I stopped at this location today in the morning to get an Oil Change for my 2013 Chrysler 300. I bought my own Synthetic Oil and Filter from O'Reilly. My car was ready to go in 18 minutes! WOW such amazing fast Customer Service! I was very impressed :) The total labor cost was $50 and the shop also included two free air fresheners as well. AWFUL LOCATION!!!! THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE!! So unprofessional and not sure they know what they are doing here. The management used very vulgar language and behavior towards us as we did not want to get all these add ons done that they were trying to sell us. They used F words at us and then didn't put our cap and filter back on properly purposely and our vehicle has leaked sooo much it has ruined our driveway! The cost for a quick oil change $125. Then, 'can we change your air filters?' How much? Change 1, but leave the cabin (the cost was 6x the price of what I could get it for). Well, I changed it 2 weeks later and found they simply threw the cover back in the glove box! Took it apart and tossed it back in. I haven't checked to see if they really change the other filter. But then, I keep a really nice first aid kit in my car (kids sports), I opened it up this weekend and half of what was in there this season is now gone! You shouldn't have to keep eyes on everyone all the time to make sure you're not getting ripped off! read more

Don't come to this location. I have a dodge challenger hellcat and they kept revving up my engine when it wasn't even in the bay. I yelled at the employees and the manager didn't do anything to accommodate me. I've been called the district manager and the only thing he can do for me is give me a 10% discount for a future oil change. What a joke! I recently had my oil changed at this location - and the staff was so careless. I saw them pounding a piece back onto my car, and was assured everything was in working order. Two days later I'm driving on the expressway and hear an extremely loud screeching coming from my car. I was barely able to pull over, had to call my mechanic to drive out to my location. As it turns out - Jiffy Lube never connected the middle plate under the car after the oil change. Not only was it a dangerous mistake, it was careless and I had to pay extra for additional services with my own mechanic. I would not recommend this location - or any Jiffy Lube for that matter. So sad, they lost stars from me. I came here in the morning no customers so they weren't busy and there were about 4 guys working. So here it goes... They need to make sure to check their computer system upgrade as I was told that there were some customers who came to this establishment as regulars and they were not in their system as well. Yes dude, I am in your system I've been coming here for years now. Luckily, I had my old receipt in the car from last time so I didn't have to go through the whole process as a new customer. They didn't screw my tire caps on tightly, they were so loose that I know for sure they would have come off easily while driving. Also I don't know if it was really cold outside but my tire pressure information in my car still showed that there's not enough air in my tires what tha!?! The front desk customer service was okay I was able to get the $12.00 discount for the early bird special. They were quick changing my oil but not a good job vacuuming inside my car. It's the little things I noticed that I was getting annoyed about. They even forgot the sticker in my car when the next time I would need to come back for an oil change. Really guys!?! The tire caps and sticker issues has happened to me twice already! Man, if they don't fix the attentiveness and customer service that they use to have before, then I might have to go to a different location and I don't really want to because this location is close to me. read more

Jiffy Lube does not have any standards for who they hire allowing this shop to be filled with unmotivated & inexperienced workers. Upon entering the shop I was greeted by a nice young man who was obviously stoned. They took me into the shop and into the checkout area to talk to a manager who also reeked of marijuana and he had eyes as red as the Devil's butt. I got a speedy service but I am not confident that they did their job right. Nothing special about the price, average oil change price & service. I will get my oil changed at the custom mileage they gave me (for "severe" driving) but I will not be coming back to Jiffy Lube for that. I used to come to this site a lot and I was in and out. Today once I got in the lube bay, they took 30 plus minutes to do oil change, tried to do a tire rotation when I said no at entry, tech was trying to sell me filter replacement for air and cabin filters. I said no and he kept doing his shpeel and I said no again and he kept going and I said no again I need to get back to work and was saying he was just doing his job. Frustrating. I've been here multiple times before with several vehicles, and I've forgiven some previous experiences and chalked them up to employees having a bad day or their being busy. The reality is that I've always been a little irked by the "oil changes start at $xx.xx" response and the final bill. They will never give you a straight answer until you prod them or get to the end of the visit and are standing in front of their register. Every single visit they attempt to upcharge or up-sell you for everything, including that 6th quart of oil because the price is for 5 quarts. Most SUVs take 6. Filters are overpriced, and "coupons" bring prices down from 'really high' to 'high.' The staff is never the same, which I attribute to high turnover. The staff always seem to be high school kids with one person over 21. On this, my 3rd visit with this car, my experience was no different. I found the employees to be uninformed, rather rude, and dismissive. Similar to previous visits, I also saw more people standing around or walking over to Burger King or the Delta Sonic than actually working on cars. This experience has turned me off of using Jiffy Lube anymore. It's back the dealership or other car care centers for me. They have better trained and staffed establishments, while also having better standards for ensuring you have upfront pricing and reliable, certified mechanics. (No, I am not an employee of any dealerships. Nor am I always a fan of the higher prices at a dealership, but sometimes I have to concede that you get what you pay for.) Do yourself a favor and call around and just ask for pricing from other places. I'm betting you'll see right away that Jiffy Lube is overpriced (unless you get the daily deal between specific hours for very basic conventional oil change and refuse the upgrades) and the quality of the experience is drastically different. read more

