This place is so cute!!! It's inside Asian Market and I love how it's a great stop right after you grab some groceries. The owner is exceptionally sweet and does a great job making to-go crepes. (YES, it's so much harder than it actually looks). He does a wonderful job wrapping it up too - so you can take a couple home for the kiddos or the roommates. We ended up splitting two crepes - one with pineapples and cream and the other with strawberries, bananas, and nutella. While the pineapple one was alright, I highly recommend you get the one without the pineapples. It just didn't seem like my taste - but honestly I think this is more of a personal opinion. Such an incredible place! There is a wide variety of crêpe fillings available including a magical crêpe with the fruit and a house made brownie in it. I definitely recommend it both for the flavor and the experience. It's a small shop but the owner is very kind and just a wonderful person. He made the experience even more delightful. Paul is what makes this place. He's so kind and friendly towards his customers and makes sure every single customer he has is happy and satisfied. There was a time I came in that another customer expressed to him his peanut allergy, so he made sure all of his utensils were clean, got oil that was not peanut oil from the supermarket that's located in the same complex, and got him chocolate sauce that was not made in a factory that did not manufacture peanuts. The customer himself was so pleasantly surprised and happy that it made me feel a little warm inside haha. You can adjust the done-ness of your crepe: soft, medium, or crispy. Variety of fillings are great for any person whether you like fruit (like me) or are into chocolate/dessert like fillings. Love this place so much. I've been a longtime regular at Mr. Paul's (the owner) crepe store. I will be writing this review solely on the quality of the service and food. The service: From my experience (and many others), Mr. Paul is quite possibly the most genuine, friendliest man you'll ever meet. He holds pleasant, relaxed conversations with his customers and appears to have a heart of gold. A good natured man who remembers most of the customers in the area. If he sees me passing by his store, he waves and asks how i've been. That always brings a smile to my face. His assistants give off a fresh and friendly aura, and have a nice sense of humor. The food: Before your crepe is made, you are asked if you would prefer your crepe soft or crispy. I always get crispy and not ONCE was my crepe not made fresh (I love watching the process!) In all my years frequenting Crepe4U, my crepe has never been burnt in the slightest. As for the fruits in the crepes, they are taken right out of the refrigerator so that they are nice and cold, then freshly cut and arranged onto your crepe. Its very refreshing for me to take a bite out of a Romeo and be met with a mouthful of chilled, sweet strawberries, a nicely balanced amount of chocolate hazelnut drizzle and whipped cream. The flavors come together quite nicely and I for one, always leave the crepe store feeling very happy and wanting another crepe. Oh and just as a side note, the last time I was at Crepe4U, Mr. Paul had a "crepe wheel" that you could spin for the chance for a free crepe if you land on the same crepe you ordered. In conclusion, Crepe4U is a really nice place to have a snack, be it be by yourself or with your friends. I've been wanting to try this place for a LONG time and I finally got the chance to, I walked in and was greeted by the sweetest, most humorous guy ever, Mr. Paul. This is a local crepe store located inside the supermarket. It may be hard to find as there's no storefront but you have GOT to try this place. The crepes here are all freshly made. When we went in, the owner was incredibly conversational and kind. He gave great recommendations and was also incredibly accommodating. Although there's not much seating inside, this place is still worth trying. The majority of the fruits are all freshly cut and added in front of you. The crepes can be soft, crispy, or somewhere in between (you just have to tell him!). I ordered the Momo (Whipped Cream, Strawberries, Bananas, Chocolate Hazelnut Sauce). It was so delicious and I finished the crepe quickly and wanted more. I love the personal interaction and humor he brought as he made the crepes. This place was incredibly worth it (I would say they're incredibly affordable for the ingredients that were added into them). My husband and I went here after having dinner at the food court nearby. First off, I have to say the highlight of our experience here is the owner, Mr. Paul. He is such a pleasant guy to talk to and he really creates his crepes with the utmost care. He spoke to every customer like an old friend and he just had a very happy aura that just resonated with everyone that went to his shop. Before we were served our crepes, Mr. Paul was serving another family who we ended up talking to. He is from Arizona who comes to Plano often, and he mentioned that every time he comes here, he makes sure to get Crepes 4 U! When Mr. Paul was taking our order, he spoke with us a little bit about Plano. Since we were new to the city, he gave us some