Really quirky but inviting place. They have a lot of options for sweet and savory crepes, including a crepe made out of Dorito dust, "The Donald" which consists of cheddar, bacon, and Russian dressing, and a variety of sweet crepes. I got a recommended savory crepe with chicken and prenup sauce. It was massive. The filled to the brim crepe with chicken, cheese, onions, bacon, lettuce, and sauce was crispy on the outside and ate like an burrito, almost. I'd like to try one of the sweet crepes next time.
If you're looking for something sweet, savory or both Crepe guru is the place to be. They have dessert crepes filled with fresh fruits and ice cream or savory dinner crepes that have delicious seasoned chicken with freshly tossed veggies. The service and food comes out hot and fast and they make it right in front of you . The place is cozy and tiny but gives you a chic NY kinda vibe with low lights. Definitely a must try if you're in downtown Jersey city.
***No Cards Accepted *** Glad we had cash. This place has a great ambiance. A little hole in the wall that compels you to check it out. Very cute at night. They have a few tables spread out, good for small groups. We ordered the cheesecake crepe to split. The person who took our order was super nice. She said we could build it however we wanted. But we weren't sure, so we went with the standard. It was delicious. It was packed full of strawberries. I would have liked a bit more cheesecake, but it was a very full crepe, so no complaints.
My friend and I were craving crepes like no other at 10pm, and we were so excited to find Crepe Guru open late. After a half hour drive (we were reallyyyy desperate for crepes), we snagged a lucky parking spot (street parking only and it gets packed) and made a beeline for Crepe Guru. It was super busy even close to midnight. Service was really friendly, and I loved that they accepted venmo for contactless payments. Staff were all wearing masks, and there was inside and outside seating (with nice heat lamps to temper the chill). My friend and I both built our own crepes with nutella, strawberries and bananas, and whipped cream and ice cream. They have a ton of options between sweet and savory, but we were really jonesing for the sweet crepes. I thought it was a great option to allow customers to choose between fresh fruits, different toppings, and different drizzles on top. Unfortunately the crepes themselves didn't quite live up to our expectations. The crepes were thick and rather tough, nothing like the thin, elastic, tender crepes we were expecting. The fruit inside was good, but I thought there was wayyyy too much nutella and chocolate drizzle on the outside. The sauce really overwhelmed everything and while it could have helped with the dry crepe, the whole thing ended up being sickly sweet. I think the crepe batter might have worked better with a savory crepe because then it would have been more reminiscent of a burrito-like texture, so I might try that in the future.
ooooh what a fun takeout spot, i tried the dynomite chicken crepe with the dorito crepe batter and WOW was it good. next time i will try eating in the restaurant, as takeaway inevitably gets a bit soggy. looking forward to also trying their dessert crepes. great value for the price, they really add the filling in there.

I walked in and my order was taken immediately. The ambiance was very clean and had chill music playing. I ordered the Nutella batter with strawberries and it was amazing!! To top it off, my crepe was also served with a side of vanilla ice cream. If you're someone like me who likes less Nutella, you can ask for that as well. The crepes are made fresh, soft, and tasted amazing!! would definitely recommend Crepe Guru and will be coming back:) (fyi cards are not accepted, but cash/venmo/zelle are)
Hard-working family own business with great crêpes mine was chicken mozzarella grilled onions and pesto very tasty and my friend had fruit with Nutella amazing. Reasonable. I feel they could definitely improve the seating both indoor and outdoor are utilizing the space better but that's my only complaint.

The crepe was delicious, fresh, bursting with strawberries and Nutella. It was beyond yummy!!! It was served with a nice portion (two scoops) of ice cream and whipped cream.. We didn't try the savory crepes but they were being made while we were they and smelled soooooo good!! We'll def be back!!
a friend who also lives in the jersey city area recommended this spot to me, and we went to try it together. crepe guru used to be open around stevens university in hoboken, and according to my friend they were super popular amongst students. as soon as you walk in, you smell the fresh crepes being made and you can see the workers preparing them through the glass panes. at the time, they didn't accept credit cards, only cash/venmo/zelle - i'm not sure what the status is now though. we paid with venmo and it was a pretty seamless transaction, we just venmo'd and then showed the workers that the payment went through. what we ordered: - chicken dynamite - the pre-nup - the nutella batter (dessert crepe) the portions for the savory crepes were actually insane, i could barely finish my pre-nup. the flavor was so good and i really liked their special pre-nup sauce! recommend getting all the toppings like cabbage and tomatoes so you can get some veggies in there too :) we actually went to eat the savory crepes, went grocery shopping, and then went back to get the dessert crepe. a lot of folks ordered crepes to go too. would absolutely recommend if you're in the area and are craving a crepe!
4.5 stars on Yelp is impressive! Any time you can put up those numbers it means you are doing something right. This is a place that goes all in on crepes. They have all sorts of savory and sweet ones. We were in the mood for savory so we went with the bourbon chicken crepe and donald crepe. First off, it is not the best bbq sauce on the bourbon chicken. It lacked flavor and tasted almost watered down. The crepe was done right and had the right texture. The Donald was better and I would definitely reorder. The positive news is they have quick delivery. The prices are reasonable as well. The crepe is more filling than it looks. I would put this place is at 4 stars and glad I tried it. I like the concept and next time I will try the sweet crepes.
The interior is cute and it smells great in there as you can imagine. Never dined in but every pick up and to-go orders I've gotten from them always been good. Did the build your own crepe since they don't have the classic banana, strawberry, and Nutella combo. Tasted great and good portion as you can see in the pic lol read more

