    Coconut crema latte
    Sho R.

I stopped by during lunch time and had a nice breakfast. The place was almost full. Had I came during breakfast time, I would have to wait. I went for a fungus scramble. That was a nice flavorful scramble. As a side I got a single pancake. For a $1 upcharge I got it upgraded to blueberry pancake. The pancake was really good. I also went for a coconut crema latte. It was a nice flavorful latte.

We had lived within spitting distance of this place for over four years but I had never been here. Not being a coffee drinker it didn't hold much appeal for me. Finally some friends invited us to meet for breakfast so we walked over. I am glad we got there by 8am because it soon got very crowded on this Saturday morning. After a short wait in the line we both ordered their breakfast sandwiches. My hot chocolate I ordered was just OK - not that chocolatey and less than hot. After a short wait they delivered our sandwiches. Both were very tasty and hot! I really enjoyed mine. Though I don't go out for breakfast very often I will definitely pop in here again.

The restaurant is clean, spacious, and well lit. I ordered at the counter and in under 10 minutes, my order was brought to me. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes, toast, and bacon were delicious. I will return again in the future and suggest you give this place a try.

Ham and Jam Breakfast Sandwich description

Simple yet satisfying. The ham and jam breakfast sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had!! I travel quite a bit for work, so that is saying a lot.

    Receipt screen shot.

I ordered (online) a simple "Smash Burger" and substituted the salad with hash at $2.00 as an alternative given on the webpage. I placed the order by paying through "Toast" as they require. I drove there less than 10 minutes each way to pick up my order around noon and took it back to my work. I found that there was no hash, but the salad had been given to me instead. I had already entered a 15% tip adding $2.31 to my total. I found out from my receipt there is a service fee of $0.38 for paying using "Toast". The total was $18.53 of which $4.69 was for the substitute hash, tip and 2.5% service fee not including tax. I am disappointed in the whole exchange after calling to let them know the error. The person I spoke with only said they were sorry and would I like to come back to pick up the hash substitute. I said no thank you and the person did not say anything else so I hung up.

It may not look like much from the outside but its what's on the inside that matters! The casual atmosphere on the inside is where its at. My breakfast, the 'Lake Edge Scramble' was tasty and filling, the bacon was defiantly worth the upcharge! The selection of fresh baked pastries was great for how small that kitchen must be!!! Refills on Iced Tea were cheep as well! only thing that I had a hard time with was it could get difficult to hear the baristas calling out drink orders because of the layout, but thats not a reason not to go back!!

What a wonderful little find. The sandwich listed is called the Roman and let me say I was tempted to go back for lunch as well. Staff was friendly and clean environment. I have to be in Madison again the end of the month and cannot wait to visit again! Not certain if I will get the same thing or try a new item.

The awesome atmosphere is trumped only by the yumminess of the sandwiches. I also like that they serve mostly local food. Great place.

We were having a work "philly cheesesteak" dinner but needed a good spot to get takeout. We came to Crostini - ordering was super easy and our food was ready and waiting for us upon arrival. Staff was very friendly in our limited interaction. I don't love steak, so I got the philly chicken cheesesteak, and holy moly was this sandwich massive. I could barely even hold it together there was so much chicken going on there!! I ended up keeping all the chicken that naturally fell out of the sandwich as leftovers and put it over rice for a meal the next day. I loved that the sandwich had mushroom and peppers on it, having some veggie interaction made it feel healthy :) Especially considering I got a small french fry with it too (which was actually somewhat large). Ketchup was extra so I went without it and was perfectly happy eating my french fries without condiments. This place definitely still fills a void in the area and I highly recommend checking them out!

The online ordering system is a little clunky but they were able to handle our requests (no tomato). And the ability to see your order status was very nice. Our food was still hot (that should be) when we picked up. The actual restaurant is a little awkward when you get inside. There's a small alcove to the left where you place your order. And you have to ring the bell for service. Everyone was super nice and the place looked vibey from what I could see. Not a ton to say since I just picked up. The food was excellent. The sub sandwich comes rolled kind of like a wrap which I wasn't expecting but didn't impact the flavor of experience. The panini was huge and easily 2 meals. Fries were soooo good. Like stadium quality. And don't skip the nacho cheese if you like a classic cheese fry. Overall I'm sad we haven't tried them sooner!

