I have to say that Bonnie was an excellent server and really, really nice. Great smile and made us feel very welcome. It was hard for me to choose since I have multiple food sensitivities so the menu was limited on what I could choose from, which for the most part was down home southern cooking. Nothing wrong with that at all. I was able to have a salad with grilled chicken and fresh made salad dressing which I found very satisfying and refreshing for this hot summer day. Others at my table tried the salmon dinner with string beans (the comment made was the string beans were just like how her mom made them) and the other had one of their juicy burgers with fries. If I can give this place 10 stars, I would. Location: it's a great new building with comfortable seating and plenty of parking which is always a plus. Service: Service is top notch, I was seated quickly and never had my drink empty, servers answered all questions I had and were very sweet. Food: the steak was the absolute best I've ever had in my life, juicy and cooked to perfection! No other restaurant that I've been to can compare. I noticed other yelpers are commenting on the prices here, however it's a steak house, and bottom line you do get what you pay for. Being a server myself there's no way to charge guests a "cheap" amount for good quality food, that just isn't how it works. So if you want good quality food for a decent price come here!! Nice little place, kinda out of the way. Cute on the inside. Most likely family run, which I adore. The food, although over priced, was decent. I had the chicken fried chicken, husband had chicken fried steak. Not spectacular, but pretty good. One complaint, we ordered an app... our salads came first, then the app, then the meal. Within minutes of each other, so our table was packed with food. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who I think was an owner. Our waitress was super cute and totally sweet. Stopped at Creekside Grill Saturday evening. First time in a few years. New management since then. My favorite southern meal is a chicken fried steak. I can honestly say this was one of the best chicken fried steaks I have eaten. When you can cut your chicken fried steak with a fork, your off to a good start. The gravy was superb. The wife has a red snapper special which she gave thumbs up, especially the sauce that came with it. And BYOB just makes this place a home run. read more

I have to admit, I really wanted to love the place due to the close proximity. There were a couple issues that could be attributed to the newness. The restaurant was abnormally smokey (from the kitchen, not cigarettes). Second, it took an inordinately long time to get our food. Like I said, those could both be because it's only been open for a couple of weeks. The food was good, if a bit overpriced. We went on a Thursday evening and only a few tables were occupied. My wife had the Salisbury steak and thought the gravy was "commercial". I had the blackened redfish which was excellent with a generous portion. The prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was clean. Our only complaint was the service. It was too fast. The entrees came about two minutes after the salads were served. The check came well before we were finished. We will probably return with advice to slow it down. read more

I've eaten here three times in the last two years. I would love to go more often but can not afford it. The steaks are nice but are no better in thickness or quality than what you can get at Logan's Roadhouse in Lake Worth at a smaller price. Service at Creekside Grill has been very good. Azle has needed a steakhouse for a long time so I'm glad it's there and I hope they continue to profit and thrive. I can't put my critical finger on the exact problem but I do feel like the place is missing something. Maybe it's just me. We decided to try this place again since it opened under new management. It was amazing and we will definitely go back again. I ordered the chicken marsala and my husband ordered the lemon chicken. Both were prepared very well. The bread was great. We also ordered the apple pie for dessert which was perfect temp with the right amount of cinnamon. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We came here for the first time a couple of Sunday's ago. We both ordered Ribeye steaks with baked potatoes and side salads. Salads were good but steaks came out very thin with no heart or fat to be found, they certainly were not ribeyes because we eat them often . I couldn't help but notice they ran a special on some other type of steak on Friday night and I think we got whatever was leftover from that heap. Very disappointing to say the least because we had heard good things about this place. Our server was friendly and attentive and in an effort to not draw attention to ourselves ( an employee was dining behind us with a large group) we decided not to say anything about the crummy steak. Would be willing to come back here again but will stick to lunch and a burger or something simple and less expensive. read more

We really enjoyed this place. We dropped in right before closing time on a Sunday night. We had perfectly grilled chicken breasts, loaded potato skins cooked exactly right, and very fresh dark green salads with homemade dressings. The cherry cobbler was delicious too. Visited twice sorry to say we were not impressed. Steaks very underwhelming sides flavorless. I had the squash and it was pretty much inedible . The texas caviar was good the chips with it were not, stale not crisp. Cfs was nothing to get excited about. There was bread with our steaks it was italian? Why. Completely disappointed.. This was our first time to try this place. We had ridden past it several times out on the bike. We arrived 45 minutes after they opened. Staff was very welcoming & kind, & the atmosphere was ok. The sweet tea that was served was soured. It took 15 minutes for that to be recognized & be replaced. My husband had the ribeye $30 ordered medium, it was over cooked, chewy & flavorless. I had the grilled chicken. It too, was chewy & was covered in Italian seasoning. Our baked potatoes, we believe were reheated from the day before, as they were cold in the center & not hot enough to melt the cheese. After the meal being a complete failure we skipped dessert.. $65, we both left hungry because we couldn't even finish our meal. Needless to say, we won't be back! read more

