Fish Taco Breakfast Skillet
Julie S.

Tried out Patio Del Copal with my parents and brother. The food was really delicious from the fish tacos, garlic shrimp plate and breakfast skillet with two kinds of sausage. My mom also really enjoyed the beans and rice too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is bright with a nice ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server was friendly and pretty busy.

The Truck Stops Here Semi-newish (ca.2021) Mexican restaurant located in a building that used to house a thrift store (Junk Drawer) and has no built-in kitchen, ergo the food truck outside. Despite the less than ideal cooking situation, they actually churn out a surprising amount of restaurant-quality food and drink. The Good: *Not a huge shared parking lot, but it was plentiful. No street parking IFO the restaurant fwiw. *Catering available *Friendly service *[[HIGHLIGHT]]Dog-friendly covered outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *[[HIGHLIGHT]]Not only do they have Dog-friendly seating, but they also have a special pup menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *Complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic! Maybe just a touch too salty, but in this case I'd rather it be over than under. *Banana Horchata was a delicious a nice flavor combo. *Had to try their famous fish taco and it was 100% worth the extra calories. The fish was fried perfectly and the fresh ingredients and Chipotle cream sauce on top was fantastic. *Quesa-Birria Tacos were also delicious and not overly greasy. Not the best I've had, but they got the job done. *Carissa enjoyed her Blue Fajita Tacos very much. That girl loves her peppas. The Meh: *While very friendly, the service was not the speediest as our server was basically a one-woman show doing everything but the cooking. Fortunately, we had nothing to do and all-day to do it. The Ugly: *Very odd that there's no County Health records on this place. Not sure if it's classified differently since it's a food truck or what the deal is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Conclusion: [[HIGHLIGHT]]Delicious Mexican food in a welcoming environment but just don't be in any kind of rush to get in and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Love this place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food is delicious and the atmosphere is so nice![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have flowers and lights outside and nice cultural decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Some of the servers are really nice, some not so much. Their dinner is five stars but I didn't like breakfast the last time I had it. I definitely recommend their lunch and dinner. We ordered: - Fish taco: crunchy and flakey. They give a good amount of fish and I love the chipotle sauce it comes with. - Carnitas taco: some of the best carnitas, juicy and flavorful, not a fan of the tortillas but the meat makes up for it - Rice and beans are classic, nothing fancy but delicious - Chips and salsa: homemade chips are so good! And the salsa is delicious, nothing too spicy but has a nice kick - Burritos: huge, flavorful, good. Doesn't come with salsa so we used the salsa from the chips - elote: on the cob, so flavorful and looks pretty - horchata: this is sometimes good sometimes not, it can have a strong flavor that lingers I also got their chilaquiles which were ok. I've had better. It didn't have much flavor and the avocados it came with were rock hard. Overall, definitely recommend for lunch or dinner. I would try breakfast again but maybe something different.

Squash Blossoms Quesadilla

Went on a whim on a Wednesday evening - first visit! Loved the chips and salsa! Loved the elote! We also ordered the squash blossom quesadillas- the veggies in this were a true delight. Amazing texture, crunch and flavor. Highlight of the evening though was the veggie burrito- hands down one of the best we've had recently! We will be back soon!

I just wanted to add to my previous review that the fish taco is amazing! Also it's a huge portion and really tasty. As usual, great service and delicious food make for a lovely outdoor eating experience. This place is really great.

What a delightful Mexican Restaurant! I chose the combo with 3 items, 2 chile rellenos, carnitas enchilada. Vegetarian Hubby had chile relleno stuffed with sautéed veggies and cheese, over a bed of Spanish rice and black beans. Complimentary chips and salsa. Very tasty food! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Warm ambiance, friendly service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will definitely come back!