I'm not sure if they're under new management or what after the negative reviews, but my experience was great. I usually go elsewhere but had my 2 young children with me and couldn't wait an hour at my usual place. I tried this location and they got me in immediately. Everyone was very friendly, particularly with my kids. They even got out a little step stool for them to watch through the window. My kids both had to use the restroom while we were there and I was pleasantly surprised that it was very clean and smelled nice. I'm recovering from leg surgery and still have a hard time walking, so when it was time to go, they were very courteous and helped me with the kids when I needed it. Somehow I parked too close to a curb and a part of my undercarriage fell off the hinges and then I drove through train tracks and some other bumpy roads and not only did the undercarriage fall off it also got mangled under my tire. Somehow I made it to this jiffy lube location and these guys helped me out. Assured me I am ok to carry on but not to get too close to the curbs. I had five guys work on my car and I literally thought I was going to spontaneously combust from embarrassment. But I really blame Chicago roads. They changed the oil too. As you can image this was super fast. While I was in the waiting area sweating it out, I ended up talking to another customer and she told me that this is her spot for oil changes and she always had great experience doing business here. read more

Just wanna start with the fact this location was pretty empty. They had couple sets of cars inside maybe it was closing time. I pull in and park up to quickly review their full services list online in case I wanted to buy more than a basic oil change. The guy shouted at me from the garage "what do you want" to were I return in the same shout I'm looking at the services on the site and he returns "I can't hear you" with a dumb smirk and walks closer to my car. To when I repeat myself and he's like "oh okay I thought you were like watching us or something" to where I responded no why would I do that that's so random to say to a customer but okay. Then he walks back inside and I hear the Hispanic older sounding guy saying aloud "What did he want" . That's just an extremely sh*t service after that I'm like. I'll definitely take my money elsewhere and drove off. Where in any business do you get off speaking directly to a customer that way? If I was the boss I'd fire you on the spot and put that dumb smirk you had on. Terrible absolute terrible. I've been going here for years for a quick, simple oil change. They always strip the American bolts, but i haven't had a problem with my Honda. However, this time they STOLE my rear windshield wiper. They told me it was ripped, which I didn't believe since its relatively new and I had just used it that day. I figured even if it was ripped, I'll replace it soon on my own. After I left, the rear wiper blade seemed really destroyed and I wondered if they ripped it on purpose because it wasn't that bad before and even if it was, this was ridiculous. I go back there today to see how damaged it had gotten in a few hours and the whole thing is GONE. I don't think it was that bad to begin with, but even if it was, you just steal it?? I also thought it was odd that my whole inside was moved around. The seat was adjusted, my water bottles were moved, my cup holder was pushed in, my chargers rearranged. There's nothing for them to get to from the inside and they didn't vacuum so there's no reason to touch my personal belongings. I don't know if I trust them at all anymore. read more

Jiffy Lube did indeed do their due diligence in taking care of my issue. I have even been back to the location close to my house.

