Been to Crepevine once before and thought it was a good 4 star breakfast spot. I'm sad because I didn't leave a review initially but remember I loved their potatoes. They have a large chalkboard menu of their menu options. They have a wide variety of sweet and savory crepes. Came here on the whim recently to enjoy their sweet crepes and was very disappointed. We got three crepes, their seasonal Biscoff, Tri Berry and Midnight Blues. Biscoff was super good, loved the flavor and sweetness, this was my family's favorite. Tri Berry was like your classic nutella crepe and it was pretty good. But the Tri Berry was horrendous, there was so much rum sauce and made the actual crepe soggy. It was almost like a soup, we barely touched it. We barely touched this one unfortunately.

Good customer service really friendly and attentive staff (: Food was good. Probably get the sandwich next time! You order at the register and get a number to bring back to your table

Gluten free Philly crepe with potatoes and side salad

This is one of those rare places where I can at least get a gluten free crepe. I decided to go in mid-afternoon for a late lunch. they have a chalkboard full of options to pick from. I ordered the Philly savory crepe and a lemonade. I was given a number and picked an open table to sit at. My food and lemonade came in about ten mins of me sitting down. The potatoes were great and I enjoyed the side salad it came with. The crepe was delicious and filled with cheesy steak and peppers. I regretted not getting some hot peppers with it but they did have hot sauces on the table so used that. Decent overall and will come back when I'm in the mood for another gluten free crepe.

I've been to Crepevine many times, including the Mountain View and Palo Alto locations as well. It's always a good choice for solid American comfort food. Portions are super generous as well. This time around, we shared the Big Sur sandwich, banana biscoff crepe, parma pasta, and spicy cornbread with jalapeño jelly. Their fries are always great and on the crispier end. Sandwiches are solid, I've tried a handful of them and you can't really go wrong with these. Banana biscoff crepe was quite heavy, I think they used the biscoff cookie butter which was pretty thick in the crepe. I did like the vanilla bean ice cream that came with the crepe though. Parma pasta was nothing mindblowing but just classic hearty vibes. The garlic bread that came with the pasta wasn't great though, quite soggy and flavorless. Personally wasn't a huge fan of the spicy cornbread because I prefer my cornbread to be sweet. Service was good, food came out fast. Will definitely be coming back to the Crepevine locations!

Had a club sandwich and sweet potato fries from Crepevine for dinner the other night. The sandwich was a triple decker on sourdough with chicken, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I really enjoyed it. The sweet potato fries were good, too.

Visited for New Year brunch with family - Crepevine is always a hit because of their broad menu & fantastic staff. * Location: Easy to find street or lot parking on Lincoln * Ambiance: Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, order at cashier and grab a table. * Food: Breakfast & Brunch/Lunch menu with savory and sweet options for everyone. Dedicated juice, coffee, soft drinks menu and beer/wine menu. Food is solid, portions are generous, flavors are consistent. * Staff: Always super attentive, helpful, & make sure each table has everything they need. Brother got a Biscoff Latte, I tried the Petaluma Scramble, mom tried the Santa Rosa SC - we all loved the food. We'll keep coming back!

The buttermilk pancakes were soft, warm, and thick. They had a fluffy texture that soaked up the syrup well. There's also a complimentary parking garage right next to the restaurant, which makes it convenient.

This is my favorite Crepevine location! They are super sweet and attentive here. You order up at the counter and then find a table to sit at, I like the outside seating here. The food is also really good and consistent here, we always like what we order. Chicken shawarma is a go to! It comes with either fries or potatoes and a generous portion of Cesar salad.

Of all the breakfast places in the area - which there are many, this one is always a solid option. You need to order your own food at the counter then take a seat and they will bring you your food. This minimizes the additional cost making it more affordable than some of the other options in the area. They have a rather large menu with lots of sweet and savory options to choose from. Both breakfast and lunch options. The portions at this restaurant for breakfast are very generous. I always take home leftovers. The have a very gluten-free friendly menu and their gluten free crepes are really good. There have ample of indoor and outdoor seating but it does get busy on weekends during peek breakfast hours. If you there there by 9 am, you shouldn't have a problem getting a seat. The noise level is average it depending on how many excited kids are eating near your table. Because they have some amazing stacked pancakes and waffles.

    Auriana N.

If I could use a word to describe my experience at Crepevine I'd say 'average'. They have so many different cuisine chooses so that's pretty cool but my food itself wasn't up to par. If you're looking for an average American meal you may find something worth while. The dish portions are large & the prices are very reasonable.

One of my favorite brunch spots in San Jose. I've been coming here for years and the quality has never waned. I usually get the same thing; the Willow Glen crepe. It's a sweet crepe with bananas, strawberries and Nutella served with a side of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. I also get a side of crispy bacon so I have something savory. My friend got the Florentine crepe. You have a choice of fries or country potatoes. He also got the cornbread with the jalapeño jelly. It was so good. This place gets busy on weekend mornings but the wait isn't long at all. Good service and nice sitting area outside.

This was actually a 4.5 star visit! And it has nothing to do with the food We have a ritual of coming here on Mother's Day. They usually have a nice photo booth type setup where we take our annual family picture. They didn't have one today! The moms were disappointed! I'm writing this review with the hope that management will plan to have it next year! I am hoping to make a timelapse for as long as we are able to keep this ritual of coming here on Mother's Day.

    Shruti J.