We were in town and looking for a good place to eat and excited to try this joint, with a 4.4 star…read morerating. We've always had good food in Madison and even though we wanted to get home after a long day, we thought it would be worth the delay. Unfortunately, this time, it wasn't worth it. I feel like it's time and money wasted. I'll get to details, but I'm mainly basing this review on the quality of the food I received. Before getting to the food, our service was great. Our server was a bit slow considering there were only 3 tables (including us) occupied. Or it's more of a relaxed atmosphere, so she was just giving us a lot of time to look over the menu. But aside from that, she was friendly, helpful, and kind. Atmosphere is on the dark side. There are two screens to play games (golf, etc) on two corners of the building. I think there are plenty of options, but we were mainly in for food, and didn't really get much info on the games. I did ask whether they were run on a reservation basis, and the hostess (who was also our server) said yes. She didn't mention any pricing, so I'm not sure what the details on that is. Margarita special $5 This was great. Not overly sweet, and just the right amount of booze. It came in a whiskey cup rather than a margarita one. 3sheep chaos pattern on draft Price for draft beer is not cheap, and the beer was great. The glass it came in was super clean, but also warm. I think it just came out of the dishwasher... So clean, but beer glasses should be cold on principle. Wings The description says these are baked, and then fried before tossed in their sauce. The sauce is yummy. The wings are a fairly large size. But I think they forgot to fry it. The skin on the wings weren't at all crispy, but kinda mushy. The meat was well cooked, but also on the dry side. The celery sticks and carrot rings on the side were super fresh and crispy. Blind burger with side salad I ordered it done medium. It came out very well done. For a wagyu, it lacked fat content, and cooked for too long, so it was very dry. We had just hiked 4 hours at Devil's Lake and quite hungry, but I couldn't finish it. Seasoning was great though. And the side salad was also very fresh. Brussels sprouts Something I haven't done in the last 15 years... I had to ask them to redo it. It came out with underdone Brussels. Interestingly, after I asked them to heat it up more for me, it came out perfect, with the right amount of searing on all the cut sides. Overall, it feels like the kitchen was having a bad day and bad timing - wings needed to get in the fryer for longer, burger should've been out of the pan sooner, Brussels should've stayed in longer. For the prices I paid, I expect better food. Especially since the kitchen knows how to fix their stuff! It was like they put 70% into all the dishes until I spoke up. Would I go back? Nope. Not convinced that the 4.4 rating is justified for me.

A solid C with perhaps the exception being the biscuit in the chicken tender basket (a solid A). After hearing about their burgers, I opted for their special. Perhaps my fault but the burger was completely overdressed with flavors that overpowered the beef patty. On the other side was the chicken sandwich. Pedestrian. Rather flat and under seasoned. The chicken tenders were fried well but lacked salt. Perhaps I set the bar too high for Hank's but plenty of places in Madison to get your fix on burgers and fried chicken.

They were delicious and a little different as they were served in a flour tortilla bowl. (This allowed the toppings and cheese to better coat more of the chips!) We liked that the Cajun entrees have options for small/medium/large, and they even offer a deal on 3 smalls. (Like a sampler!) I tried the medium seafood gumbo and a small red beans and rice. My husband got chicken wings and red beans and rice and jambalaya. Wings were ok, but he said the jambalaya and red beans and rice were "awesome!" I liked the gumbo but wished I had gotten the larger red beans and rice. So good!!! So flavorful. Beignets were freshly made and also delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We were taken to a fun room resembling a spot under a willow tree with a night sky above. Our waitress came over a few minutes later to take drink orders & questions & throughout the dinner she was excellent. Unfortunately the area was dark & hard to read the menu - I highly recommend candles on the table to make for a more intimate setting. Then we got our food. My bf ordered a po boy sandwich hoping to relive an experience he had elsewhere, but sadly he felt the sandwich just resembled that of a McDonald's fish sandwich lacking Cajun flavors. I ordered the jambalaya, which had a pretty good portion size, and was kind of tasty but went downhill as the few scraps of sausage were only on top & the flavors didn't get mixed in well with the rest of it. I recommend a white rice option. We also started getting excited about corn bread but were very disappointed as we were told they have it 'sometimes' but we missed out. I also don't understand the music selection as it sounded like a night club. I doubt we will return, which is sad as this place seems to have potential.