Worst experience ever. I can't remember ever walking out on a restaurant, but we did tonight. We walked in and asked a lady to sit in a booth because we have two small kids and it help to reign them in There was only one that needed to be cleaned so she went to clean it. At the same time someone came in and another lady sat them at the booth we were waiting for. So we had to sit at a table. Guess they don't have a hostess. Then we sat and waited at least 10 minutes and nobody came. We finally stopped another waitress and asked about our waiter. She said she would go gget them. Cliff Notes: It was ok., Went on a Friday evening and were surprised to see they were closing up shop at 9pm However we did get there around 8:45 so we were let in .Funny thing was to watch the wait staff lock the doors at 9pm and confused customers trying to leave the establishment after eating. Upon first inspection of the menu it is has very little variety. Upon coming to this restaurant we were expecting more of a "home cooking" and were surprised to see they are really a steak house. With ( if memory serves ) few appetizers, 2 sandwich choices ( burger or chicken ) , three different salads, soup of the day, typical chicken fried steak/chicken and the rest various cuts of steak...Furthermore there is absolutely no kids menu, though when I inquired with the wait staff they had a few selections but haven't been added to the menu. As well as the sides are three different types of potatoes and a vegetable of the day. For the azle area I was surprised to see the prices as I felt they were a little high, my wife got the chicken fried steak @ 14,I got the 6oz fillet ( cooked to like 4 oz ) @ 23.00 and probably the best deal was my kid who got 3 FULL size breaded chicken breasts which were supposed to be tenders @ 5.00. needless to say he didn't know what to do with him self. Concerning prices I work in and out of Grapevine and Southlake and entertain clients etc. Taking clients to various steak houses and higher end restaurants... I was shocked to see the price for the menu items as previously mentioned. Especially for the area this restaurant has established itself. Concerning Tastes, My 4oz fillet was cooked to order but a little dry for medium Rare, though the meat had a decent flavor. The vegetable of the day was sauteed squash and it was ok. My Baked potato again just ok. My Wife liked the chicken fried steak but preferred other restaurants in the area. My Son well he ate one half of his bread chicken Brest "tender" and decided he was full .. All and All our meals and drinks totaled to over 50 dollars. Kinda of a sticker shock because the evening discussion on where we were going to grab dinner included mostly fast food restaurants until my spouse remembered " the restaurant around the corner" opened up. Will we be back ? Probably so, but if the owner reads this I would recommend he lower the prices on most Entrees but at least 5 dollars, add a few more staple sides besides potatoes, perhaps add some type of bread as a filler to the table. Establish a kids menu with kid portions, and maybe identify your restaurant as what you are trying to be. With the lack of options and higher prices you may see more potentials customers turned away before they even try your food which was in fact good... read more

We went back a second time just to make sure. We were very disappointed at this place after waiting for it to open for so long. Azle needs a goooooood place to eat at a reasonable price. This place is way over priced, I wanted to see them make it but as I told the waitress the manager/owner or whatever really needs to take a look at the pricing. Again we watched another couple come in, look at the menu and get up and walk out. We don't mind paying a price for good food but come on $23.00 for a steak that I could get at Outback for 17.00 and it would be better. We are so disappointed. We were here not too long after they opened & there were issues with our food. This place is very close to our home so I've been keeping an eye on it, hoping it would work. I've watched reviews improve over time and I see they are now open 4 days a week. Both good signs so we decided to give it another shot. Hubby and I arrived for Saturday evening dinner just before 6:00 pm. There were only 3 tables open but they filled quickly. We were greeted with a smile, promptly seated & the waitress quickly took our drink order & immediately returned with them. She gave us just the appropriate amount of time to look over the menu before returning to take our order. For a full meal, the menu is pretty much a choice off steak: prime rib, rib eye, filet mignon or chicken fried steak. A bit of a surprise given the menu several months and ago but hey, go with what you do best. As it turns out, what Creekside Grill does well is steak. We both ordered the rib eye, salad & potatoes. My steak was perfectly cooked, tender, juicy & full of flavor, the potato was hot & not over or under baked. Hubby said the French fries were good and what he ate of the steak was tender & tasty but had too much fat for him. NOTE: hubby hates fat of any kind so he should have ordered the filet. The ranch dressing on the salad was yummy but here is our one negative - the salads were too skimpy on the greens. To finish, we split a cherry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream - - it was absolutely fabulous - - no canned cherry pie filling in this dish! This was all around a great meal, service was good an prices pretty reasonable. Glad we gave it a second chance. We will be back. read more

The waitress was attentive. The food was slow coming out, however there was a decent crowd. My wife's filet was closer to medium-well than medium-rare, but she did not want to send it back because it took so long to get out. Chicken fried steak was good, but for the price I feel there should be three sides, instead of two. I have had larger cfs for less that were on par with this one. read more