insight on how Plano was 10 years ago in which he claimed "there wasn't much food here, so I lost 10 pounds". It was funny to me because now Plano is full of great food, and I wish I could lose 10 pounds but instead I gained it! Haha! My husband and I shared a fruity crepe in which we added ice cream. The crepe was warm, toasty and delicious, and the combination of fruit, ice cream and chocolate syrup really went well together. These are the kind of crepes I've been waiting my whole life for! Do not be fooled with the crepes IHOP serves. The crepes here are incomparable! They are not soft and mushy, but rather light and crispy. I got the islander crepe and I'm so sad that I don't have a picture of it. The location is quite hard to find. It took me one drive around the building to realize that the store was inside in between a market and a bakery. The man that runs the store is so kind and seems like he loves to make conversation with his customers. I live in Allen, TX. I'm a 36 year old single gal that likes to find new places to go with my friends and maintain our figures. This is a great place to get a sweet treat that you don't feel guilty eating. The fruit has always good the times I've been there and you can make it a guily pleasure by adding a scoop of Haagen Daz ice cream in it. Everytime I have been there the owner or employees have made the crepe when I ordered it. Either way if you have ever made crepes at home you can make up several and heat them on a griddle and they are just as good. The atmosphere is nice, it fits in with all the other stores in the Asian market. So, it's not the Galleria Mall, but if you wanted that you go down to Dallas. It's relaxed so you can run in there and grab a crepe while running errands or if you have kids you can go there and not have to worry about taking them there. The people there have always been very nice. I will keep going back and I have recommended it to many people that I know that live and work in Plano and Allen areas and they have all liked it too. Every visit guarantees a lively conversation, while you watch him make your crepes on the spot. I did enjoy chowing down on his freshly made ice cream and fruit crepes--that delicious contrast of warm and cold, crispy and soft--but it took a freezer outage to discover the true gems on his menu: the savory crepes -- which the owner ought to promote more. A very good food that doesn't have to be in a super fancy atmosphere. I went there for the first time today and it was great. I had Venice crepe, which had peaches, hazelnut chocolate, whipping cream, and I chose vanilla ice-cream to go with my crepe. Paul, the owner, asked me if I wanted soft or crispy. I told him make it crispy at the edge and soft inside. He did a very good job. $4.59 for my crepe and $1 for ice-cream. It was fantastic little treat for myself. I re-read the review guidelines and nothing is out of place -- I've never worked there, I don't work there, I have no affiliation with them whatsoever. That being said, here's the review that I wrote that earned one "useful" rating before its untimely demise: Paul over at Crepes 4 U makes every single crepe order FRESH and exactly to order right in front of your eyes -- I don't know what the previous reviewer (Jennifer) is talking about. I've been there many times and he has always poured the batter onto the skillet right in front of us, and assembled the fillings (which can include slicing fresh fruit). In fact, it makes the wait fairly long if there's a line, but it's so worth it because the food is all entirely fresh. It is inside of a strip mall that houses a huge asian market -- Asia World Market. It has very limited seating but the crepes are served to hold in your hand with a wrapper and paper cone, so sitting is not necessary. I've been to crepe restaurants in Japan and I LOVE these Japanese-style crepes. Paul is very sweet and is very easy to talk to while you're waiting for your crepe to be cooked. He remembers me every time I visit. I love when I can feel like a regular. And, of course, the final result is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! Edited to add: My favorite is the Choco Roco! This wasn't my first visit but I really liked what I got. I tried the Romeo which seems like a popular one. The guy who makes the crepes takes a lot of time in making them. He has to make it perfect and nice. =) It was fun watching him make all the crepes for the customers ahead of me. I advise to come prepared to eat while standing cause there isn't much sitting areas. Its like a drive-thru where folks get their crepes and walk out. I wouldn't recommend eating and driving at the same time cause you might get messy and its dangerous. The weird part of my visit was I called prior to coming in to check the hours, which no one posted up here which I will do. He asked me "Didn't you call earlier?" Definitely loving this place. Sweetest owner and delicious crepes. I really enjoy that I get greeted upon as soon as I walk in and they're always very helpful in my ordering. The regular customers seem to love this place and I've even seen some bring gifts to the owner during holidays as well. To my surprise.. he's really good at remembering people, even large families.
