First impression: Last time I was here, it was probably about 10 years ago, and it was absolutely amazing. The customer service was on point, and the ambiance was exactly what I expected. It felt cozy. The food was absolutely incredible. I had at that time strawberries with some peach on a crêpe, and it was awesome. My son had a savory ham and cheese crêpe, and it tasted great. This time around, I came with my daughter and my sister-in-law. We had Nutella crêpes with strawberry and also one with strawberry and banana, and they tasted amazing. However, I have to add that the customer service was not top-notch as it was before. Very negative at the beginning, first impressions. I would've left with the greeting that we received; the tone we were greeted in was not pleasant, and we were shooed away outside. Second impression, the same. My sister-in-law had a wobbly table, and her drink fell. I went inside to get paper towels, and when I told them about the incident, their response was less than satisfactory. Their remark, "Oh, you made a mess?" came across as dismissive and unprofessional. I answered, "Well, yes, on your wobbly table." If it wasn't for my daughter needing or wanting food, we would have left. In addition, the waiter behind the counter seemed very angry and didn't seem to like what they were doing. It made us feel as though our presence and satisfaction weren't important to them. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. On a positive note, our food waiter was very nice and attentive. He greeted us nicely and provided great service. If it weren't for the unpleasant experience with the others, we would have had a great time. However, considering the overall experience, I won't be returning to Crepes on Columbus. It's a shame because the crêpes themselves were exceptional in taste and quality. But the combination of the unwelcoming attitude, dismissive response to the spill, and the lack of attention from certain staff members has left a lasting negative impression. I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving the customer service aspect to match the outstanding food they serve. read more

I came here with a few friends on a Sunday morning for brunch and we were seated immediately. Our server was pretty friendly, and was helpful in explaining some of the items that we didn't understand (don't worry, there aren't really that many complicated dishes...). Another great perk is that the coffee is unlimited refills (once again, adding to the diner vibe), which is great for anyone recovering from a hangover. I ordered the Goat Cheese Ratatouille, which was pretty tasty. The ratatouille isn't anything too special, but it does work well with the goat cheese. My friends got the pancakes (which was a pretty large serving size), the oeuf columbus crepe (which is actually kind of small), and an egg platter with meat (which definitely has enough food for a person). All in all, the food was pretty good, service was quick, and the unlimited coffee is definitely a plus. The eggs were terribly dry and the texture was rubbery. The so-called ratatouille was just some soggy vegetables with a mushy texture. The sauce, or what I thought was supposed to be sauce, was watered down vegetable juice. The goat cheese potato cake was okay, but the flavor combined with the mushy vegetables just enhanced an unsatisfying sour flavor. French Toast with bacon & 2 eggs ($12.75): The french toast somehow came out soggy. I don't know how they managed that. It was just odd. Thank goodness for the bacon and eggs. Perhaps they were having an off day. Poached eggs and french toast are not the easiest dishes to cook, but definitely not difficult to master, especially since they are a breakfast place. read more

I came here for brunch with my mother in law, I had the Banana and Nutella Crepes and she had the Strawberry, Banana and Nutella Crepes. Not only were they extremely pleasing to the eye, but they had the perfect crunch! I've had crepes in the past that were just way too soft and sort of slimy. Came here for lunch so there wasn't a lot of people which made the service quick and responsive. Our server was a really nice man and he was quick to take our orders. My friend who comes here often swears by their crepes and orders them everytime she comes. I didn't have any though. I got blueberry pancakes for myself and they were really good! I asked for the blueberries inside the pancakes instead of on top and they actually put a good amount of blueberries inside my pancakes! The pancakes were fluffy and very enjoyable. I added bacon as a side with my pancakes and the bacon was perfectly crispy and they gave me several strips of bacon and not like 1-2 that you would normally get at fancy brunch places lol.