The drinks were good. Service was fast. Pesto and alfredo pasta were good. Sandwiches were ok. Omelettes were bomb. The outside has a weird smell which isn't the established fault. Luckily we were sitting inside. Has an upscale diner feel.

Ask the Community - Crepevine Restaurants

Are the gluten-free crepes and pancakes also dairy free?

Crepes, pancakes and waffles are only gluten free, sadly their recipes still have eggs and milk inside their mixtures.

Do you accommodate dietary needs? Substitutions. For medical, allergy etc?

They offer gluten-free, and I know you can switch out a couple of items here and there. I'm sure if you're allergic to nuts or something, they can accommodate that.

Is the feta cheese used pasteurized?

    Unfortunately it is not

Any gluten free menu you items besides salad?

Most crepes can be made gluten free upon request

Do they allow dogs in the outdoor patio?

    Yes they do

    Do you have outdoor dining?

Yes, they have an outdoor patio attached to the restaurant as well as a covered seating area on the street/sidewalk since covid started.

Can you make reservations for a large party?

Maybe... I saw a group of 8 or 10 together when they joined 2 tables together.

Hey there party People…read more Decided to venture into Willow Glen today on the hunt for something new to try. Boy howdy did we hit the Mother Load with "The Table". We hit the Brunch hour and the place was rocking. We were able to sit right down amazingly. There is a fabulous patio to people watch and enjoy the California weather. Our server Charles was really great. He walked us through the menu giving us the 911 on watch to order. Most of the plates were perfect shareable bites. Making it easy to try multiple plates and really get your inner Foodie on. We started with the Seasonal Banana Pancakes with crushed walnuts and cinnamon maple syrup. Inside the pancakes were fresh bananas and the walnuts were crushed very small but added a great texture. Moving on to the Chicago Steak sandwich don't get confused but in Chicago they refer to Roast Beef as steak. The Au Jus dip was very flavorful without being a salt bomb. Loved the potato roll they used all round a killer sandwich. Going a little outside the box we tried the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The pineapple slaw with this amazing peppery chutney type sauce played so well with the acid of the pineapple. Another must have sandwich. I ask you how can you go to a new restaurant and not have some dessert. With everything else being so good our expectations were pretty high and we were not disappointed. The Giant Profiterole is exactly that GIANT and stuffed with White Chocolate Gelato and Hot Chocolate Sauce that you can drizzle over the top. To fricken die for good. If you are in Willow Glen and you don't stop here you are missing out on something wonderful. Be kind to one another

When we were seated, we were given a list of items that were not available. I originally wanted to try the pancakes but ended up ordering the chicken sandwich instead. This was genuinely one of the worst chicken sandwiches I have ever had. It was extremely gristly, fatty, and made with dark meat, which felt like an odd choice for a chicken sandwich. I'm not sure why this cut of chicken was used. The fries were alright, but they did not come with the sandwich and cost an additional $5. Our total came to almost $90 for three entrees with no beverages. I was especially frustrated because my sandwich was inedible. For the price and quality, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place.

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like. I am a big advocate for trying new things every time I go to a restaurant, but it was so good I ordered the same thing the second time I went. Arancini is flavored with Japanese curry with creamy fontina in the center topped off with kimchi mayo. Holy f. These quite literally put the traditional Italian ones to shame (sorry not sorry). Next was the bucatini. It had tom yum butter, lime, basil- all the fix ins of what you want from tom yum flavors with the luxuriousness added from the butter. It was sinful. Last and certainly not least, is the pork katsu. I cannot even remember the last time I ordered a pork katsu, but something told me to order it. Thank God I did, as it quite literally changed my life. If they ever take it off the menu I am not sure I would be OK. It is crispy and is swimming in this koji butter, but the key is that it is NOT greasy. I quite literally think about it all the time. To the point where I had it twice in a week. Service was great, bartenders are so friendly. The place is cute and vibrant. Keep in mind it is small- limited seating inside and a small patio outside. But so worth the wait. Ambiance 5 Wine 5…read more Service 5 Food 5 So why the 4 rating... TBH there's a good chance that I'll adjust it soon, but if I could give a 4.5 I would. First the knock, and to be fair, it's probably just an opinion / idea. Given the birth of natural wine and the South Bay, it would be wonderful to see a curated selection of tasting flights, no more than two or three options with anywhere from 3 to 6 wine wines each, priced accordingly. Maintaining a proper wine menu when all you do is natural wine can certainly be a challenge. If you wine flights depending on what you have would certainly elevate the customer experience by educating more people natural wine and helping them make better choices when it comes to a bottle purchase. I paid $61 for a bottle that was recommended, and at that price point I wonder how many people who are new to natural wine might be turned off. Chris was a wonderful host and certainly the right person to engage with customers around their various wines. Given how small the space is and how busy it can get, a weekly tasting flight menu might be a good way to engage those customers who are waiting to order at the bar and perhaps even spark a more productive conversation with Chris. We ordered the peach and ricotta dish with Thai basil... wow, a wonderful surprise. Peaches are always battling in and out of the top spot on my summer fruit list and this combination was downright dirty and delicious! We also ordered the raw oysters with watermelon mignonette. Another wow! I didn't expect the little spice kick and it was a perfect pairing to the sweetness of the watermelon. If anyone knows the recipe let me know, I'd bottle that mignonette and take it with me wherever I have oysters!! Overall, a great experience and I most definitely look forward to going back!
