear. It's a pricey lunch menu as well, and the wine ain't cheap either. Nevertheless, it's an occasional treat that really perks up a lazy summer weekend. read more

One day we had Cioppino (it was perfect) and another we had Plantain Raviolis with Chorizo red sauce. Loved the wine offerings and tasting service. Ohhhh this is a such a wonderful Cafe. Wonderful homemade wines...wonderful Food that is fresh, nature made flavor. Tomatoes on the caprese salad, were among the best I've had, with soft breads, and an incredible rosemary chicken.
