A hidden gem that I'm glad I stumbled upon. After eating a lot of delicious grilled food at Grill City and wandering over to all the bakeries in the shopping center, I was about to settle on some fine pastries with ube, but decided to check out the last dessert place I Yelped. I almost didn't find it as it was hidden on the side of the shopping center without the most obvious sign. Fortunately, our group didn't let the plain sign deceive us as the inside of this restaurant is actually quite colorful and nicely decorated! Given the reasonable prices, we also figured we could get a small dessert and avoid the food / sugar coma later. We were also lucky that we were wrong in this regard as well! The iced latte here is quite good, better than the Starbucks I had the day before and well balanced in terms of creaminess and strength (without being too bitter). This satisfied my coffee craving pretty well. The family banana split on the other hand... is something I'm still dreaming about days later. Given the extremely reasonable price, it was a huge surprise when it was served in a giant bowl with 5 very generous scoops of ice cream (all different flavors), with two oreos, 6 pocky sticks, and bananas all around the side and bottom! Fortunately, this wasn't just a work of art -- the dish is as delicious as it looks. Now that I've had an opportunity to check out pictures from other Yelpers, it's quite exciting to see that every dessert they make is a work of art and very generously sized. I can't wait to come back and slowly try everything on their menu :) Overall, super delicious mix between art and flavor with incredibly good prices. I would make a special trip to enjoy the desserts here, even from the suburbs!

Walked into a small crepe bar, the decor is very juvenile with rainbows, balloons and childish decor. The crepes were delish, tender and plenty of fresh fruit.

We stopped in here for crepes on our way to another event, and weren't sure how much time to allow, but as it ended up it was perfect. Parking was easy in the adjacent lot, and service was quick and friendly. We were greeted extremely by the woman at the counter. She was warm and welcoming, and seemed genuinely glad we'd found them when I told her it was our first time there. We chatted about how they'd opened not too long before the pandemic, and I could tell just from this short exchange that she valued her customers. I ordered the Turkey crepe, which also had ham, bacon, and cheese. It was nicely full of all of these ingredients, and the cucumber and cherry tomato garnishes were a nice addition to the side of red pepper paste. My husband had the breakfast crepe, minus cheese, and said his was also very good. My smoothie was delicious, and came garnished with a large strawberry and a paper umbrella -- fun! My husband had one of the teas, which came piping hot, so he saved most of it to drink later after it had cooled off We'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to try a sweet crepe the next time!

We came here for brunch on Fourth of July weekend and had a great experience! I ordered the strawberry banana crepe with euro cream and my husband ordered the queen berry crepe also with euro creme. The euro cream is like a mixed vanilla and chocolate cream, very tasty! Service was great, the employees here were all super friendly. Can't wait to come back!

I stopped in for the first time today with a friend before walking to labagh around the corner, the gentleman behind the counter was welcoming and other patrons seemed very friendly. We got one savory, the house style crepe and one sweet crepe, the banana and strawberry with nutella. my goodness, they were amazing and well prepared, it did take a bit of time so i would build in leisure time and it is absolutely worth it! im looking forward to enjoying the cute small cafe and food again soon :))

Hidden gem! So glad we tried this place out. Generous portions and the food was all delish and fresh. I had an iced caramel macchiato and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet, tasted like a real macchiato, not fake stuff! The sweet and savory dishes were approved by young and old. The owner was also super friendly and explained everything to us so patiently as it was our first time here. Will definitely be back.

Stopped in the other day after grocery shopping with my mom. I was hoping for a juice or something without caffeine. They mostly have coffee but in their refrigerator they have an assortment of different canned and bottled beverages. I ended up buying a carbonated IZZE. I wish I was hungry enough for a crepe because they looked delicious. No indoor seating right now but there is a patio. The staff was nice and there was hand sanitizer inside for customers.

Very small place. The crepes were delicious, but a little pricey. The atmosphere doesn't match the food quality and price. It isn't dirty, but doesn't feel clean. Hard to explain that, but you'll understand if you visit. The crepes are worth trying. I ordered the queen berry, and it was delicious. Fruit was fresh and crepe was done properly.