They changed the oil on my wife's Audi, and failed to properly reattach the plastic engine shield under the car. With it hanging and all the snow it got tore up. I removed what was left and ordered a replacement. When it came in i went to put it on, really hard to do by crawling underneath, i noticed oil leaking. I mentioned the leak to my wife, who mentioned just getting an oil change... this is where i realized that Jiffy Lube failed to properly secure the plastic engine shield. I called them, they were nice enough to agree to attach the new one i purchased. While there to have them attach the new shield, they point out the leak... the leak that started either when they changed the oil or the unsecured shield caused it as it was dragged and ripped off. Fast forward 2 days later the wife calls me, she was about to leave work, came out and can see the shield half laying on the ground. I had to drive to her work to secure it enough to drive... i called Jiffy Lube back, and they gave me the "maybe she hit a snow bank, they come off pretty easily"? I replied with, so in the i years the car has been driven, its just now a problem... and hung up. I bought some jack stands and this weekend when i had time i went to secure it myself... it was hanging on by a piece of wire they used in the back... and all of the other 13 fasteners were gone... i picked us some new fasteners from autozone, when i went to reattach i noticed they installed it upside down... So to recap - Jiffy Lube improperly (missing fasteners) installed the plastic engine shield causing it to get ripped off. When the installed the replacment i purchased they installed it upside down and instead of getting some fasteners they used wire and tried to just wedge it in place. After all of this do they own up to it? Are they going to fix the oil leak? No and no, i would not trust them to fix the leak, for all i know they did it purposely... i will never use Jiffy Lube again... read more

Took my van in for an oil change working just fine. Left with my vans steering messed up. They said supposedly they seen a power steering leak when I pulled in, yet didn't mark it on the sheet or notify me of any problem. Tj Doyle the manager literally cussed me out when I insisted that this problem did indeed happen there. Tj Doyle than continued to tell me this conversation is done and hung up in my face. My experience was great, until I noticed a crack in my windshield. With their expanded service, they wanted to wash the outside of all my windows. Unfortunately, it just snowed and was very cold, so there was ice built-up at the bottom of my windshield. The guy who was washing the windows took the bottom of the squeegee and starting pounding on the ice to break it up. I, along with another worker, watched him do this. I asked the worker to tell him to stop, as I needed to run more errands. It didn't look like he was hitting it too hard, but the damage was done. I noticed the crack a little while later as it started to expand, and in two hours, it spread across the entire windshield. I called to get a hold of the manager, and after a couple hours, we finally spoke. I brought the car back so they could take pictures of it to show to their district manager. The DM called me back a couple days later and said his guys were not responsible. He made this determination without seeing the window, and without taking his employee's side of the story (again, he and I stood together and watched his co-worker hit the window with the bottom of the squeegee). I asked to speak to the owner and the DM said he would call me back. I received no call from him. I tired contacting corporate and no one responded either. I am not one to provide reviews, but this shop does not deserve the business it gets. Being that this is a first impression off of a service that I was denied of...if you are going for the purpose of an oil change and an all-around inspection, this place seems the place too be (and no nitrous I guess in your tires either, but I'll talk about that). If you are looking for a quick oil change without the bells and whistles, don't go here because you will be told they don't do that, they only do their "signature" oil change (with the all-around inspection). Also, for the first time in ANY car repair shop, I also was denied service because supposedly I have nitrous in my tires (by the green cap?) and they don't have the same air. All is good then, I took my business elsewhere where they do provide a quick oil change without the extra bells and whistles and my regular auto repair shop and every place I've been to who never denied me service due to nitrous in my tires. read more

Either they didn't check the fluids OR they left the cap off (common issue at jiffy lube) because I went to get an oil change today somewhere else and I had no coolant. I looked at my receipt from the last oil change and it says "FULL" it also says " Level FULL" for the transmission which they can't check because its a Lexus and it's under the car. I almost blew out my engine, radiator or trans because I came to a place that hires high school kids and has a revolving door. Do yourself a favor and take your car to a mechanic or reputable shop where you see the same people working and get over the opening the door for me bull crap because that's not what matters. read more

I've thought about making a yelp account for years but never got around to it. I specifically made a yelp account today to write this review I can't even express how happy I am with the service I got at this Jiffy Lube today. Usually this is my go to oil change spot, they always do a good job, but today they went above and beyond. For the last year or so my hood latch hasn't been working and my hood hasn't closed properly. I've spent countless hours trying to fix it myself. I took my car to a "trusted" mechanic, and he tried to fix the issue. That mechanic and another said the only thing to do was to replace my hood latch mechanism...which would have cost hundreds of dollars. Today at Jiffy Lube, after my oil change I noticed the technicians trying to fix my hood latch. I explained the problem to them and that they could just leave it. The techs said they could fix it. I honestly didn't think they'd be able to fix it.... after hours of trying myself and after two mechanics saying it wasn't fixable. To my surprise, about 15 minutes later they had my hood latch working again. I was completely blown away. These techs went out of their way to fix an issue that could have cost me hundreds of dollars if I had listened to my mechanic. They didn't charge me ANYTHING to fix my hood, they actually seemed happy to have been able to fix it, and on top of all of that they told me I could stop by in the future if it's a problem! I wish I could do more or say more about how happy I was with my service today. I only regret that I didn't get any of the techs/managers names so I could thank them personally but I was so shocked/happy about them fixing my issue that I completely forgot about getting their names lol read more