The steak bourbon crepe was delicious! They have so many good flavors to choose from it was hard to decide! We got one savory and one sweet to split in half each. The steak bourbon was flavorful and definitely a good sized portion! I could have likely eaten the whole thing alone. But then we ate the nutella crepe for dessert--thinner than the steak bourbon but still good. (I could have done with a bit more filling) We left very satisfied and would definitely come again. It's not for large groups. It's a very small place. Comfortably 8 people could fit there to eat at three same time. If need be you could seat a few more. If you're not into close quarters, it might be best to get your food to go. Something is going on with them and their credit processor so they have a sign letting you know they don't take credit cards. I'm not even mad at that because these card companies are swindlers in a lot of ways. But it is something you ought to know. They do take Zelle, PayPal, Venmo and CashApp though. read more
I've been eyeing crepe guru for a very long time and am so excited that I finally got to try this place out. The inside is tiny, but chic! There isn't a ton of seating and I know it gets packed on the weekends, so be prepared. I came here for brunch, so I decided to go with a savory crepe. I went with the prenup with chicken and let me tell you, they stuffed this crepe to the brim! I didn't think one crepe would fill me up, and I couldn't even finish it. The chicken was ground and seasoned, which was an interesting take on the crepe. They fry their crepes and it creates a very sturdy structure for a handheld! The flavors together were pretty basic, but a good, hearty filing meal. Just a heads up that they do not take card, but do take cash, venmo, cashapp, and anything else you can name. The customer service here was 10/10 and they didn't even let me pay until after I finished eating. I had a great experience and will be back! Next time, I plan on doing a "build your own"! read more

This was such a cool place! It was small but super fun. Expect Venmo, cash app or Zelle payments only. They don't take credit cards. The savory crepe was perfectly cooked and easy to eat. It was also a lot of food for the price! The savory crepe, on the other hand, was too much for one person. I would definitely recommend sharing it with at least one other person. read more
Crepe place was really delicious. The fiesta crepe was packed with ingredients and surprisingly filling. The Nutella crepe came with a scoop of ice cream - this was really good especially the strawberries. Docking a star because I ordered a Nutella crepe after I finished the fiesta crepe and got confirmation from employees but they forgot to make it. read more
These are my favorites! I was so sad when I went to Hoboken and realized my favorite spot had closed, little did I know they moved to Jersey City now and I finally got my fix! You can go wrong really, I had a veggie supreme today and the apple pie one with dulce de leche, and let me tell you... yummmmmm! Great spot for a casual outing or just when looking for a nice quick bite that will satisfy a savory or sweet craving. Prices are so good for the portions. This spot is serving the best crepes in town and they're great with the COVID guidelines. Everyone was helpful and wearing masks. Currently though, they were not accepting card payments, we paid through Venmo so be mindful of that. They have outdoor seatings which are spaced out good. read more

Love love love this place! I originally came here with some friends for a late night dessert on a weeknight and because yelp gave me and a guest 50% off. The place is super cozy with fun decorations all around. They have a great variety of food options on their menu.. Me and my friends got the nutella and the tiramisu crepe which comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and both were delicious! The second time I came back I tried the nutella batter crepe and it was even more amazing! Clearly I love hazelnut hahah. One thing we did notice was the first time we came here, only one girl was working and it got extremely busy, we felt really bad because she had to prepare the food and deal with the register alone, (cash only or venmo) we had to wait to pay which it was fine because we knew she was alone and we don't blame her but we felt she should've had help. The second time around there was three people working so it was much better and smoother. Parking in that area might be a little longer than expected but both times we found parking within 5 minutes and not far either but again both times it was during the week. Perhaps weekends might be harder. I definitely will be coming back to enjoy their delicious crepes outside in the summer read more