Hello my Foodzies, we tried a new place, Crepe house cafe at 5033 n Elston Ave. in Chicago. It's a small order and eat place with what could be a kids art studio, plastic tables and chairs. The menu is hung from the ceiling with many options all the crepes are hand made per order. The menu was both sweet and savory and included different coffees, teas and shakes options. The owner was very nice, our order taker was friendly and knowledgeable. Glenda had the ground beef crepe, the meat wasn't seasoned very well, the crepe was light and fluffy. I elected to go with the breakfast crepe, it was stuffed with turkey, bacon, mushrooms, 3 cheeses, tomato and 2 eggs. It was filling but also under seasoned. The saving grace was the eggplant and cucumber sauce. That mixed with the crepe tasted awesome. I give this restaurant 3 stars, try it yourself and let me know what you think. Ciao Ciao for now.

Crepes anyone? As you know I have a weakness for crepes and this place did not disappoint. The crepes were perfectly moist and gorgeous. The menu is inventive see Pic. Had the kit kat. It was too sweet for me but that doesn't take away from the quality and the presentation. I decided to try this place because of Zee and Nash. They run the place and were very warm and welcoming.

This place honestly never disappoints. It's my go-to crepe place in Chicago and has a great menu including sweet and savoury crepes, waffles, ice cream and hot/cold coffee and drinks. Great seating options as well indoor and outdoor. Love their Nutella alternative as well -- Euro Cream. It's very creamy and leaves a nice texture in your mouth. Can't wait to go back!

The dessert crepes are amazing - they look beautiful, made with fresh ingredients, and taste yummy. They are served on black stone plates and have the whip cream perfectly placed. The berries and bananas are fresh and they add tons of fruit in top and inside yummy!! They biscuit is crushed and sprinkled on top. The European cream is chocolaty but not over bearing. A must try and will revisit again! read more

If you want a fresh homemade crepe, I would 100% recommend this place. The staff are the friendliest people ever! The crepes are still warm, and they don't go easy with the toppings. I would say for what you are paying these crepes are worth it for their size and taste! Fruits are always fresh, and bacon as well. Place is cute and clean. read more

Stopped in with my wife on a Sunday morning. Parking was easy & free. We were greeted by the friendly staff upon entering. We ordered a Queen Berry sweet crepe, savory crepe #2 with mozzarella + ham + bacon, and an iced caramel macchiato. The coffee was ready before the food which allowed us to get our caffeine fix while we waited. The coffee tasted great, quality espresso and just the right amount of sweetness. Within a few minutes our crepes were ready and brought to our table. The savory crepe was delicious. The bacon inside was perfectly crispy, not greasy. The savory crepe was served with some tomato and cucumber slices and some roasted red pepper spread (ajvar) on the side. The Queen Berry sweet crepe had a good amount of nutella (without being too heavy) and was topped with chocolate sauce, plenty of fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. The sweet crepe was served with whipped creme on the side, felt homemade but not sure, either way it was very good and balanced the dish. The crepes themselves were thin (as they should be) and cooked to perfection. Overall, the quality, flavor, and service was excellent. The portions were very generous and we packed our leftovers for an afternoon snack. We're not in the area often but I have a feeling we will make the trip just to come to Crepe House. We highly recommend. read more

This place is a great little cafe, with nice variety. Many delicious sweet crepes (as in my photos), three savory crepes, bubble waffles, ice cream, Lavazza coffee, a great selection of teas (Rishi and others, including a great cinnamon one). Everything here is so delicious! Amazing! These are huge servings filled with deliciousness. We got a savory and sweet to share between the two of us. Both were so large that we probably needed a third person to help us. The options are simple but the taste is well balanced and flavorful. We got the ham with veggies and Nutella with banana and strawberries. The crepes are the right thickness and the presentation was beautiful. Love this little place right in the neighborhood. Can't wait to visit my folks again so we can get this for takeout. read more

The crepes and bubble waffles here are amazingly delicious! The crepes are a shareable size but I normally can finish one all by myself lol! My favorite crepe is the strawberry banana Nutella one. I can't get enough of it! And for the savory crepes, the turkey crepe is so tasty! The owners and staff are super friendly and welcoming. My whole family and I enjoy the atmosphere as well! Crepe House Cafe is a little pocket of sunshine in Northside Chicago - conveniently located right of Highway 94. Just on walking in the colors on the walls and decor is so cheerful and happy, especially the menu boards! They offer a variety of savory and sweet crepes, bubble waffles, and coffee and ice cream as well. The employees are friendly and take pride in the food they make. The crepes here are the biggest and most flavorful I've had in the United States - not to mention stunning to look at! I ordered a savory ham/cheese/and bacon crepe to start which was enough for two meals! I also finished off with a sweet Kit Kat crepe that was delicious and satisfied all my cravings for something sweet. I was walking by the neighborhood, since I just moved in. I came across this gem. First of all, they were so friendly (I really don't know what that review was talking about the guy being a bully.) They were so friendly! My husband is Bosnian, and them speaking the same language as him made me feel like we were at home. The crepes are delicious!! I enjoyed Every single bite and very affordable! I love their "Breakfast Crepe". It's huge, full of meat, veggies, and delicious dressing. Highly recommend trying it. Their dessert crepes are nice too if you're a sweet-tooth. The staff is very friendly and every time I visited Crepe House it was a nice experience. read more