Great service that is swift, friendly, and honest. They could've have changed my headlight at a cost but it only needed a little adjustment so they told me and fixed it. Far gone from the days when you knew that whatever BS spewed out the mouths of Jiffy Lube's employees were just scare tactics to suck more $$$ out of you. These guys are always quick and courteous. Prices are fair and the quality of the work is good. There aren't many oil-change places where my wife would feel comfortable going and know that she can trust what they say. The last visit, they offered to replace something for free. It was small, but still meant a lot to us. We've been taking a Land Rover and Cadillac there for a few years and have nothing but a great experience. The only reason for a Four-Star is that there waiting room is really small and they won't let you stay in your car. So, your options for phone calls are very limited on such a busy corner. read more

Totally destroyed my vehicle's transmission after having been serviced here. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. They were supposed to service my front differential, but instead they added gear oil to my transmission and overfilled it. On my first long road trip after this service, the oil in my transmission overheated to 212 degrees and cooked the belts in the transmission. My car is totally ruined now and Jiffy Lube has refused to acknowledge any responsibility for this because I decided to take my car somewhere else to diagnose the problem. Instead of stepping up, they are exploiting insurance loopholes to avoid paying for their mistake - now I'm stuck with an $8500 service bill and over three weeks of car rental charges because it has taken them so long to even respond to me - every contact I have had with this location or their district manager I have had to initiate and they have been very slow to respond. Often when I call I am told they are just "busy", with no appreciation that wasted time has come at my expense. I was continually run around without anyone ever putting me in direct contact with the franchise owner or a corporate insurance provider. Find somewhere else to have your vehicle serviced - I will never again return to Jiffy Lube after this experience! read more

I took my car exclusively to this location for a number of years. At my last visit they striped my oil plug which ruined the oil pan. The owner was unwilling to pay for the replacement then stopped returning my phone calls. I ended up paying $500 out of pocket for the repair. I have 13 business vehicles. I go in this place 3 times a month and the price is never the same even though I was given a solid price by the owner face to face.I have to get on the phone each and every time and explain who we are and they cant find us in the computer. They will drain your oil meantime and charge whatever they feel like charging. It appears he has hired a bunch of Idiots who don't care about the customers at all. I was in there on one day and there was a kid with his pants belted below his ass! Nice image. I had a trans flush once there and they over filled it by 5 quarts. I noticed my trans leaking a lot after I left and went back. No apologies. These guys don't give an S about you or your car. They also left my oil filler cap off and it was lost. Just bought my first car, and wasn't sure if it's oil had been changed lately. Being a used older car with lots of miles I just wanted to be sure it was full of oil! Not only did they check my oil, they checked everything as they would for any customer, even cleaned a corrosion on my battery!! All of this no charge, I am def. Went in for a simple oil change. The cashier, Joseph A, advised me that I may be due for a tire rotation and some other maintenance work as well. I agreed to the tire rotation. When they were finished, he returned to ring me up, and informed me that my specific model did not actually require tire rotations, so I was only charged for the oil change. I am very grateful for the quick and HONEST service from Joseph and the rest of the team at JL today. I do not know much about cars and have heard some worrying stories about quick service spots. I was so frustrated with the service I got today at the Jiffy Lube at North Ave. & 83. They quoted me a price, told me it would take 10-12 minutes, and promised me a $10 coupon. Instead it took 25 minutes. They tried to upcharge me on the quote (telling me my headlight was special and would cost more), did not provide the service I needed, and did not give me the coupon. Their communication was horrible, and it was evident they did not care at all. When I questioned the difference in their prices from a different Jiffy Lube they kept telling me they were no longer corporately owned and that each store has their own prices. When I told them the other Jiffy Lube did not think my headlights were "special" I got the same answer again. (I had my other head light changed a couple months ago). I got better service, more respectful communication and better prices at the Jiffy Lube at Summit & Butterfield. I would not recommend the North & 83 location to anyone. read more

I've been a customer here for years, and every single visit has been excellent. I'm greeted politely, led to the waiting room and addressed professionally by the staff as to what service my car requires. There's never a hard sell for extras, if I am hesitant about a recommendation they will explain my options and let me know what the downside might be to deferring the service. My car is serviced quickly and thoroughly and I've never had a problem after the fact.