I've been wanting to go to crepe guru for a wile now. Today I finally did and ordered the Nutella batter crepe. It was made really quickly and tasted delicious. The crepe came with ice cream and whipped cream on the side. Everything came out to 12 dollars flat. There were other savory crepes that I want to go back and try plus the tiramisu crepe. Because they recently moved locations they do not accept card but you can pay through either Venmo or Cashapp which I thought was a great fix for the time being. Oh.my.GODDDD. I literally go crazy over chocolate. Dessert is my favorite meal. I also love unique places such as Crêpe Guru. We went to dinner out in Hoboken and hit a few bars for happy hour. My sweet tooth was getting the best of me so I yelped dessert places real quick and found this place! And who doesn't like a good crêpe?! The shop is small with one or two tables and a small counter with high top chairs. They also have seating outside. A young girl was making the crêpes and she was SO NIIIICE! I got the Nutella batter crêpe which is a crêpe made with Nutella with Nutella, a piece of melted cheesecake, and strawberries inside. It comes with vanilla icecream and whipped cream on the side too. I know it sounds like a free heart attack but IT WAS WORTH EVERY CALORIE. IT WAS SO FREAKIN DELICIOUS. And HUGE. We couldn't even finish it! They also make chicken crêpes which looked delish. You can pretty much build your own crêpe and add whatever you want inside. Def check it out if you're ever in Hoboken! Crepe Guru is one of a kind - (obviously) crepe restaurant. These guys have redefined crepes, they have an entire menu designed with crepes as the star with options including both SAVORY and dessert ones. Recently visited them with a group of friends, the food was flavorful and fabulous. The service was warm and friendly, the menu is pretty simple, quiet vegetarian friendly and they have even star marked the best sellers on the menu. The ambience was hip - they have cool interiors with nice cozy seating area, an open crepe making station and some outdoor seating to soak up the sun. On a side note, found the place a tad expensive but it was definitely worth it. FYI, while walking to the restaurant, noticed that the sign for the restaurant was pretty small. Keep an eye for it as it is easy to miss. Also, keep note that they don't accept cards. Its cash/venmo only. We tried the Veggie Supreme and the Nutella Batter dessert crepe. It was my first time trying a savory crepe. The Veggie supreme was flavorful and very filling, an ideal sandwich to have on the go for lunch/dinner. I wish I ordered some hot sauce with the veggie supreme, as I tend to prefer my sandwiches slightly spicy. The best part of the meal was the Nutella Batter dessert crepe. The crepe batter itself had nutella in it, along with that the topping of strawberries and nutella with whipped cream & ice cream on the side was a perfect dessert. If you like chocolate, this would be THE crepe for you. I wouldn't ask them to change it ever, it was just fab. We liked these so much that we even took a couple of the dessert crepes to go, but would recommend to have them at the restaurant as the experience was slightly so. Made a run here tonight after rallying my sister for some dessert after dinner. So glad we did! I had a yelp offer for 50% off a crepe so you know I had to try it! Location is a little eerie if going super late at night (they're open until 11p). Crepe was fantastic! My little sister is allergic to something in the common prep gloves, so when we told them they were happy to accommodate and found liner gloves to use instead. We originally were going to get the tiramisu crepe, but after scrolling yelp I found out it was legit a full cake slice wrapped in a crepe lol. A little too much for me. Instead we decided to get the simply Nutella crepe ($6) and top it with strawberries ($3) and bananas ($1.50). $3 for strawberries is pretty expensive in my opinion, but they def don't skimp. They added quite a lot of the fruits and the guy making our crepe even threw in a scoop of ice cream at no extra charge. So glad he did because that ice cream really helped wash down all that Nutella goodness! Really sweet spot..treat yourself spot for me, but I'd come back! Also, they don't accept credit cards currently. Only cash/Venmo/quickpay. read more

Definitely a great spot for late night options since it closes at midnight. Price wasn't bad for its quality and quantity. I ordered the New York Cheesecake crepe and I tasted the strawberry, chocolate drizzle, cheesecake, and graham cracker crust in each bite. It was so delicious and definitely worth the price. In addition, the one worker there was really nice although he was alone. He had so many orders to cook by himself and it was obvious he was overwhelmed. Still, he kept his cool and didn't snap at new customers who came in. He was welcoming and reassured everyone that their orders would be made as fast as he could, and he wasn't wrong about that! Unfortunately, I'm taking a star off for the wait time. When I called to order, I was told that it would take 15-20 minutes but it definitely took 30-35. Not sure why only one worker would be there on a Saturday night when customers kept rolling in. I felt bad for him, but he should've had some help. Also, I wish I paid with credit card -- it was only cash or Apple Pay or Venmo, and I had to Venmo because I didn't have cash. I included tip in my payment, so hopefully it gets to the right worker. read more

I was stuck in the hospital for hours. I've been craving a crepe so bad! I called the store at 11:30 and wasn't discharged until 11:30 and Omg Coby was so kind! This place closes at 11:00 and he stayed opened until 12:00 to make me a crepe! Great food made by great people! Thanks for staying open for me! Need more kind people like you can't wait to come back and try the other crepes! read more