This is a very cute cafe that offers something for everyone! You can order crepes, ice cream, coffee, banana split and tea. Although they are known for the crepes, the ice cream was yummy. There are multiple ice cream flavors. We tried the cookie dough and green tea ice cream. The green tea did not taste like matcha but it was still enjoyable, very generous servings! read more

Visited August 10- delayed review! Total whim! Daughter and I saw the shoppe and thought- why not! The menu variety and personalized option was great. Bubble waffles looked UBER yummy! Food wait time was on the slower side but they had just opened and had a rush so no big deal. I thought the crepe prices were fine but the drinks were 33% more than I wanted to spend... so I only bought 1 drink to share. Going back again today! Support local businesses! read more

Upon entry, the atmosphere was inviting; The decor and vibrant colors draw you in. My family and I decided to give this cute cafe a try, since it was around the corner from Seafood City Market. We ordered the Queen berry crepe and Ube Halaya (which is my favorite Filipino dessert) crepe. Both crepes were delicious in their own way. The presentation was exceptional! Its appearance was as good as the taste. The fruit served atop the crepes were fresh. If I lived nearby, I would frequent that place. Shout out to Boba-fett for her wonderful service! My go to crepe place! I highly recommend this place if you're craving some dessert. I know they also have a savory menu but I personally prefer the sweets menu! Definitely call ahead of time to place an order because the wait time can be super long (up to 40 minutes). But if you are in no rush then u can just explore seafood city that's right around the corner Just make sure to call ahead of time and place your order if you're in a hurry. read more

Doesn't appear to be much from the outside but the food was fabulous. Really large portions - which usually isn't typically for crepes!! The people working were SO friendly and welcoming. We also got coffees and they were super tasty as well. We thought we would need boxes but we devoured it all- was so delicious. Highly recommend! This place, located in a strip mall is not fancy but dang these are some great crepes! Delicious, reasonable prices and absolutely wonderful. I had some sort of tomatoey sauce with my ham and cheese crepe and it was really tasty. Take out or dine-in, the place is good even during COVID. read more

This place gives you a great portion for the price! It's one of the few crepe places where I felt full afterwards and it tasted great! You have the option of adding a scoop of any flavor of ice cream on top which I found fantastic! The outdoor patio was clean and had an umbrella so you can relax in the shade. Overall, I know for a fact that I'll be coming back here soon! read more

Went here for the first time today and it took an hour (I'm talking a full 60 mins) for them to make two crepes. Then the crepes were mediocre, my egg whites were still not cooked. I would suggest that the workers tell you before you order that it will take about an hour for them to finish your food. read more

This is a new restaurant in the neighborhood. I ordered a "savory crepe" which included turkey breast,cheese, bacon, mushrooms, spinach, and tomato. Portion size was huge-big enough to share. We then followed up with a sweet bubble waffle which was a waffle topped with vanilla ice cream fresh strawberries and chocolate sauce. The quality is Excellent. Topped the meal off with a couple of lattes that puts Starbucks to shame! This place is new to the neighborhood and I hope is here to stay. I will definitely return! read more

I've eaten here twice and was very satisfied both times. Their bubble waffle strawberry crepe is awesome. The strawberries seemed hand picked. Not a sour one in the whole bunch. Had the turkey crepe as well, I couldn't finish it, and I can devour an 11 oz steak dinner. Definitely eat here. read more

This is a wonderful place to go to. I ordered a Queen Berry bubble waffle, and it was marvelous. They use fresh fruit with all of the desert crepes and waffles, and fresh vegetables with the savory ones. I had a really good time eating here and I really recommend it. read more

They make the most of the seating though, as they have seating along the window facing the front of the building, two large tables and benches along the back wall that can seat 6-8 people comfortably, and at least 2 (might be more, but I saw only 2) small, round tables that can seat 2 per table further in the back. The customer service is very friendly and accommodating - I had my toddler in tow, and they were very patient with me while ordering and settling in at a table, and quickly provided me an extra plate.