Good food and fast service in an unassuming location. The patio seating is a step up from a parklet, and the menu has delicious and varied styles of different areas of Mexico suitable for both the most sensitive and the adventurous palates. Good for a date or a special family outing. As good as the food is they're always working to improve the menu. Breakfast is available all day. Tortilla chips are served hot and fresh. The succulent mix of sweet and savory flavors in the Piña de Patio must be tasted to be believed. The Chilaquiles is made with authentic queso fresco, and the egg is cooked to the style you prefer. The variety of flavors they offer is as festive as the atmosphere and attentive service. This is a meal well worth seeking out.

Had a chance to try Patio Del Copal, and this was an awesome experience! This is a restaurant with the food truck next to it which is kindof cool. You have really cute outdoor seating as well as modern indoor seating which is great. We ended up placing a Grubhub order here and glad we did. We got to try: * Al Pastor Quesadilla - if you are looking for cheesy goodness, this is a good option. The meat was really well marinated and every bite was yummy. * Super Burrito w/ Chicken - the size of this burrito was huge and it was stuffed with much goodness. I wish it had a little more chicken in it, but the flavors went well together. Overall service was fast, and we got the food when we arrived, piping hot. Someone also helped us with a red sauce and a chipotle sauce, both which were delicious! I would give this spot a shot when in the area!

I thought the tortillas were made in house - they had than handmade texture and flavor - but apparently they are not. I was really excited about the place, until we ordered our main dishes. I had the camarones ala diabla. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, and there was no heat at all to the sauce. My friend ordered the mojarra frita. He said the fish was OK, but didn't have a lot of flavor. Portions were good and the price was reasonable. Overall I enjoyed my visit, but the main dishes were disappointing.

My buddy was also craving some Fish n Chips as well. Good size venue with a decent amount of seating. Parking is not an issue, with plenty of spaces in the plaza. Note, when most people think Los Gatos, they think downtown, however this restaurant is on the edge of Los Gatos/San Jose. But don't let that deter you, the interior of the restaurant felt trendy and on par. Since this was our first time here and we're not too familiar with Eastern European dishes, we opted for the chef's menu and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing and the presentation was even better. Everything felt very fresh. The egg and the macaron bites are so unique, I would definitely recommend giving them a try. Service was impeccable, I don't think our water glasses ever got even halfway empty before they were refilled. Our server explained the menu and food/wine extremely well. With 10 items on the chef's menu, the portions were perfect. I actually appreciate a menu with more items and smaller portions, allowing you to taste more without feeling too full to eat the last few dishes. One of us has a tree nut allergy and they were able to accommodate them with no problems at all. Something to note, the chef's menu was pretty seafood heavy, which I love, but it might not be for everyone. I did overhear the table next to us sing praises of the short rib, so I will definitely be back to give that a try!

We also ordered the panang curry with chicken per the server's req as we normally order it with beef at other restaurants. There were also a lot of other curries that I had never seen before and very curious about for a future visit. We got medium spice on both dishes and my spice tolerance isn't super high or low, but wow, I was sweating! It was a very good spice though! The pad kee mao had so many beautiful vegetables and fried tofu and I really loved this dish! I just wish there were more noodles. The panang curry portion was huge, could easily feed 4 people! I got to take the leftovers home and again, lots of veggies in this curry which I really liked! Will surely be back as this is my new favorite Thai restaurant in the area!

I feel like he should've at least walked over and confirmed with his manager because the manager was there onsite. There was also no price listed for the Pacific Caesar salad. So the server finally got back to me with the price. My friend said that she had just gotten it with chicken. The server said that adding chicken or salmon would be $8 for either one. However, also incorrect! Online it shows that chicken is only $6. (hello, fish is always more expensive, especially salmon.) I didn't trust what he said, so I decided to skip that dish. My friend had said it was really good too. Oh well. I also didn't appreciate how when I went to pay the 22% was also marked as a default tip, so I would assume he ticked that. He also said he didn't have that today either. And he claimed there was no such menu. So maybe they got rid of it. However, it is still listed online?
